Consumer Complaint: I would like to make a complaint about Bank of America EDD card locking me out for a full year for no reason. I have documentation of everything I tried to do and was told to do that didn't help. How many hours and days turned into months on the phone trying to get help. I developed XXXX over it. I have never in my life made a complaint or received benefits. The dishonesty on such a large scale has me viewing my world in a way that I can no longer trust anybody. I have since lost everything I worked so hard for. I had to sell everything to keep a roof over my husband who was hospitalized and received a XXXX XXXX at the same time the bank and the employees would help me get to anybody to fix the issue with my debit card. I questioned my own mind thinking I didn't know my own phone number is how bad it got. Now that we my husband and I are in a better place... Not our home we worked so hard for but alive I want to be completely covered with all the damaged by holding back what I was untitled to. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: A year now It been a huge concern about who ever hacking into our bank accounts I was told there was an investigation but money started coming out little at a time I called I did get refund but I do believe it's happening from the Inside I talk yo agents who work from home who have not updated my account after saying yhe did our card zip code didn't match our cards fradulant withdrawal from companies. And I question the manager that one of their worker demanded pretty much my signature and whe. She hot it she didn't file it she laid it on the side I call because it was odd. And when I close the security deposit box the lady said why she qanted your signature. Because I was going in a room with another agent. And me and my husband never use checks we only us the ATM. WHAT concer n s me is we are in yhe middle of a lawsuit and we have notice some one trying to access our accounts changing bank address yo get our info sending it back to old address. I'm really concern yhe XXXX who XXXX the XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX I didn't trust her she only needed my id and card to set up appointments to access my box. Too much in this year has been happening with our accounts and no one has answers then they try blame us. We know whT we spend and have a routine. They have caught a lot of things but im concern about our new accounts think there is fraud on the inside of the bank in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ca XXXX. We been with them for years but these Agents working from home it's been a very serious concern

Consumer Complaint: My joint in trust accounts XXXX and XXXX with my wife XXXX XXXX XXXX were closed by Bank of America and the funds were transferred to the state of New Jersey. In XXXX, 2023 I received a letter from Bank of America stating there was inactivity. They offered three options to let them know I existed. One was to call an XXXX number which I did. After speaking with a representative and answering a number of questions, I was assured my accounts would remain open and the monies would Not be transferred to the state. When I received my latest statements it showed zero in each account. I went to the local bank and the manager made a call and was told nothing can be done and I would have to go to the state of Florida to get our money back. Then was told its at the state of New Jersey since the accounts were open there ( these accounts have been there over 50 years and one holds my XXXX veterans monthly money ). Then was told again its in Florida and lastly and finally its in New Jersey. Thus far, it doesnt show up on the website. XXXX emailed B of A consumer care and again was told I must pursue my monies even though it was their mistake. They let me know that they should have sent us a form to fill out since these are trust accounts and that was never mentioned on the initial call to keep the accounts active. And then to tell me that they will now train their representatives to do so. Obviously this doesnt help us. Because of Bank of Americas mistake handling our money, we are left without it and the responsibility to get it back. Please help us and save someone else from their lack of care and responsibility with customers money. Thank you in advance for your help in this very upsetting matter.

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America denied my request for provisional credit.stating the card will simply be reissued seen on my Cfpb account On XXXX of XXXX, and in my requested my claim packet before this claim was to be reopened based on the class action lawsuit against Bank of America. This judgment clarified provisional credit must be granted and disputes must be reopened for claims made against this prepaid government benefits card. It has been over 90 days, and this dispute still has not been resolved. I have not received any edd payment or provisional credit. On XXXX I called the customer service line at XXXX XXXX processing, and spoke to a customer service representative, who advised me my claim had been escalated to an escalation team and that provisional credit was not required to be granted as I dont think actually happened as Bank of America made a decision within XXXX days of me filing a dispute.and stated I only have {$7.00} on a card I never spent unemployment on and been waiting the last 3 years, There is nothing in the Code of Fedderal regulations that states provisional credit will not be granted if a decision and determination regarding the claim is made within 10 days. Bank of America has exceeded the 90 day time frame as specified in the XXXX, denied my request for provisional credit, and did not complete their investigation in a timely manner. I am requesting provisional credit to be credited to my account immediately, and I want Bank of America to provide me a written explanation of their investigation findings, which was conducted in XXXX of XXXX There is no way that a thorough investigation could be completed XXXX days, given the number of claimants during this time who had disputes against Bank of America for unauthorized purchases and transactions taken out from their EDD benefits. They tried to tell me I have to confirm my identity after I just got the new card because the original card was hacked or stolen, I wrote the company my phone died talking to escalations they made it very hard to place the claim which I have stated in 3 closed complaints before this one the card finally came in the mail aboutt 80 days ago and I activated it when the other dispute packets came in which I will tag to this dispute, didnt want to activate it online due to not getting it last time and last time somehow it was activated and used its been mail theft and internet theft in my area and Im pretty sure this is what happened, I have the new card and still cant get help, this is due to the bank not wanting to work with me about true matter and stated I never put a claim in but again I was hacked and could verify myself until XXXX in the bank eyes, asked me to verify myself due to not having a card this is pretty crazy I got the card now still attached in the envelope. I will not accept 90 more days as I will like to seek max penalties towards Bank of America for trying to send the investigation packets as if The thiefs never happened asked me to call back in the first few times time ( NOW THEY RE SAYING I GOT MY CARD AND I NEVER DID I HAD TO COMPLAIN HERE TO WVEN GET A CARD AND I NEVER USED IT EVER ) ), they bank has set me a claim resolved paper however they didnt give me closure on anything didnt give me proof that they he card was not data breached and stolen out the mail. I cant go online and get in I didnt set anything up and when I call I get told they dont know why Im explaining and the mail from this dispute states three research goes against mine the lack of respect towards me is crazy, I have been uploading facts with the bank breaking every law to me there is, didnt use the full 90 days and I declare the bank show me the steps they took to help me and to investigate this matter! when I call the number that is given on the complaint the extension they give with no response sadly due to my privacy. ( breaking my right ) Bank of America tells me its not a number they transfer to and is unsafe, Total run around, the claim had to be restarted due to the bank not verifying me and is in denial of the law wanting another 90 days, please in force a fast reply would like to apply max penalties if no response within 10-15 days in the portal due to what the law is. I lot had to be every bit of only 2 weeks seeing I placed in 6 claims and they stated I didnt have a claim in properly due to the bank not allowing it due to them unable to verify me however they are being idiots about this being fraud not understanding the questions in place we took from another person and true card has been used or either duplicated to be used and are telling me I got it in the mail. I WANT TO SEEK MAX PENALTIES DUE TO THE LIES TO ME AND THE FAKE INVESTIGATION AS SEEN IN THE BELOW IMAGES I HAVE GOT THE MAIL STATING THEY COSED THE CASE PLEASE FORCE THE CORRECT ACTIONS ON BANK OF AMERICA TO PROTECT MY RIGHTS.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, a new Bank of America CastRewards credit card was opened in my name. I first received a text message that the card was in the mail. It arrived at my home address on XX/XX/XXXX. Before receiving the card, I contacted the three major credit bureaus to place a fraud alert on my credit reports, having noticed a new hard inquiry via XXXX. I also received messages, via text and conventional mail, that attempts were made to open several other cards in my name, including via XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I applied for none of these new accounts, and only the one Bank of America account appears to have been opened. The others were denied due to the suspected fraud. On XX/XX/XXXX, after receiving the new physical BofA card in the mail, I cancelled the account via telephone with BofA. They notified me a hold already had been placed on the account, with the card never activated, as a result of my contacting BofA the week before. I am a long-term BofA customer, and I am satisfied with how they so far have assisted me with this apparent case of identity theft. On XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed the new account, with XXXX balance, appearing on my credit reports with all three bureaus. I submitted a dispute regarding the new account to all three bureaus. I am submitting this claim of apparent identity theft to the CFPB at their suggestion. I have taken no other action but continue to carefully monitor my credit reports on a daily basis. Fortunately, it appears that no fraudulent charges have been posted in my name, at least not so far. I have no idea where/when/how my personal information was stolen, or by whom.

I work for a rental company, one of the tenant send me that money to pay his rent and I send that money to me boss which is the landlord. I dont have that money and it was never mine money.

Consumer Complaint: In my XX/XX/2023 credit card statement from Bank of America ( BofA ) for my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I noticed there was a balance transfer for {$5900.00} from an XXXX XXXX with the last XXXX digits of XXXX. There was also a {$170.00} transaction fee for the transfer from BofA. I also noticed another balance transfer of {$1900.00} from a XXXX XXXX card with the last XXXX digits of XXXX to my same BofA XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2023, plus a {$57.00} transaction fee. I immediately contacted the Fraud Department of BofA ( XXXX ) and notified them of these fraudulent charges. The person I spoke with told me that BofA would immediately close this card and re-issue a new card, along with reimbursing my account in the amount of {$8000.00}, which was done. On XX/XX/2023, I received a letter from BofA stating, " Unfortunately, we're unable to approve your recent claim. '' This was due to their research, and the amount of the transactions was being added back to my credit card balance. '' I immediately called the Fraud Department again to have them review this case again, as their explanation of why this dispute was denied made no sense. I spoke with XXXX then, who told me I needed to write a letter to the BOA Claims Resolution Department in XXXX, TX disputing this claim and decision from BofA. My letter would escalate this claim for further review, and I would receive a call or email regarding the resolution. I immediately sent the letter as requested to BofA. No such call or email was received. I contacted the BofA Fraud Department again on XX/XX/XXXX. I spoke with XXXX requesting an update as to the claim review. I was told that the claim was re-opened for review, but no decision has been made. XXXX said that she would expedite the claim, and I should receive a call from BofA within 3-7 business days, depending on their workload. To date, I have not received a call or any other correspondence from Bank of America. On XX/XX/2023, I once again called BofA 's Fraud Department and spoke with XXXX. XXXX apologized for the inconvenience this has caused and would escalate this to a Manager within the departmentstill no correspondence from BofA on the issue. The only thing I have received is interest charges averaging over {$250.00} per month. These XXXX transactions are also maxing out my credit limit at 100 % on this card. This is beginning to affect my credit scores due to the credit utilization on this card. I have reviewed my credit reports, and they do not show me owning an XXXX Credit Card or a XXXX XXXX XXXX account ending in XXXX.
