Consumer Complaint: XXXX / XXXX / 2017 XXXX from USSA called and left threatening voice-mail that if I did not contact them within 24 hour s to pay a debt they would be deducting my wages. When I called them back they claimed to have been lawyers hired by original creditor to collect a past due debt. Claimed if I paid right now they could settle for less than half the amount owed. When I asked for the original creditor 's phone number so I could verify their information, they gave me a false number. I did get the correct number on my own and they put me in touch with the correct collection agency who let me know the people who were calling me were trying to scam me out of money. They were not hired by original creditors or the collection agency handling my account.

Consumer Complaint: Initial Complaint : XXXX USAA provided me with XXXX XXXX contact information from on XXXX XXXX , XXXX . I did not receive the above contact information prior to filing my complaint to the CFPB. XXXX XXXX , XXXX is the first date I received contact information on USAA.com. Everything listed above and performed by XXXX XXXX XXXX appears to have been done recently, after the derogatory credit reporting in XXXX and XXXX . There are no dates listed above regarding the investigation and/or notification prior to my complaint with the CFPB. Again, derogatory information was submitted prior to me receiving any documentation or letters regarding the resolution of the fraud investigation. I contacted USAA more than twenty " 20 '' times ( prior to my CFPB complaint ) regarding this issue via telephone, USAA.com, and fax. Moreover, I specifically informed USAA tha t my cell phone, along with other things, had been stolen and personally gave you an alternate contact number. Additionally, I was actually told in XXXX that this card was cancelled by a USAA representative and actual items on the card were disputed. Negative information should not have been reported to the credit bureaus if the credit card account was under investigation, and/or I was not aware of the results, and/or I was under the assumption that the card was cancelled. Thank you. email : XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX , I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX miles on it with a rebuilt title. I disclosed to USAA that it was rebuilt title. The only reason I bought the vehicle was because they also sold me a XXXX mile warranty for the vehicle. I would not have bought the vehicle otherwise. on XXXX , I brought it to the dealership there was a sensor that needed to be replaced and should have been covered underneath my warranty. I was told it was not, XXXX who owned the warranty said they do not cover rebuilt titles and refunded me the cost of my warranty. USAA stated they would give their phone associate remedial training, but I am now stuck with a vehicle I do not want because I have no warranty on it. I would not have bought the car if I could not get the XXXX mile warranty.

Consumer Complaint: My credit card company, USAA canceled their contract with Mastercard and began a new contract with Visa sometime around XXXX XXXX XXXX . As a result, they canceled my USAA Mastercard and sent me a new USAA Visa credit card. My Mastercard had been enrolled in autopay for many years. When USAA sent me a new Visa card, none of the services associated with the old card transferred to the new card and there was no correspondence from them to warn me of this. So I assumed that I was still enrolled in autopay. In XXXX XXXX XXXX I noticed a late fee on my bill, not something that I was accustomed to seeing with the autopay, so I contacted them. They told me that I was delinquent and that they had reported me to a credit agency. I thought this was inappropriate, so I began the dispute process with USAA on XXXX XXXX XXXX . My dispute was denied. I still ca n't believe I was treated this way by USAA, who is usually very good to it 's customers. To this day, my credit score is affected negatively by their failure to communicate.
