Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I set up a payment plan with my Ally Credit Card for {$17.00} per month for 6 months until I am able to regain employment after losing my job on XX/XX/XXXX. The Customer Service representative confirmed my Bank Account information and we agreed the first installment would be taken out of my account on XX/XX/XXXX and this payment plan would NOT affect my credit report. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an alert from XXXX there was a change in my credit score. When I verified this change, my credit score decreased by XXXX points! Ally stated my account was a month late which was incorrect. With further investigation I found out Ally never processed the first installment of my payment plan on XX/XX/XXXX as promised thus I immediately made that {$17.00} payment on XX/XX/XXXX. I expect this was not done intentional and it was an oversite/error on their part. It should be noted, once Ally bought out XXXX ( the previous Company of this credit card ) in XXXX, I could not gain access to my online account until the 3rd week in XXXX which has caused issues thru out those past months in setting up my online account properly.

However, they claim we got disconnected during the telephone call since they didn't give me all their disclosures. I called them yesterday - XX/XX/XXXX and now they claim there would be a penalty since it is past the 10 day grace period of maturity. On the 11th day i call them and they say they count the days in the grace period and include the date of maturity in their calculation? Please have them send me my money to my bank account from my CD without any penalties!!
