Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I withdrew {$4000.00}, from my credit union XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX, in the form of a cashier 's check. I then drove a few blocks to Bank of America Branch located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, TX, and deposited the cashier 's check. that was made out to my name. I asked the bank employee how soon the funds would be available and was told since its a cashiers check it should be immediately, but, no more than a day. Three hours later I received notification that BOA would hold my funds until XX/XX/2023. There is no reason for these funds to be on " hold ''. Had I cashed the cashier 's check and subjected my safety by having a large sum of money on my person I would not have this issue. The bank would not have held funds!!! This is the second experience of this nature. In the first, I was informed the credit union check was larger than the established amount of {$5500.00}. Based on this and the fact that a cashier 's check is the same as cash, I did not expect another issue that prevented me with the use of my money!!! Three hours after my deposit, I received notification that my funds would be held until XX/XX/2023, at XXXX XXXX local time ; Reason : " A hold was placed on your check ( s ) because check specific information indicates item may be returned. '' WHAT!?! This is totally unnecessary, and I believe BOA is being a bully. It does not take 13 calendar days/11 business days to verify a cashier 's check. This is ridiculous! The verbage on the website states, when asked : " How long does it take for a cashier 's check to clear in Bank of America? Funds deposited before XXXX XXXX ET on a business day will generally be available the next business day. Funds deposited before XXXXXXXX XXXX PT on a business day will generally be availasble the next business dayl. You will be notified if a hold is placed on any deposited funds ''. There is a systemic problem with BOA 's protocol. This cashier 's check is from a FEDERAL CREDIT UNION! BOA is holding my money and making compounded interest on it. I filed a complaint with BOA and the associate stated she would file a " grievance '' and I should hear something within a few days but she was sure my funds would be released. Comparison : My sister made a similiar withdrawal from the same credit union in the form of a cashier 's check then deposited it in her account at XXXX and her funds were immediately available without a HOLD!

Consumer Complaint: I just received a letter from Bank of America stating that they are putting a hold on my account because the FTB is placing a levy on my account. I did not authorize this and Never gave Bank of America my consent to share my personal information. I am not the tax payer, XXXX XXXX is the tax payer, which is the Social Security Trust that the Government set up for me. I am XXXX : XXXX, Agent/ Beneficiary for the said account XXXX XXXX XXXX THIS IS NOT THE SAME PERSON. I need bank of America to stop all collection and know that they violated my privacy and committed fraud and I am seeking damages and they are causing me injury. I need the Franchise tax board to provide proof that I XXXX XXXX, or XXXX, XXXX is the one that owes this debt. The XXXX XXXX XXXX and Bank of America are in violation of my natural rights and they are in violation of committing crimes which are punishable. They both need to validate the debt, provide notice that the Bank of America has my wet signature and consent to allow the FTB to place a hold on my account. I need bank of America to provide proof of the claim that I owe that amount and that I gave authorization and consent to this action. I also am demanding that Bank of America provide proof of the following : Keep in mind that a NOTICE is Not an actual Levy. 1. A copy of actual Lien. Per the Federal Lien Registartion Act requires a Certification of Lien. Please provide Oath that there is an actual Lien. 2. I need a copy of the actual assessment on Form XXXX. 3. I demand a copy of the IRS Drivers License that of IRS agent that the bank representatives obtained, so I can go after the IRS agent for committing Coercion and Fraud on my Legal fiction and then coming after me. 4. I need a copy of the XXXX XXXX that the bank requested in order to complete this transaction. 5. I need proof of the request of Abstract of Court Judgement. ( the 7th amendment of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution for the United States of America guarantees me " the right of Trial by Jury '' in any amount exceeding {$20.00} ). Also, there is no statute of limitations on Fraud. I believe my Due Process of Law Rights are also in violation. 6. I need a original visible copy of the Sworn Affidavit Assessment for this Lien. 7. I need the IRS and XXXX and Bank of America to provide an Original Copy the Form XXXX and XXXX that completes the service of, " Notice of Levy '' 8. send me a copy of all this authorized by me as I signed to authorize this levy, which I have had a chance of due process and that I authorized this complete " Alleged Levy. '' in which, I am the actual tax payer. Please know that Federal Law says that a levy is ( must be ) served with a writ of attachment. I need copies of all the Legal action taken to confirm that the IRS is not a collection agency and i need this within 5 days of this complaint. I demand this get corrected immediately and the correct information is provided as proof. Also provide proof that the Internal Revenue Service is a part of the United States Government. I do know that Bank of America could be a participant of Organized crime against me, the living person and not the tax payer. Bank of America has participated in XXXX XXXX XXXX, Seizure of Bank Account without Due Process of Law, seizure of Property, as well and the FTB ( CALIFORNIA ) and IRS and Bank of America are all in violation of my 4th amendment. I will be placing a complaint with FTC, Department of Justice, and OIG, and the State of California. I am beyond frustrated and I am being harmed and these institutions need to be exposed. I need my funds in my account as I understand that the obligation of the United States is to be responsible for all the American peoples debt. Why am I getting threatening letters, Why is my banking institution allowing this to happen when they do not even follow the law. I need proof that this levy and notice is enforceable upon me and I Owe any amount " Alleged ''. They need to provide proof that they are able to do this to me without any judicial process prior to having my bank participate in the Fraud. I do not owe anything and I need this to be reversed and they need to process and follow procedure rather than STEAL my money and Allow them to without my Consent. I will attach the letters I received and please make sure these corporations get what they deserve, The fraud and Theft of my Living person needs to stop. I will send in a XXXX form to the IRS. I will seek damages as B of A is Violation of my privacy, they are extorting me, and they are ruining my reputation and I am not okay. I demand this gets corrected and handled in an honorable manner as I have. The representative couldn't tell me the exact date and time the check was deposited again. still have the original check in my possession nor has my employer received any notification of the duplicate check cased or received This is causing stress and XXXX because of a bank error, and someone maybe using my information. No one has responded to me yet to this error.

Consumer Complaint: I previously complained about Bank of America charging a late fee on my business credit card account and got a response from them. What is saw in the response is simply restating the T & Cs of each of the accounts which legitimize the fees but does not address the root cause of how Bank of America makes it very hard to set up auto payments to credit cards to payoff statement balances. The response itself shows that to set up auto payments to payoff statement balances I need to use a completely different process called e-bills which is different from normal bill payment. On top of late fees and checking account fees, I recently got hit by another cash advance fee of {$100.00}. Because of the confusion between bill payment and e-bills that bank of america has I paid the bill twice and my account was overpaid for more than a month and bank of america never bothered to return my money. I used the transfer feature to move my own money ( the overpaid amount ) to my checking account and I was charged a {$100.00} of cash advance fees ( which was not disclosed when I was doing the transfer ). Note that the balance on the credit card account after the transfer was XXXX proving that I did not take any money from bank of america when I did this transfer and it infact was my own money I transferred back. I need to atleast get this money returned to me. I have called the customer service and visited the branch but was not successful in reversing the charges.

Consumer Complaint: I used to have a Bank of America XXXX XXXX account that was close on XX/XX/XXXX after that my merchant account was limited to access. When this happens Bank of America merchant services told me that they will keep my last XXXX payments ( {$730.00} usd ) in hold your for safety of any case of client claim and they will be release in 6 months ( middle of XXXX ) I received a chargeback ( client claim ) for {$700.00} usd in XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and they took from my business account even when they have {$730.00} usd already in hold for this cases. I call the Bank of America merchant service to see how I can send the documentation Prove of the transaction to show them that the client was agree with the charge from the begging and the client doesnt has the right to dispute. I ask the for help because since the account was close I didnt have the access to answers and see the client information to answer the dispute. I send them a letter given all the explanation ( I will attach here ). In XX/XX/XXXX I make a call again to ask how will be the process to release the {$730.00} usd that they put on hold from the beginning and the said this will be on XXXX call us back XX/XX/XXXX. I do the call at this date and the make a request of release and said wait us we will be contact you ( never happen ). In XX/XX/XXXX I received a new charge back for a client {$1900.00} usd and I call them the same day to ask for help again because again I didnt have the chance to get in the portal XXXX XXXX to answer the dispute with the documentation that I have. They said that they will make an escalation and with for they answer ( never happen ) they never call me back I lost the case because the time end and they never give me the way to send the documentation or even answer the dispute. They send me a letter saying that they not approve the releases of the founds {$730.00} usd because I dont meet one o more of their qualifications ( I attach this letter ). I XX/XX/XXXX Bank of America make the decision to end all their relationship with me sayin that a Im a risk profile not longer aligns with the banks risk tolerance, so at this point the close everything but they still allowing my clients claims ( illogical ) trampling on all my rights and those of my company, denying me the opportunity to have a way to answer the complaints and send the required documentation making me lose my reputation and my money. When this happens, I call again to find out what will happen to the money that they have on hold since XX/XX/XXXX and they inform me that now the amount that I have on hold is {$1400.00} usd in a reserve account ( {$730.00} on hold from the beginning and {$700.00} from the dispute on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX last time I had access and was able to send the documentation, I won the case and this added to the balance in favor ) I said ok so making counts I own you Bank of America merchant services {$1900.00} + {$300.00} = {$2200.00} usd less {$1400.00} that you have on hold I own you {$760.00} usd to cover the entire amount for clients claims. I dont have a relationship with Bank anymore as you decide so please give me a way to pay you the {$760.00} usd that I own to finish this because as you see we have almost 1 year ( since XX/XX/XXXX ) trying to end with it. After talk with many departments ( all that calls was recorded for quality purpose ) they said we will send you to the collection. I said what?? Its not fair because Ill being given my face during almost one year to pay and solve all the situation I am here at the phone asking for a way to pay the {$760.00} usd that I own you and you will send me to the collection because you the most important bank of the United States doesnt have or know they way for me to pay. It doesnt have sense. The last agent that I talk said go to a branch and pay there, I went there the last XX/XX/XXXX talking to the business account agent and she said I am not available to receive this money because I dont know where I have to put it on. She call to merchant services and they do the same transfer her call to many departments without solution What I am claiming Bank of America merchant services give me the way to pay the {$760.00} usd that I own and not send me to collection because they already They violated all my rights and those of my company, denying me the opportunity to respond to the claims and now they also violate my rights, making it impossible for me to make the payment on a regular basis, sending me to collection, affecting my credit history. I can't accept it, it's not fair, it's a violation of all of my rights. Please I ask help me to solve this situation as soon as possible. Thanks in advance

Consumer Complaint: I have a Bank of America credit card. The balance due on the card, the entire charges on the card, was {$25000.00} which was due by XX/XX/2023. I paid this entire amount on XX/XX/2023. But then in XXXX I got a credit card statement that said I owed {$380.00} in interest charges. I had not charged anything else after paying the card off in XXXX. I called the company and asked them why/how they were charging me interest in XXXX after I paid everything that was owed in XXXX, and they said it was accrued interest. Any accrued interest should have been on my XXXX statement. No other credit card I have had has tried to charge additional interest after the balance has been paid in full prior to the due date on the statement. They would not remove the {$380.00} interest charge.
