Consumer Complaint: Emails from this lending service company contain third party tracking pixels. Also known as web beacons, these codes are embedded in invisible pixels in most service emails and are designed to collect private data such as IP address, device and browser details, time, forwarded email addresses etc. Unlike cookies, there is no request for customers ' consent, and prior privacy disclosure is considered inadequate as per all privacy laws I am aware of. After years of reports to the customer service, domain registrant, admin, tech and abuse departments, no one bothered to even respond with reasons and any optout options.

Consumer Complaint: I ask that the CFPB compel AES the servicer to respond to my XX/XX/XXXX feedback from my initial CFPB complaint # XXXX. And today I report two separate events that have occurred since the initial complaint. These events demonstrate the servicers continued pattern & practice of : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX loan modification terms that are in the servicers economic benefitnot the borrowers Modifying loan terms without borrower consent. Servicer disregarding borrower instruction then using their discretion to modify the loan terms. 1. In XXXX of XXXX there was a presidential order pausing student loan repayments. AES the servicer contacted me making me aware of this option. At that time I was working and continued to pay my monthly obligation. Then I became unemployed in XX/XX/XXXX. At that point I contacted AES via phone call informing them that I was now unemployed and would not be paying utilizing the presidential order. They accepted my communication, and my payments were paused. I discovered more than a year afterwards that they place the loan in a Unemployment Forbearance instead?!?!?! 2. This Unemployment forbearance was to end in XX/XX/XXXX. That fall I was required to reapply for the annual XXXX XXXX payment recalculation which was completed timely and correctly. I learn after the XXXX deadline that they did not underwrite my file. This accelerated the payment amount to be {$1700.00} for the XXXX XXXX monthly payment. On a phone call in XX/XX/XXXX, I corrected them ( which had no material differences from my initial submission ) so they could complete the processing of my XXXX application. They did process my paperwork and adjusted my XXXX to a new 2022 monthly payment of {$390.00}. At that moment AES was requiring me to pay the XX/XX/XXXX {$1700.00} payment. I spoke with an AES client services manager to correct the XXXX payment to be the corrected XXXX payment of {$390.00} vs the {$1700.00} amount. That manager responded that he would call back with a resolution. I received no calls or communication until late XX/XX/XXXX when I called in to AES. Then I learned that my XXXX payment was added to the outstanding principal via an Administrative Forbearance which added that XXXX payment to outstanding principle Additional thoughts Why am I not being disclosed nor required to consent to their terms? E-Signature technology is commonplace and should be utilized for all correspondence with the servicer. To this point I contend that their disclosure does not meet legal requirements and should void the loan.

Consumer Complaint: Fed Loan improperly denied my PSLF using wrong or inaccurate applicaiton criteria. I submitted on more than one occassion my employment verification, they did not apply my prior payments in all plans as set forth by the Department of Education. I have followed all of the steps set forth by the Derpartment of Education established in XX/XX/XXXX, under the temporary waiver for PSLF. They do not communicate with me, despite emails and phone calls. I am submitting an appeal that will likely be disregarded. Per the temporary waiver criteria I have calculated I have made at least 101 payments towards the required 120. I demand credit towards the PSLF. I want an immeidate correction to the applicaiton I submitted on XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Submitted updated Employment Verification Forms to FedLoan when the Federal Government announced the temporary waiver for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program in XXXX. I consolidated loans in XXXX and I'm seeking to have payments made between XXXX - XXXX counted for PSLF. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter that stated, in part, " Per your request we have completed our review of your eligible and qualifying payment counts in your pursuit of Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ). We can confirm your payment count is accurate and now consider the matter closed. '' Unfortunately, this is categorically untrue as their own records show payments only counted after XXXX. This false, incorrect information is egregious for a representative of the Federal Government to send out, and FedLoan needs to put a stop to lying in writing to account holders immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I recently submitted an employment certification form to MyFedLoan for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness program after consolidating my student loans. The guidance from DOE and in student aid.gov on the waiver announced in XXXX clearly states that payments made pre-consolidation will count toward PSLF. Today I received a letter stating theyve reviewed my recent employment certification and update payment counts. The letter specifically states they have applied any additional payments that would count under the waiver. However, that statement is a lie as the letter shows I have 1 qualifying payment when I had over 60 payments documented toward the program prior to consolidation. MyFedLoan continues to mislead borrowers on forgiveness.

Consumer Complaint: FedLoan is my current loan servicer and after multiple emails, attempted phone calls ( some of which I was on hold for over an hour after THEY returned my call ), I have yet to be able to find up to date or accurate information/guidance on my TEPSLF progress. I would like more clear and accurate communication and less misrepresentation of actions they have performed on my account. Ive been sent letters that state an inaccurate about payments for TEPSLF that they say dont qualify when my records from studentaid.gov / XXXX show that the payments do qualify under the new guidelines. I have several ineligible payments from my loans being automatically being put in in school forbearance during XXXX school when I was working and able to pay but was advised not to because those payments would not count towards forgiveness. FedLoan is misrepresenting their efforts and neglecting their responsibilities as a loan servicer as their accounts are clearly not accurate but FedLoan claims they are. Ive worked in XXXX for 13 years and have either made 120 qualifying payments towards forgiveness or had been mislead and instructed not to do so because that was what was best for the company, not for the costumer.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: My loan servicer is FedLoan Servicer and I have been working toward PSLF since XXXX. With the waiver from XX/XX/XXXX, payment I submitted prior to XXXX should count, so I have sent them additional proof of employment. I recently consolidated all of my loans so that all would be eligible for forgiveness. I received a letter from FedLoan that erroneously informed me that if I went forward with the consolidation I would lose all the history of payments since XXXX and that I would have to start over and make an additional 120 payments. This is untrue under the temporary waiver. The letter also referenced the waiver so it indicates that they are working under the waiver. This statement is untrue and it is clearly addressed in the Studentaid.gov website. The " warning '' that I will be restarting my payment clocks is very worrisome and anxiety provoking. My two options are : 1. Carry on with the consolidation based on what the studentaid website says, even though it is really scary to risk re-starting my loan counts. In effect I have to trust that I know more than they do; or 2. I cancel the consolidation which then means a portion of my loans ( about 20 % of what is owed ) is not eligible for forgiveness. If I were to follow the instructions from FedLoan I would not be receiving the full forgiveness that the waiver is for. FedLoan Servicing is communicating incorrect information either unknowingly or knowingly.

Consumer Complaint: I am consolidating my direct loans with FedLoan Servicing and received incorrect information. The letter stated that once I consolidate I will need to restart my 120 payments needed to make towards my PSLF forgiveness. This is incorrect, as per the Department of Educations waiver period starting XX/XX/XXXX and ending XX/XX/XXXX. Please correct this information - all payments I have already made towards my loans should count, I do not need to restart my count after consolidation.
