Consumer Complaint: They took my student loans off my credit and put it back on there. I thought once something is off your credit it's supposed to stay off. I don't get how they can take it off and put it back on. That's not right to me.

Consumer Complaint: As of XX/XX/2023, PHEAA has sent a combined total of 4 pieces of mailed correspondence ( just to Borrower, cosigner is separate ). All 4 of these outline the same delinquency message for different loan sequences. PHEAA knowingly and willingly wastes paper by doing this, and in the process harasses me by sending this many pieces of mail. I have given them forewarning in the past about this. Going forward, if I receive additional pieces of correspondence outside of the allowable " 1 '', they will be sent back to PHEAA, unopened. All additional pieces of mail will have their container photographed and dated and given to the appropriate parties. PHEAA clearly does not understand that while they feel wasting paper is a necessity, I feel it is an unwanted burden even if borrowers do go past due. Their arguments never make sense either. Some past CFPB complaint responses have the responder claiming that if " I would just make the payment on time, I wouldn't receive any correspondence. '' Well that would make sense if I was only complaining about 1 piece of mail within a small period of time. Apparently, the people working there are bad listeners, un-educated, and ignorant to the actual issues brought forward. Making comments or statements that seemingly appear simple are all these individuals can come up with because the entire organization is based on laziness and negligence. Just ask New York and Massachusetts.

Consumer Complaint: AES/PHEAA recently closed a complaint where they made false accusations against me that they blocked my chat capabilities because they claim that I engaged in " Inappropriate behavior ''. AES/PHEAA has fabricated this and lied. The reality is that their employee was engaging in Inappropriate behavior because they blocked me for asking questions. Why would their Agency unblock me and submit a grievance against the employee if they did not feel it was the fault of that Chat Agent? Whoever responded to this last complaint will also be getting a complaint against them as a result of the false statements made against me. I will also be reaching back out to the Inspector General with a copy of these complaints. I'll be requesting that the IG traces the responder and issue corrective action as a result of this response. The previous response was not appropriate.

Consumer Complaint: I was notified through XXXX that there was a credit alert on my account. The alert said that AES was trying to reach me and was unsuccessful. My email and phone number have not changed in well over 10 years and I have lived at the same address for nearly 7 years. I immediately logged in to my AES account and could clearly see that my contact information had not changed. I reached out to AES via their online chat and I was told by the agent that my contact information had " inadvertently been removed '' and that I would need to contact AES by telephone. I explained that I was looking at my contact information on the AES wesbite and that it had not changed and was not removed. The agent told me that there was no contact information on their end, despite me receiving monthly statements by mail regularly. I filed a dispute through XXXX which resulted in " the information you disputed has been verified as accurate ' when in fact the information is not accurate. My contact information never changed and if AES was unable to locate my contact information, it was through no one 's fault but their own. I have attached the chat log in which the agent admits that the problem with the missing contact information was in fact the fault of AES.

Consumer Complaint: I experienced a medical emergency that created various hardships and was unable to submit my IDR plan information. I contacted my lender, AES in XX/XX/XXXX to discuss options and notify them that my re-certification paperwork would be late. They advised there was no longer COVID relief assistance available. I asked about additional options and was told there weren't any available. My loan went into default and was reported as being late for 2 months. I continued to call them to discuss options to no avail. The last email I received regarding COVID relief options from AES was received on XX/XX/XXXX. However ; they stated the relief offer ended in XX/XX/XXXX - I called prior to this date. One of the main items is that AES did not offer me the option to Consolidate my loans. This would have temporarily paused my loans and. Allowing them not to be reported as late and given me time to set-up other options. I have called to work with AES tirelessly from XX/XX/XXXX- XX/XX/XXXX to no avail. I have also submitted two credit report disputes to AES. My issue is that I was not offered COVID relief options nor Consolidation. All options were to be provided and they were not. The desired resolution would be to have all late payments/delinquency reported to the credit agencies removed as all options were not provided to me as the loan borrower. All options should have been recommended so I could consider them and decide what was best. This was a servicing error on the part of AES and the delinquency should be removed from my credit report for all agencies. Thank you for your assistance.
