Consumer Complaint: Hello, Upon reviewing my XXXX XXXX business checking account to prepare for second quarter financial statements I noticed XXXX unauthorized ACH debits on my account paid to the merchant USAA. Upon noticing this fraud, I reviewed my personal account and found an additional XXXX. I understand they are a financial institution for military people. I have never been in the military, nor has anyone in my family. The individuals listed above in the transaction detail are unknown to me.

Consumer Complaint: Loan company applied payments to credit card, not auto loan. Auto loan in default because of this. Payment check referenced the last XXXX numbers of the auto loan ( as it was on the billing statement ). USAA, with whom I have both a credit card ( in default/very late as payments were insufficient ) and an auto loan, refuses to credit the amount to my auto loan. I expect soon to have my car repossessed, though I should have been current with payments. ( I stopped making payments the last 3 months while the USAA was supposed to be sorting this out. Now when I call and I get placed on terminal hold, such as 20 minutes today without anyone picking up after my call was forwarded. Online logs me off repeatedly when trying to get my information, noting that I have unresolved charges. This evening, when trying to gather documents for this complaint, I have been unable to access the information online. When I actually got to speak to people initially ( months ago ), they noted that no payments were shown on my accounts and that obviously my bank was in error. Then, when I pulled up the cancelled checks, the person insisted, as if it was an acceptable explanation, that they have XXXX checks that they process each day. They refused to forward the documents for this issue, insisting I can get them online. )

Consumer Complaint: My husband recently XXXX. Prior to leaving he submitted the required paperwork to USAA ( just as he had done for previous XXXX ). Recently we received a letter from USAA denying our SCRA benefits and they would not be lowering our interest rates to the 6 % let alone the 4 % that they advertise. They state that we incurred the debt after entering into this activity duty status, therefore we do not qualify. Since he just recently XXXX, this is not possible and the debts were previously incurred. After multiple XXXX and submitting this paperwork to multiple institutions USAA is the only financial institution that has denied the benefits. I would also like to note USAA did not deny our request for the previous XXXX. I was transferred to XXXX different associates that failed to assist me. When I spoke with one of the representative at USAA he stated that this benefit only applies to reservists, when they are called to activity duty.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX 2016, my wife requested a copy of our transactions conducted against our checking and savings accounts, in an attempt to try to figure out what sort of funds availability we had, by telephone. The representative she spoke with was helpful ; however, no mention of any fees that were to be charged for this service was ever made. In addition, while most consumers only request a few pages, resulting in {$20.00} - {$30.00}, or perhaps even a {$100.00} in charges, this request resulted in over XXXX pages being printed out, going back at least a year! The total charges for this were as follows : Joint checking account : {$850.00} Joint savings account : {$520.00} Joint savings account : {$130.00} Daughter 's checking account : {$580.00} Total : {$2000.00} That is a TOTAL of over {$2000.00} for simple copying, printing, and shipping, with NONE of these charges ever being explained to my wife! In fact, when I called to complain, the manager of the bank refused to even consider refunding even part of these fees because they were " in the depositors ' agreement '' - a document that I last looked at sometime early this year! This amount, is not only excessive, and exorbitant, I consider it to be literally, " highway robbery '', where the consumer is not told what fees are actually going to be charged at the time! When I called to complain about these insane charges against our accounts, I was pushed to a " manager '' who refused to even discuss the accounts in question, refused to offer any sort of recourse or recompense, and actually was somewhat rude towards me. This manager stated that " it 's in the depositors ' agreement '' and acted as if we should have known that these amounts were going to be charged, even though not one depositor probably looks at these documents except when they are mailed out by the bank, and even then, more than likely, 95 % of depositors probably only give it a brief once over! Additionally, she stated that USAA, and its representatives are under absolutely no obligation to disclose fees to consumers since they are " explained in the depositors ' agreement ''. While this might be ok for fees of under {$200.00} or {$300.00}, anything above that amount, should automatically require disclosure to the consumer, especially if these fees are going to cause an account to go into a negative balance! With regards to accounts being charged so much that they go negative : our daughter 's checking account, was charged so much in fees, that it actually did result in negative balance, which will probably result in additional fees, and none of this was explained to my wife! While both my wife and I have access to that account, that account belongs to our daughter, who was not privy to the charges that were being levied against her account, and this in and of itself, constitutes an illegal account access by USAA to that account to charge fees that were not theirs to charge. When the representative on the phone does not even discuss these charges and ensure that the customer making the request is aware of these charges, or the TOTAL amount of them, charging the consumer, who has been a member, for at least the last 15 years, and to drain their accounts of almost {$2100.00} is outright theft! These charges are completely out of line with the high quality of service I expected from USAA, and the fact that the manager was rude, and refused to even discuss what she might be able to do with regards to these charges does not speak well for USAA.

Consumer Complaint: I had a credit card through USAA, it was an XXXX XXXX card. I have always paid the credit on time and usually pay more than the minimum balance, so they have a minimum payment of {$00.00} due each month. XX/XX/2016 they put a minimum payment due of {$15.00}, of which I was not aware of because I have not had a minimum payment due in over a year and beyond. On XXXX XXXX, I got a phone call from a USAA collection agent requesting me to pay the over due balance. I paid the balance in full and requested them to reverse the 60 day late payment on my credit report. They refused to reverse the derogatory item from my credit report. I have not had a minimum payment due on this credit card for a very long time, so, I never thought they would install a {$15.00} minimum due. Therefore, I do n't feel this is a fair way to treat a consumer who has always paid this credit card on time. I want to file a complaint on how USAA 's no minimum payment due for many months / years and to instill a minimum due without alerting the consumer is not fair treatment. This {$15.00} minimum due that is 60 days late will now greatly impact my credit score, again which is not fair to me the consumer.
