Consumer Complaint: I am became a member several years back an attempt to try this new prepaid credit debit card/bank account Bluebird American Express services. I never thought that simple and standard, card services would become a complete nightmare. If anyone is thinking about this services I would steer clear away from these services. I have tried over and over to get this so called company to resolve this issue and nothing was resolved. Then they place hold your account with your added founds for several days and you have no use of your own money. Also ever time you make a purchase they double the amount on that one purchase, so that it purposely lowers your amount that you added with your money. So finally I asked to just close my account, and send me the balance that I added. Needless to say that they shorten me {$300.00} from the balance that I added to this account. This financial institute, didnt even allow me to go into my account or look at my balance nothing. The state attorney needs to investigate this company because I really do think this company is in business into robbing people XXXX and legally.

Consumer Complaint: Thank you for helping with this issue. I was offered an incentive by American Express to change my credit card from the introductory card to the XXXX XXXX XXXX. The incentive was that if I spent {$1000.00} in the first XXXX days of having the card then I would receive {$300.00} in cash back. Apparently, according to Amex, I did not adequately accept the incentive because I clicked on the wrong link, and thus they could not verify that I actually qualified for the offer that they sent. It is likely that they sent me an email saying that I would receive the offer, or that they reflected it on my Amex page, but that I did not click on that precise link to accept the offer. Thus, when I upgraded my card, they refused to give me the incentive I had obviously qualified for.

However, the Amex application said that while the card was approved, it was not ready for use. The Amex application site then said that instead of free bags for the flight, a {$90.00} credit would be provided on my first statement. However, I never received this credit. Amex told me to contact XXXX. XXXX informed me that it is an Amex offer. I informed Amex, but Amex declined to honor the offer and closed the investigation.

During the call, I stated along these lines : " Hello I am sending contacting you today regarding account numbers ending in XXXX, and as I recall, the accurate and original account balance is and should be in the amount of one thousand dollars ( {$1000.00} ). The primary reason for this communication is to possibly further discuss and in good faith agree upon a decided resolution regarding this matter. Perhaps, in the event that-not only the information that is reported is accurately verified and confirmed completely, without any informational discrepancies-the Investigation Department on behalf of AMERICAN EXPRESS is, in all fairness and understanding, and kindness willing to accept my communication and request with regards to the details mentioned earlier ; I am most certainly willing to further discuss and come to a mutual agreement in order to successfully resolve this issue. '' The company rep then proceeded with giving me a email address to a separate department within the company to send a formal inquiry, I then typed up and sent my communication to the email address provided and then received a " Address not found '' message in return.

Consumer Complaint: I have a business card and a personal card with American Express. The Business card has no pre-set spending limit and a " pay-over-time '' limit of over {$35000.00}. AMEX lowered my pay-over-time limit, effective immediately, to {$2500.00} without my knowledge and, because of that, has now assessed a minimum payment due of {$3200.00}. My personal card had a credit limit of {$13000.00} which has now been reduced to {$2000.00} which increased my usage percentage from 9 % to 80 % which has adversely affected my credit. I will also add that my husband, ( a male, of course ) has a personal card and that has, in no way, been affected, even though that usage percentage is even higher.

Consumer Complaint: I redeemed reward points for a {$100.00} gift card for XXXX XXXX. I received confirmation that the gift card shipped but I never received it. I contacted American Express and they told me the problem was that they didnt have my town listed on the address where they sent the gift card. They indicated that they would send a new one. I never received it so again I called American Express. They verified my address and then said they would conduct an investigation. Today I reviewed a letter saying that unfortunately, your point redemption is final, and therefore the gift card is not eligible for return. I am not trying to return a gift card. I am trying to receive what I was promised. Im sure they can confirm that the gift card was never used.

Consumer Complaint: American Express won't refund a charge for {$410.00} made to XXXX for a phone that does not work in the United States because it was stolen. The serial number comes back stolen and as a result XXXX XXXX XXXX will not activate the cell phone and suspended my cellular telephone line. The purchase was made around XX/XX/2021 and disputed XX/XX/2021 dispute ID XXXX XXXX last 5 of card # XXXX XXXX. The dispute started as a conditional credit but the credit keeps getting reversed. I want the credit permanent.
