Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I applied online to Ally Bank for a checking account. I believe I was discriminated against by Aly Bank because I am an XXXX American XXXX I was denied the opportunity to open a checking account because of erroneous information in the Early Warning reporting system. I know banks have discretion because I was able to open a checking account at XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank on XX/XX/2022. XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank also received a notice from XXXX XXXX regarding my previous banking history. However, XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX based their decision to open the checking account on my previous banking relationship. They offered me a second chance checking account that actually exceeds my needs. Perhaps XXXX XXXX should consider other product offerings including but not limited to second chance checking.

Consumer Complaint: ALLY FINANCIAL XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX all of these companies hit my credit report by hard pull multiple times in a single day and on many different dates creating some ungodly amount ( XXXX ) of inquires on my credit report. All of these unauthorized pulls dropped my score tremendously to a point that puts me in a extremely poor position for a mortgage. I mailed each a detailed letter XX/XX/2022. No reply.

Consumer Complaint: In an effort to close on our home loan today XX/XX/XXXX. We set up a wire transfer on XX/XX/XXXX for XX/XX/XXXX. Being that our Ally account was younger than 90 days we required an exception to transfer for than XXXX. We needed to transfer XXXX. With that information we reached out to Ally twice asking did we need to provide any additional information regarding the wire ( XX/XX/XXXX ). Both time we were advised that if they had any additional question that would delay the transaction they would advise. On the day of our closing the funds did not transfer. In fact our request was reviewed at XXXX pm on XX/XX/XXXX and did not move forward again until XXXX, our closing was at XXXX. We have yet to close on our home.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2022, my landlord issued a bill for utilities. I then subsequently used Ally Bank 's online bill pay to pay for this bill. This check was scheduled to arrive by XX/XX/XXXX. However, this check did not arrive by that date. Noticing that this check did not arrive on time, I called Ally Bank. They and I both agreed on that phone call that the check was lost in the mail. As such, this first check was cancelled and re-issued to my landlord. My landlord received this reissued check on XX/XX/XXXX 2022. On XXXX XXXX, 2022, a month after its original delivery date, the original, now cancelled check, was received and cashed by my landlord. This cancelled check bounced, and my landlord charged me a {$35.00} bounced check. I called Ally Bank on XX/XX/XXXX22 to request they cover this fee charged by my landlord, as it is unreasonable for an online bill pay check to arrive a month after its due date. The first agent hung up on me. The second agent listened to me, and took my details down. Originally, she told me she would create a case, and give me a case number for this whole ordeal. After talking to her manager on how to continue, they gave me a portal to submit proof of this fee to. This agent said that I was all set after submitting this proof. This agent also informed me that I would not be assigned a case number for this situation. I then asked her if there was a way to obtain a case number, to make sure I could track this situation 's progress. After another hold, she told me gave me entirely different steps. Now on the phone for nearly 1.5 hours, she now informed me that Ally would not cover the {$35.00} fee unless I first submitted payment and sent receipt of the payment to Ally. Keep in mind, I had already at that point submitted proof of being billed {$35.00} for a bounced check. Had I not pushed for a case number at the end of the call ( which I still was not provided ), I would have never known that I needed to submit this payment upfront for reimbursement. The agent on the phone reassured multiple times I was all set, and that prepayment was not necessary, until I pushed for a case number at the very end of the call. I understand mistakes are made, but these misleading actions are incredibly unprofessional. This bait and switch process was incredibly frustrating. It is incredibly unreasonable for an online bill pay check to arrive an entire month late past its scheduled delivery date.

Consumer Complaint: I was behind on car payments so my car was repossessed by Ally Financial on XXXX XXXX 2022. I made the payment of the amount that was due of {$2100.00} in full on XX/XX/ 2022 plus made the additional car payment that was due on XX/XX/ 2022 of {$510.00}. As of XX/XX/2022 Ally Financial has yet to send my release paperwork to the auction that currently has my car. After many calls to Ally Financial and the auction that has my car every day since XXXX XXXX 2022 I am still without my car and without answers as to why the release paperwork has not been sent. Every time I speak with someone at Ally Financial they tell me that they have sent the paperwork and are not sure as to why the auction has not received it and that they will send it again and still no results.

Consumer Complaint: Besides my personal bank account being frauded over 6 times in last 2 years. I am now getting reports of someone trying to obtain credit cards in my name. Several companies have sent me letters saying they denied me for credit services. I never applied for them. I refuse to own a credit card and defiantly did not try to apply for any. XX/XX/2022 XXXX XXXX sent letter staying they can not give credit for my request of XXXX XXXX issued by their bank. I never applied for this. XX/XX/2022 ALLY sent a letter stating they can not issue credit for my request of FINANCING FOR SERVICES AND/OR PRODUCTS. I never applied for this. XXXX XXXX XXXX RETAIL CREDIT was unable to approve my application. I never applied for this either. XXXX informed online they sent me to collections. I was frauded on XXXX, my bank investigated and now I'm sent to collections for something i didn't do. My credit scored has dropped XXXX points in last few months, as well.

Consumer Complaint: My account has been paid except during COVID when I got an 1 month extension. They have continued to report my cred late ( ex XXXX payment due on the XXXX paid on the XXXX but they are reporting XXXX late ). I got so tired of requesting my file that includes my monthly payment history along with financial charges they completely refused to send and then removed my pano statement from the on line account then only report XXXX months statements. We have been with this company 2018. I understand we have 10 days after payment due before they apply late charge but the late charge is in excess of {$75.00} and again refused to provide information on it. however they cant report my payment late until I am 30 days late. I have copy of every statement ( before they removed them ), I have copy of my back statements to show my payments and a payment letter from ally that shows my payment matching my bank statements. I can not get anywhere and need your help.

Consumer Complaint: I settled a debt with Ally Financial. I disputed the remarks on my credit report. They added " customer disagrees '' but did not change the remarks. Ally also added the remaining balance of {$4500.00} that should have been settled in our agreement. I then opened another dispute. After weeks they re opened the account which plummeted my credit. I called Ally and they won't talk to me. They wanted to talk to me legal representation. I called the company I used to help settle this account. I have not heard back. This was the settlement schedule that I upheld.
