Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Can't close your account
Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to close this account for more than two weeks. I called Kabbage twice and was on hold for over 30 minutes each time. I sent in an email to close my account then the account was locked and I can't log on. I keep getting an email to call them. I emailed them and one representative gave me another number to call and it was an automated system which was a waste of time. I found another number to call and finally spoke with someone who thought it might be closed, but connected me with XXXX XXXX who said it wasn't closed and to talk to Kabbage. I just want this account closed.

Issue: Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers
Subissue: Didn't receive advertised or promotional terms
Consumer Complaint: I tried for a THIRD time on using the promotional XXXX link on another purchase and I still did not receive the correct promotional reward. Purchase amount was for {$590.00} on XX/XX/21. I had a feeling it would not apply correctly, so I took a VIDEO AS PROOF that the purchase was made correctly, following all the rules and using the correct link. Here is the video : XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX There is obviously a glitch in their system that is preventing the promotion from applying, at least for me. It could be possible that other customers are affected but have not yet noticed to complain. AMEX needs to do some serious digging here, as this could be false advertising.

Consumer Complaint: I have the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and the Hilton Honor XXXX card with AMEX. On the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I made a purchase at a XXXX XXXX using this card and according to AMEX advised this card earn XXXX points for purchases at a XXXX XXXX and XXXX is a XXXX brand but I did not earn the XXXX points like it advertised also did not earn the XXXX statement credit for this purchase. Another purchase later than the XXXX one already showed up XXXX points and the statement credit. I spoke to an AMEX agent and the agent only said I should wait 8-12 weeks for the statement credit but did not answer why a later one already showed up the statement credit and all the agent can do was open an inquiry but because it was labeled as inquiry the AMEX agent said there is no time frame for inquiry case and it could take as long as possible to solve. On the XXXX XXXX XXXX card, I have a purchase I made at a XXXX hotel but it did not earn the XXXX points like AMEX advertised for purchase made at a XXXX XXXX. A case was opened earlier and I was told to wait XXXX weeks for an answer so I came back 7 weeks after and an agent told me that I was misinformed there is no timeframe for this case and it could also take as long as possible.

Issue: Other features, terms, or problems
Subissue: Problem with rewards from credit card
Consumer Complaint: I made a purchase at a Hilton Garden Inn and did not receive the additional bonus points for putting the purchase on my American Express Hilton Honors credit card. The company stated in its response to me that the hotel I made a purchase at was not a Hilton hotel and was thus not eligible for the additional XXXX Hilton points ( for a total of XXXX Hilton points ). However, this absolutely was a Hilton hotel it was the Hilton Garden Inn in the XXXX XXXX, a semi-autonomous region of XXXX. I have attached a copy of the bill upon checkout showing the charge of XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and a copy of the American Express charge details which clearly show the charges description as Hilton Garden Inn XXXX XXXX and which states that the charge [ w ] ill appear on your XX/XX/2021 statement as Hilton Garden Inn XXXX XXXX. Therefore please provide the bonus points for this stay as required by the terms of the credit card agreement. The reference number for this dispute is XXXX.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Charged too much interest
Consumer Complaint: I have consistently been charged interest incorrectly on my Amex card. Each month for the past few months they have incorrectly calculated a balance due to interest ( I have a 0 % promo active ). I get charged interest, I contact the company and point out the mistake, and then they apologize and reverse the charge while promising it won't happen again. After 3 consecutive months, I'm fed up with the back and forth and so am submitting this complaint. The worse part is, I have made multiple payments each month, and they total to above what the alleged balance subject to interest is - and yet that balance stays the same each month, continuing to trigger an interest charge that has always been incorrect
