Consumer Complaint: Mobile deposit into Usaa account XX/XX/XXXX with a XXXX XXXX check of {$100.00}. Check was then cashed by someone who stole the check, on a XXXX XXXX account XX/XX/XXXX. The funds were then taken from my Usaa account to pay the XXXX XXXX for the cash they gave to whoever cashed my check. The XXXX XXXX account holder of the check only has the debit from XX/XX/XXXX on her account so theres nothing XXXX XXXX can do. Usaa has the account number of the XXXX account holder that the check was cashed on but can not give any information due to privacy policies. I have been back and forth with Usaa and XXXX XXXX for over 2 weeks with no results. I just found out that XXXX XXXX is where it was cashed but I don't bank with XXXX and never been to a XXXX XXXX for that matter.

Consumer Complaint: USAA suggested I consolidate two credit cards through a non-profit organization, XXXX. An XXXX and VISA. They were approved for consolidation on XX/XX/2019 through XXXX. Three payments have been made by XXXX to USAA on my behalf. USAA charged me two months of high interest and fees before updating the XXXX to the agreed upon 3 % APR. The VISA is still at a high percentage and USAA tells me its in pending. It's almost 4 months now and USAA sends me to different departments when I call without resolving the issue. I'm just a XXXX veteran who's trying to pay off debts without having to go bankrupt. I believe that USAA is prolonging the process to greedily over charge me. It's not a lot of money to a big bank like them but its sure a lot of money to a lower waged veteran like myself. While I budget every dollar to make sure my family can eat school lunch, USAA piles on fees and interest than claims they care about our service members and veterans. Been with USAA for years. With this situation USAA has promised fair services to a XXXX veteran but didn't hold up there end of the bargain.

I called and spoke to a representative from USAA And was told that they would take care of it.I Received several bills after that with late payments and over due charges I continued to call and finally got frustrated and closed all accounts I have even received a bill from them that post all charges on one day these repeat charges were all paid for back in XX/XX/XXXX. I have received ( 2 ) new cards from USAA but have never activated them. As of to date they have ( 3 ) cards listed on account ending in XXXX, and XXXX. Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Problem getting a working replacement card
Consumer Complaint: See Complaint #XXXX >> USAA cancelled my card -XXXX because they said it was "compromised". I was told a new one was sent. After a month I have not received. I tried to resolve by phone, but would only verify my identity by mobile phone or email to which I do not have access, so agent XXXX and supervisor XXXX would not continue to resolve this problem. I was finally able to reach the agents both XXXX and supervisor XXXX each of whom did not bother to listen to the problem. We have been sent a replacement card, but it is the card -XXXX which had not been compromised and is still valid. I had been very explicit that the card -XXXX in the name of XXXX XXXX had been cancelled, was supposedly replaced, but we had not received it. So, by not listening, these two agents instead had the wrong, still active card - XXXX sent us as a replacement and still the card -XXXX has not been replaced and is now voided.I also got a telephone call from someone at USAA "business" something, but this woman did not leave a return telephone number.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: Hi,I recently discovered that my bank, USAA placed a hold on all of my checking accounts for varying amounts of money due to the fact that the state of Virginia placed a incorrect funds hold. The state of Virginia believed that I owed back taxes for 2015 but they were incorrect because I did not live in Virginia in 2015 then or now. I was required to fax my tax documents to the state of Virginia in order for them to removed the hold on my accounts. Once, the hold was removed, I discovered my bank USAA had charged me XXXX fee for legal services rendered. I feel this is an unfair and unjust charge as I did not owe back taxes to the state of Virginia, therefore, should not owe XXXX. I disputed the charge with no success because they stated its their policy and will not budge under any circumstances. This fee seems more like a scam between banks and the state. The state falsely places a hold on someone’s account and when rightfully disputed, they release the funds but the bank unfairly profits. This scam could have attacked hundreds to thousands of people creating a significant source of income for a bank. How a bank can justify its use in fees in beyond me in this case.Is there any legality to these ‘legal fees’? Is there any process that I can take on to get this investigated in an official capacity? What is my recourse for this?I appreciate any help that you can give at this time. Thanks,XXXX XXXX
