Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX my bank ( USAA ) automatically opted me in for overdraft fees in my checking account without my permission. On XX/XX/XXXX a recurring debit pos from a gym that I don't even go to and it costs me XXXX times the amount in fees to cancel the membership was posted to my account even though I didn't have the funds in my account to cover it. My account went in the negative and I was charged with an overdraft fee. Prior to XX/XX/XXXX the charge would have been just declined. There was no mention of this change or any permission given on my part to be opted into overdraft fees. I missed the XXXX notification that was sent via email XXXX weeks prior to the change. This seems to be an attempt to take people 's money without their consent by this bank.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 at approximately XXXXXXXX XXXX there was an attempted to make a XXXX dollar withdraw from the XXXXXXXX XXXX ATM located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, IL XXXX. The ATM displayed and error message and no cash or receipt were produced. The teller at the bank was informed and she stated that they do not service the ATM. On XX/XX/XXXX I noticed that the funds had been withdrawn from my account. I contacted USAA, with whom I bank and informed them of discrepancy at which point they informed me that they would investigate the matter. On XX/XX/2023 USAA informed me that they had denied my claim. On XX/XX/2023 I deputed the denial, which was also declined on XX/XX/2023. On XX/XX/2023 I received the documentation I had requested that USAA had used to deny my claim. The dates showing the ATM balances were illegible. I have also requested multiple times that USAA request the video footage from XXXXXXXX XXXX as there are multiple cameras that have clear views of the ATM in question, including a camera in the ATM itself. USAA has done nothing to help with this situation and are refusing to credit me my money back or do anything else, despite multiple requests.

Consumer Complaint: following up for pervious complaint XXXX and XXXX I submitted this complaint on XX/XX/2023 to provide the XXXX message XXXX XXXX has sent to USAA bank regarding the fraud transactions XXXX However as of today USAA bank didn't response to XXXX XXXX via XXXX and not response to the case XXXX. I've visited XXXX XXXX XXXX today to discuss with their fraud team. As of today, USAA still not responding to XXXX XXXX XXXX messages. I provided the pervious response ( CFPB complaint XXXX ) from USAA requesting XXXX XXXX to contact them via email or fax, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX can only communicate with other banks with XXXX XXXX message. They can not contact USAA bank via email nor fax because it's not regulated channel of communication. They reconfirm me, XXXX channel message is the only acceptable channel between banks regarding payment issue. Therefore USAA must response to XXXX XXXX via XXXX channel. If USAA needs any kind of agreement it's also on USAA bank to raise such request thro the XXXX channel. It's not possible for an individual like me to instruct a bank to issue hold harmless agreement to another bank. One more point XXXX XXXX point out to me, if the fund is still available ( as per to case XXXX USAA bank response XXXX they can not locate the account that I sent money to ) they should return the fund without asking for any " hold harmless agreement ''. I demand USAA to response to XXXX XXXX via the XXXX channel to start the communication immediately. If USAA continue to ignore messages sent through regulated communication channel but asking for outside, unregulated communication, I'll escalate the complaint to Regulator via Federal Reserve to investigate on any non-compliance process within USAA, and I reserve the right to pursue legal action to claim any interest loss and phycological injury occurred during USAA bank delay in response of my case.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX there was an unauthorized transaction that occurred at an XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$260.00}. The following day ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I noticed the transaction and called USAA to report it. They then issued me a provisional credit. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a notification from USAA claiming that the transaction was not unauthorized and that my credit would be revoked on XX/XX/XXXX. The notice also informed me that I could request the documentation used to make their final decision. I called several times in the days that followed requesting the documentation. I finally received a notice on XX/XX/XXXX, but it didn't actually include any of the documents used to make the decision. This was very upsetting for me especially since that was the day they removed my provisional credit.

Consumer Complaint: My account was closed was my fault. I was told back on XX/XX/XXXX and said it will take 60 days for my money to be sent. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and I still have received my money. Just got off the phone with them and it's still in XXXX! USAA is a horrible company and should go out of business for XXXX lawfully holding my hard earned money! I had a checking and savings account with them and they haven't sent any payment at all.

Consumer Complaint: My banks phone number was spoofed, and a scammer called me acting like my bank to gain information about my account. They retrieved information by claiming to be the fraud department. They took my information and wired themselves {$9800.00}. After investigation, my bank only partially refunded me my money and when I called about the remaining money that was owed to me, I was told that I was not going to get my refund because it was my responsibility for the wire transfer. I asked to put the case under re-review and it came back that it was still not deemed as fraud. I have the phone number that the scammers used to scam me.. to add that the scammers also ported my phone so that every call or text message that I received was sent to their phone. Again, I have the number that was used, It is recorded by my bank that it did look like someone from USAA called me but did not leave any notes about the call which goes against protocol. Even the representative said that it was odd that there werent any notes about the call, so they deemed it as a scam call and labeled it as a phishing call. This has been going on for almost two weeks and I have not been given a direct answer as to why the fraud department clarified it something that was not fraudulent.
