Consumer Complaint: I own a small business and cash slow is crucial for me. I have deposited two checks in the last two weeks and both of them have been retained affecting my business, vendors and employees directly. One of the checks for {$10.00} deposited on XX/XX/XXXX will be available until XX/XX/XXXX. Initially the 30 % was supposed to be available two days after, but after they changed the times with no reason. The second check for {$1.00} which is a very small amount was deposited on XX/XX/XXXX and also will be available until the XXXX. I called Bank of America multiple times I even went to the office and they will not solve the problem or provide a valid reason for the retentions. I am 2 weeks past due my XXXX bill because I have not been able to use my money.

Its about XXXX. I tried to call them to solve the problem but all staff say they are not able to do it and transferred me back and forth many times. The most ridiculous thing is their CD department backlisted the number I called. I tried with another number it worked. Crazy if you dont provide service please give back our money rather than hold it for weeks.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, I submitted a claim to Bank of America for 4 fraudulent transactions in the amounts of {$440.00}, {$440.00}, {$440.00}, and {$83.00} totaling {$1400.00}. I received a Temporary Credit Adjustment on XX/XX/XXXX for {$440.00} and {$83.00} ( totaling {$530.00} ). I received a letter stating that my claim was accepted and closed and the amount was paid in full. I never received the additional {$890.00}. I have since called 3 times to have this resolved. Each time I have been told that my claim is being escalated and I will receive my funds or a call or email within 24-48 hours. I have never received a phone call, email or any correspondence back regarding this claim from Bank of America, other than the first letter stating my claim was accepted, paid, and claim was closed. Today when calling again, I was told I now have to call back tomorrow to a different department and speak to someone there. It is now almost 5 months after I have originally submitted the claim and Bank of America still has not released the funds to me, when the claim has been accepted and is a valid claim. I have been negatively financially impacted by this.

Consumer Complaint: My husband and I have had a joint account at Bank of America for several years. He died on XX/XX/2023. According to my attorney, I was told not to touch our accounts until 2 months after his death. On XX/XX/2023 Bank of America removed my husband 's name from our account and cancelled my access to any online banking. That meant that the bank removed all accounts from bill pay and canceled any payments I had scheduled. I have had to pay a late fee on one of these accounts. They also closed my XXXX account. This was done without any communication sent except an email on XX/XX/2023. I immediately called them and set up an online account. It was when I went to pay a pay that I discovered all my bill pay, auto pay and XXXX acounts were removed. I called BOA again to complain. I was told that as my husband had set up the accounts and even though it is a joint account, they had every right to close them. I asked exactly how I was to set up these accounts when I had absolutely no record of them and was told that I had a case estate case manager, XXXX XXXX. Why XXXX XXXX who was my case manger never contacted me, I will never know. After speaking with a representative, I was told that BOA did have those accounts, but that I would have to wait 48 hours before they would be restored. They were eventually restored, but I have no record of any last payments on these accounts and have had to search through bank statements to make sure bills were paid. I also had to set up a new XXXX account even though I already had one. Today, XX/XX/2023 I discovered that my bills are being paid through my savings account rather than my checking account. When I tried to change this, I was not able to. So once again I am going to have to call Bank of America. I will close my accounts with Bank of America as soon as possible. This was an absolutely unnecessary fiasco that could have easily been handled by a call from my supposed estate manager.

By freezing my account bofa denied access to my social security and federal annuity pension. The SS member is being looked at by the XXXX of SS and the federal annuity by the XXXX for Special Investigations OPM. Bofa wanton disregard for federal statue and case law has cost me XXXX in legal fees and XXXX in late fees for missing my rent. Bofa has refused to reimburse me for this illegal act and violation of A CFPB/BofA Consent Order

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX my college told me to make a payment that was more than {$100.00} towards my balance in order not to get kick out of my dorm and my classes. I used my entire {$990.00} tax refund towards my balance like they asked. Two days later my RA tells me I need to pack and leave cause they wanted {$3000.00} instead of {$1000.00} and I didnt have that amount at all. I had no money to get back home to MD so I had to stay at a local shelter and missed all my midterms and finals. On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Bank of America and told them about my serious situation and was told my claim would take XXXX days. And I couldnt get a temporary credit at all. Im currently still at a shelter in NC. The last update I got was that the college lied to the bank and told them the {$990.00} payment I made on the college website doesnt exist at all even though I have several receipts with the invoice number, the college website it was made on and the transaction history with my name on it. the bank told me I would get the money back this month but now there giving the college until May to respond again. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. the bank lied to me and told me 45 days which has passed and now there giving them until the end of MAY. NO COLLEGE STUDENT SHOULD HAVE TO END UP HOMELESS LIKE THIS AT ALL.

I have already informed " XXXX XXXX XXXX Fraud department, which in addition has discovered other inaccurate information that has been corrected. As well as posted a Fraud alert. It was recommended to file a complaint with the CFPB by " XXXX ''. I have not been able to contact a live person/ Fraud department representing " Bank of America XXXX at the time of this writing to ask/inform them of the situation.
