Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information is missing that should be on the report
Consumer Complaint: XXXX 's data is incomplete. They claim I have only 3 paid on time accounts when all but one of my accounts is paid, whether open or closed, and never late. I have 1 account that was ever late and I did not know there was anything on the account. The amount was {$5.00} that the card company added after I paid it in full on their website. They showed it as {$200.00}. I had no way to know they had added a charge to the account because I had moved to take care of my elderly mother. They made no attempt to contact me beyond mailing notices to my old address. No email or phone call or text. I had even changed my driver 's license and address so they had notice I had moved. XXXX should show about a dozen Paid/Never Late accounts but they don't. All of their aggregate data is incorrect giving creditors a completely false picture and reducing my credit score from well over XXXX to the mid XXXX 's over a {$5.00} late payment.. In addition, they stole my credit card number and tried to charge me for something I had refused to authorize and blocked me from accessing my account. It took two hours to get someone on the phone to fix it and the next day the same thing happened again.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Problem with fees
Consumer Complaint: I have spoken to my bank to verify that the time I allowed for the payment to reach the company & be posted should have been sufficient. It always was when XXXX serviced the card. But for some reason, this company can't seem to credit my account in a timely manner. Over the past approximately 2 years, I have no idea how much I've paid in late fees or how many times I've called & couldn't speak with anyone who spoke English. I have cancelled this card which I probably had for XXXX plus years. I scheduled my payments on my bill pay app through my XXXX XXXX. I am on a fixed income. I live from paycheck to paycheck. Somewhere between when my check goes to this company and the time they post it, it seems to go in a black hole. The statement always says, " Mailed payments must reach us by XXXX XXXX on _____ ''. I instruct my bank to place them in the mail on a date certain which should be well within the date certain. Many times my payment would show a credit date 15 days or more late. I spoke with employees of my XXXX XXXX about my frustration. This was the only credit card that I had that problem with. I have closed my account with this company, but prior to this I tried repeatedly to get this resolved. I was never able to speak with anyone who had the authority and the understanding of basic English to help me come to any kind of understanding or acceptable resolution. I bet that over the past 2 years, I spent at least {$500.00} in late fees when I hadn't had {$50.00}. in late fees in XXXX years. My bank has the records showing when they were to send payment & when they did send it as well as the dates the checks were cashed. I don't know how to attach them.

Consumer Complaint: I was offered a price of {$65.00} ( including shipping ) for two swimsuits purchased from " XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, '' if I opened a credit card with them. The swimsuits were returned ; but the first statement arrived with a balance of {$75.00} -- not {$65.00} Several days and hours-per-call later, I have not been able to get the matter resolved -- different persons at Comenity give different nonsensical answers then transfer me to someone else to begin the cycle again. On XX/XX/23 after over 10-minute discussion with XXXX, he transfered me to the " dispute dept. '' where XXXX said he would close the account ( per my request ) but the late fees and interest charges would remain. On XX/XX/23 at about XXXXXXXX XXXX., I answered a call from " XXXX '' who demanded payment on a balance in excess of {$88.00}. She was told I would not be paying that outrageous disputed balance. Over the past two weeks I have received 5 or more calls DAILY from Comenity. I have sent a letter and email requesting they stop by they persist. The original balance was incorrect and getting a correction was impossible. They even continued with late fees and interest charges AFTER I told them to close the account. Now they have even placed negative reports on my credit rating.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I opened a charge store account with Comenity for specifically XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have been XXXX credit my entire life, I was provided a {$65000.00} limit. I used the entire balance many times and paid it to XXXX. Mysteriously in XXXX when XXXX and Comenity ended their partnership, they broke their agreement to provide 0 % interest for purchase for a period of 12 months, they overbilled me and I refuse to pay them money I do not owe. I will never pay them. I am XXXX and pay all my balances in full each month. They also closed my account on XX/XX/XXXX and then couldnt report me for some reason, until XX/XX/XXXX they reopened the account to close it again and drop my credit score XXXX points. I will never pay them and they should be reviewed for ethics and their terms of service should be reviewed by the state. Do not do business with Comenity, after several email and paper mailed letters to resolve it with the bank they ignore all and say because I didnt notice the error within 60 days its not their problem. However I was on autopay set to pay my full balance in 10 months not 12 to make sure I wouldnt insure late fees and finance fees. Good luck Comenity. I will subsequently be closing all of my other Commenity accounts.
