Issue: Communication tactics
Subissue: Frequent or repeated calls
Consumer Complaint: I filed a complaint last week against Ally Financial regarding their collection practice, specifically making numerous calls after being served written notice that I revoked their right to call/text me or others affiliated with me. Ally Financial signed for registered USPS mail on XX/XX/XXXX, indicating they had received the notice of revocation. This morning at XXXX Ally Financial attempted to contact me again via phone calling from phone number XXXX. In the complaint filed last week with CFPB - Ally acknowledged receiving the complaint and were 'working on it '. Apparently they do not care about any complaints and continue to contact me in violation of the FDCPA.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I have made every single one of my payments on time. Ally misapplied one of my payments on my lease and hit my credit with a late. I called them & it showed as corrected on my account. Then it just happened again last week, despite every payment being made on time. It also shows on my account that I owe a double payment, but that payment isn't due until XXXX, which makes no sense at all. They acknowledge it's wrong, but it has devastated my XXXX & XXXX credit score which hasn't been corrected.

Consumer Complaint: I've been disputing fraud accounts on my credit report since XX/XX/2020. I keep sending multiple sets of letters to the bureaus and the creditors so the excuse of " we didn't get it '' doesn't happen. Furthermore, each letter is certified mail with tracking and each letter shows signed and delivered and yet the bureaus are still not taking any actions. The accounts are not showing in dispute nor are they removed from my report. The accounts always show up with different name variations and different account number variations and yet the bureaus seem to ignore the trend and let these fraud accounts affect my credit score. I have requested the investigation to be initiated and also verifiable proof to be submitted should the account claim to be mine. Not only have I not received any mail showing the verifiable proofs needed to justify the accounts to be on my report, I haven't even received any letters at all stating the investigations have begun. Per the FCRA and federal law, the process is supposed to be 30 days. 250 days later, I'm still here shelling out money for certified mail with no end in sight and no results to show. This is my last option before I take this up with my lawyers and sue for full compensations and damages incurred. Finally, it seems that when these complaints are submitted, the bureaus are using the excuse that they " can't confirm my identity '' to get away with taking no actions on my credit report. Please investigate this as well.

Issue: False statements or representation
Subissue: Attempted to collect wrong amount
Consumer Complaint: The amount said owed of {$190.00} as of XX/XX/2021 is wrong. I was never made aware from the auto insurance company that I would owe this money as I canceled the contract of my auto insurance policy within the first 32 days of having it. I was also never made aware of the jump in my 6 month policy increase according to this company. They told me at the time that my monthly insurance quote was going to be roughly {$100.00} a month, and then I was charged that for the first month. Then proceeding that month I was charged 30 days later, over {$250.00} a month. They never made me aware of my dramatic increase in the policy and then when I told them I was going to cancel I suppose they put it into collections. Never was I made aware of the premium being sent to collections. I was only aware that this amount was sent to collections afterwards once collections notified me of the charge. I tried to dispute it at this time but could not because the letter was received by me after the 60 day time to file a grievance about what occurred. This account is falsely on my credit and I would like it removed as soon as possible. The company does not even have my correct data on file which goes to show that they are not on top of what is going on with this debt.

Consumer Complaint: I have an auto loan with Ally Financial. I will be returning the vehicle to them under voluntary repossession. I notified Ally in writing of this and also notified them that I was revoking their right to make contact with me vial phone or text. This revocation was done in writing as directed by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and was sent via USPS registered mail with signature required and a return receipt. Ally signed for the letter on XX/XX/XXXX. Since then I have received eight additional calls from Ally, attempting to collect this debt. I have contacted them and told them of the letter and that they had received it and signed for it and not to call me again, to communicate with me via written letter. They have ignored the revocation.
