Consumer Complaint: Bank of America allow someone or more likely the entity itself opened an account under my name and then proceeded to charge fees to an account that never had any transactions. I called and started a fraud claim where I have to give social security number, id, proof of residency, social security statement and many other items to have the account closed while in the mean time they allow the account to keep being hit with fees. they also did not require the extensive amount of information to open the account but do to now have it closed. It also goes against their internal policy which states accounts that are opened with no transaction in the first 30 days are automatically closed. When I spoke to them they continue to use their internal policies to defend not closing the account, however are not following their own policy by just closing the account from no activity for more than 30 days. I would suspect that i am not the only one who has had accounts opened under their name

Consumer Complaint: Back in XX/XX/XXXX I recieved a 1099 in the mail it stateted that my XXXX claim was XXXX dollars I did apply for Unemployment but I never received anything after applying I tried calling the Unemployment office but I could never get through.Long story short someone stole my information and received my debit card through Bank of America and used all my funds.There was one account with many extra cards ordered so when I called BOA they set me up with 2 claims one for XXXX & a second one for XXXX dollars.I have made 2 police reports I reported my identity theft to the FBI, FCC MY Attorney General EVEN the Unemployment office has recognized this theft as fraud.BOA DID APPROVE THE XXXX But they keep saying I gave someone permission to use my funds.They are punishing me for there mistakes on XXXX XXXX tjey denied my claim again I am at a lost I have been speaking with a Attorney and I also will be calling my local news for vindacation on this matter .It is there fault they gave my money to som6else and they can not even give me a explanation they sent the documents they used to deny my claim and all it is is the account statement from XX/XX/XXXX till XX/XX/XXXX it makes no sense they are the same ki d of transactions from the XXXX dollar claim.BoA has a zero fraud liability that is there policy and instead of doing there job and finding out who the thief is that stole my identity/Unemployment I think it is easier for them to just deny the claim instead of doing there job.I have documentation and proof of filling the police reports EDD recongnizing this as fraud I do not understand why BOA is doing this to me.I am at a standstill and I want what is mine I want my money they are punishing me for making mistakes.I will not stop until I get what is mine Banks should not be able to steal our money.

( See attached letter to Bank of America dated XX/XX/2023 ) The amount in dispute was of {$16.00} for services that were charged and paid in advance to merchant but were not provided by merchant because services were no longer sought or needed. I received XXXX subsequent response letters from Bank of America dated, XX/XX/2023 and XX/XX/2023 in which Bank of America requests more information about the charge and a signed document stating that the amount originally in dispute was still being disputed. Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a complaint against Bank of America, which that has failed to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FRCA ). Despite several disputes of this alleged debt, BOA continues to inaccurately report on my credit report and has not produced real evidence that the account belongs to me. I have been disputing this account with BOA for several years now, and they have failed to provide any concrete evidence that the debt belongs to me. Despite my repeated requests for proof of the debt, BOA has continued to report the account on my credit report, which has negatively impacted my credit score. This is a clear violation of the FRCA, and I am deeply concerned about the impact this is having on my financial well-being. We are not at the point that this alleged debt has aged out and should no longer appear on my credit report regardless. I urge you to investigate this matter and take appropriate action against BOA for its failure to comply with the FRCA. Negotiation included cost of the car, shipping & handling in XXXX with local # plate included. This negotiation was on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX {$9400.00} ). Then on XX/XX/XXXX he asked me more mone for the container XXXX {$4900.00} ) in which the car will be shipped and then on XX/XX/XXXX asked me more money for the shipping insurance ( XXXX {$5500.00} ), all of this XXXX last transaction was supposed to be returned at delivery. Then on XX/XX/XXXX ask me more money ( XXXX {$2600.00} ) for the clearance an all procedures related to XXXX XXXX and taxes, which was supposed to be included in the initial price of the car. All the payments was done via Wire transfer to a Bank XXXX New York XXXX Bank of America N.A. XXXX # XXXX ) on the name of a XXXX XXXX. XXXX with address XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX GA, XXXX gave a webpage tracking shipping ( XXXX XXXX XXXX Tracking i XXXX XXXX page that I was checking constantly and showed me the process of shipping, until XX/XX/XXXX page is not working any more ( " This site cant be reachedCheck if there is a typo in XXXX. Also this XXXX XXXX is not replying to my messages, last thing that he said to me was that he was XXXX XXXX XXXX fixing a money problems related to cars also. On XXXX on the pic of the car that I bought I comment that I bought the car and that it was not delivered yet, and they deleted the comment and blocked me. Consumer Complaint: Financial Institution : Bank of America TravelCard Balance Transfer 1 ( XX/XX/XXXX ) On XX/XX/XXXX, I wanted to take advantage of BoA 's promotional balance transfer of 0 % interest payment until XX/XX/XXXX. I transferred over from 3 credit cards with the total amount of {$9100.00} to this balance transfer promotion. I set up my BoA to autopay from my checking account to pay $ XXXX. I made 3 payments in XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. But on XX/XX/XXXX, BoA automatically paid off the remaining balance of {$7200.00} directly from my checking account. I also had the auto-pay make the {$640.00} payment in XXXX. When my checking account was low, I received a noticed from BoA that my checking was below the minimum balance. I contacted BoA and told them I didn't authorize this payment how come my balance transfer is paid off? They explained to me that I had a setting for auto-pay to pay off remaining balance if my checking account had enough funds. I asked well how am I going to pay off my mortgage or other bills if you took the funds from my checking account? I asked if I can have this reversed, credit the amount back to my checking account. They said yes, it will take a few days. I asked if I get this credited back, will I still have the promotional 0 % interest rate until XX/XX/XXXX? They said NO. Because I can't utilize the promotion, and my balance has been paid off, I asked not to transfer my credit back to my checking. As a result I had to tap in to my savings account to pay my other bills. Balance Transfer 2 ( XX/XX/XXXX ) On XX/XX/XXXX I decided to advantage of another BoA TravelCard balance transfer promotion for 0 % interest until XX/XX/XXXX. I transferred a total of {$8000.00}. And this time I will set up the autopay to pay $ XXXX from my checking account. I also cleared the settings to auto-payoff the entire balance from my checking account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made the first payment {$700.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX BoA applied a Payment Adjustment by taking the balance that I paid off from my 1st Balance Transfer ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and crediting it to my checking account in the amount of {$6500.00}. With that I TravelCard account has a total debt of {$14000.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called BoA and asked why do I have an additional debt of {$6500.00} added to my XXXX account totaling {$14000.00} in total debt? The representative said you requested to be credited. I told her, No I did not request it. I may have requested it initially, but I changed my mind because the debt is paid off ( Balance Transfer 1 ). I told them if I paid off the debt why would I want to re-borrow the debt? I did not request this. As the support person troubleshooted the issue, she said the newly added debt of {$6500.00} does not have the promotional balance offer and it will have a higher interest rate. And if you try to pay off {$6500.00}, it will go towards paying off your 2nd balance transfer. The lady generated a case # XXXX, and said maybe your newly added debt of {$6500.00} can also get the 0 % balance transfer, but her manager would have to reach out to me. I provided my number and never received a call.
