Consumer Complaint: I am writing to dispute and address concerns regarding the way the American Express Platinum Card ( ending in XXXX ), for which I am an authorized user, is being reported on my credit reports. Additionally, I kindly request that my authorized user status and membership start date be accurately reflected, as these details are vital for maintaining an accurate credit history. As an authorized user on the shared Platinum Card with my wife as the primary cardholder and my daughter also being an authorized user, it's crucial that the credit reporting accurately represents my association with this card. I highly value the unique feature of the Platinum Card- the absence of a traditional pre-set spending limit. This aspect offers unparalleled flexibility, making it essential that the credit reporting accurately reflects this for both primary cardholders and authorized users. I kindly request that the reporting clearly communicates that this card operates without a predetermined credit limit, as it's one of the standout benefits of the Platinum Card. Presently, my utilization appears inaccurate and incorrect. Furthermore, I've noticed that the recorded membership start date for my authorized user status isn't precise in my credit history. An accurate representation of when I became a member is essential for a detailed portrayal of my credit journey. I respectfully request that you verify and rectify this date to show a more accurate depiction of my credit history. While I understand that errors can sometimes occur, I want to emphasize the importance of prompt resolution and adherence to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), specifically Section 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) and ( B ) [ 15 U.S.C. 1681i ]. The FCRA mandates that credit reporting agencies and creditors, such as American Express, handle disputes with precision and impartiality. I kindly request that this dispute be managed fully in line with the FCRA, with any necessary corrections made within the stipulated time frame. I request that my credit report be updated to all credit reporting agencies. Thank you for your time and attention in addressing my concerns. I genuinely value my relationship with American Express and believe that through collaboration, we can successfully rectify these matters. The goal is an accurate and equitable representation of my credit history in connection with the distinctive features of the Platinum Card.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Card opened as result of identity theft or fraud
Consumer Complaint: Once upon a time, in the year 2021, XXXX and XXXX discovered that a sneaky account had been opened in my name. It turns out, my partner at the time, took advantage of my vulnerable state. I was XXXX, sick, and enduring XXXX. Not only did they open a credit card in my name, but they also put utilities in my name without my knowledge. It was a nightmare. But, thankfully, I managed to escape that toxic relationship and start rebuilding my life. As I looked at my credit report, I noticed a recurring problem - missed payments from that fraudulent account. It was frustrating because I had been a stay-at-home mother for years, always responsible with my finances. Now, I have big dreams for the future. I want to provide a stable home and a bright future for my XXXX daughters. But to do that, I need to address this credit issue. I want to buy a home and have reliable transportation. Before that partner came into my life, my credit was impeccable. So, I'm determined to take action. I'm ready to rebuild my credit and create a better life for myself and my daughters.

Consumer Complaint: American Express extralegally closed my checking account and globally reduced my credit limits for no valid reason in violation of my credit agreements with them. When questioned a Customer Service employee cited " something we found in your credit '' No deragatory information was found in any of the four credit bureaus and no deragatory information was found in XXXX XXXX. Additionally, I have never been late in my 19 year history with American Express. I provided income information and it was ignored and I can not reopen a business or personal checking account with American Express. The only remedy is the restoration of my account and reversal of any adverse action namely the XXXX point loss caused by the cut in my credit limits abd the resulting increased ratio of debt to available credit. I am requesting that a letter of apology on American Express letterhead be generated stating that they have reversed the reduction of my credit limits globally thereby restoring my debt ratio to pre damage standards.
