Consumer Complaint: I am filing this complaint against Bank of America for inaccurately reporting a late payment on my credit report. I have never been late on any payment for this account, and I believe this inaccurate information is in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), specifically 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ). This section states that a person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. I have already disputed this inaccurate late payment with the credit bureaus, but the issue remains unresolved. As a result, I am seeking assistance from the CFPB to address this matter and ensure that Bank of America corrects the error and updates the information with the credit bureaus. Consumer Complaint: Hello, On XX/XX/XXXX, at approximately XXXX XXXX - XXXXXXXX XXXX I contacted bank of america and spoke to a woman in Texas. I told her very clearly to transfer {$14000.00} from credit card ending in XXXX to the card ending in XXXX. Despite my repeated attempts at communicating this, she still somehow managed to mess up and transferred it the other way around. Because of this, I had to clarify how she transferred incorrectly and the call took more than 30 minutes longer and likely had multiple inquiries within my account because of the representative 's mistake. I would like these inquiries removed from my account as I should not be penalized for them, despite my many attempts at clarifying the transfer, the representative still managed to mess up. Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I placed 1 charge for {$67.00} on the card. I had not used the card in over 2 years but previously had Autopay setup. According to bofa customer service over the phone, Autopay was disabled automatically because it had not been used and no notice was ever sent to me. Since I did not know that, I assumed autopay would pay the balance at the end of the month and did not monitor it. The FIRST notice I ever recieved that there was an issue was in XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX. I immediately called bofa to see what was going on and shortly after paid the entire balance AND interest charges. Now bofa is reporting negative info to my credit reports stating that the account was past due in XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. While that is technically accurate, it does not acknowledge bofa responsibility for causing that by disabling autopay and not contacting me about a late payment for over 3 months. The have my address, my email and my phone number. But rather than let me know, they prefer to just ruin my credit over {$70.00} that was their fault for not being paid in the first place.

Consumer Complaint: My fianc transferred money via XXXX on XX/XX/07 as he does every Friday for the last 4 years to pay bills sometimes for the same amount of larger. The money is always transfer within minutes. He received an email that the money was received and I also received a text message as I always do. However, when I check the money was not on my account. I contacted Bank of America and they said that theres a delayed for some reason and it could take up to 5 business days. They couldnt tell me the reason. I contacted XXXX and they said that the only reason why a transaction would be pending is if a the beneficiary was not subscribed or is a new users. As mentioned we have been using this service for years. I called BoA and they said that there was nothing that they can do and I just needed to wait and use my savings in the meantime. Please help! Consumer Complaint: submitted a complaint with Bank Of America. They had charged me a late fee of {$49.00} twice, once in XXXX and once in XXXX. The reason for the fee is when I paid my bill due by the due date- which was {$200.00} and I paid {$200.00} in XXXX and {$250.00} in XXXX when i paid {$250.00}. When making the payment there was not a warning that I was XXXX cents or XXXX cents short. I made the payment by the due date. So the charge was once day later as well. Upon submitting my compliant, a XXXX XXXX took weeks to respond, called me once and didn't return my call. And sent a letter stating he would not be refunding me the money. Bank of America should not be able to charge {$49.00} when the bill was paid on the due date. They shouldn't have a late fee for anything less than a dollar. I hop the cfpb will take action to audit this business practice.

Consumer Complaint: I applied to a checking and savings account from Bank of America. Recently, I was informed that I had reached a limit to account-to-account transfers. I also was informed of fees associated for such limits. However, I was NOT informed of any limits or fees when I applied to Bank of America. I was not told of relevant information to make an informed decision based on my financial security. I applied to Bank of America with initial trust that they would take care of my money and be honest and upfront with their procedures and policies. I was deceived by them withholding information and not being upfront about their fees until after the fact.
