Consumer Complaint: USAA closed my account after being with them for 15 years with little to no notification. The only way i found out it was being closed when i went to dispute an unknown charge. I was given no reason as to why its being closed just that it was managements decision and there was nothing that i could do about it. CSR after CSR either couldnt assist me, could not direct me in the right location or even help with a future direct deposit that was coming. One CSR even hung up on me. Though it may be speculation but i was told that this may be due to a fraud check that entered my account where i had been a victim of identity theft and all consequences i had rectified on my own with minimum investigation or support from USAA. Now that it is all said and done, they are not granting me the ability to extract my funds and have left me, while on military orders unable to provide for my family and in further hardship. Ive contacted the XXXX which USAA then gave me a call and told me they will attempt to investigate. Ive contacted them back the next day because the direct deposit hit and Im left with no answer but a later follow up call stating that they are unable to do anything about the account but they will see how to transfer the funds out. Contacted a CSR the following morning and they informed me theres nothing that i can do and that i must wait an additional 10 business days in order for the account to fully close but it can still receive my money but not give me my money.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I made a mobile deposit which was supposed to be in the amounts of {$80.00} into my USAA checking account. Unbeknownst to me I had pressed an extra zero on my deposit and it turned into {$800.00}. The following day I received a notice from USAA of the mistake and not my account was negative. {$120.00}. In the following days, my VA benefits for my XXXX XXXXXXXX were deposited into my checking account, bringing my account into the positive to the amount of {$830.00}. I then received a call from USAA saying that they were closing my account. But the problem lies in the fact that they are not giving me any of the money that was deposited into my account for the next 60 days. If this were any other form of tender or income I would understand that, but seeing as I'm a XXXXXXXX XXXX on a fixed income and these are protected funds, it is not okay for USAA to hold these funds from me. Me I'm in the process of being evicted from my home, I have no food in my fridge, and I've called begged and pleaded to USAA to please just give me my XXXX income and close my account. The only thing I met with is half-hearted. Apologies, and being told to go to charity or ask friends or family for money. Literally a USAA representative told me to go to a charity or to ask family or friends for money. I do not owe USAA anything, all of my accounts are paid and this is completely unacceptable and inhumane. Inhumane. USAA is a bank that is supposed to stand by those that have served this country, yet they are allowing the very people they swear to serve, lose their homes and walk the streets hungry.

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern As a federally protected Consumer, I was uninformed on XX/XX/22 when I entered this consumer credit transaction with USAA. I WAS NEVER given any notice that I had a RIGHT TO RESCIND my contract which under the Consumer Credit Protection Act 15 USC 1635A which is a violation of MY CONSUMER RIGHTS. I also have attached my contract below that has a plethora of violations in it which makes it NULL AND VOID. In my contract on the first page where you see 3 different charged amounts, my ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE and my FINANCE CHARGE are NUMERICALLY different which is a violation of FCPA 15 USC 1606A where it states that nominal annual percentage rate which will yield a sum equal to the amount of the finance charge when it is applied to the unpaid balances of the amount financed. This company is big enough to have lawyers who now the laws which means they willfully and knowingly violated me which is a violation of FCPA 15 USC 1611. Also, on the first page they have the different amounts that I owe which is very misleading and made it hard to comprehend what I actually owe. Also, when I went back and did the number seen on my contract my annual percentage wouldve cost me XXXX dollars but that doesnt add up with the XXXX XXXX that is presented to me in the last box with all the numbers added up that were shown on the contract the total price wouldve came out to XXXX. THATS XXXX XXXX DOLLARS over what was said to be the total amount I would have paid which violates FCPA 15 USC 1692E one again. Because those numbers are both false and misleading. On the FOURTH page of the contract under PRIVACY and NOTICE OF INFORMATION FURNASHING, I wasnt CLEARLY AND CONSPICOUSLY shown that I was giving USAA permission to use my CREDIT CARD ( SSN ) for their own personally ( TWICE ) use which means they used it without IMPLIED or APPARENT authority nor did them using my CREDIT CARD ( SSN ) benefit me at all. Which is a violation of FCPA 15 USC 1602K and 15 USC 1602P. on the SIXTH page of the contract under INSURANCE they did not CLEARLY and CONSPICUOISLY present to me where they violated my rights under the FCPA 1605C where it STATES Charges or premiums for insurance, written in connection with any consumer credit transaction, against loss of or damage to property or against liability arising out of the ownership or use of property, shall be included in the finance charge unless a clear and specific statement in writing is furnished by the creditor to the person to whom the credit is extended. I AM THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR, and my credit was extended to USAA which means this is a violation. It is also a violation of FCPA 15 USC 1602K and 15 USC 1692E Because not only was it FALSE AND MISLEADING but it was written in small print which means it wasnt presented CLEARLY AND CONSPICUOIOSLY.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 : I sent completed and returned the requested form to USAA about my auto loan not reporting on any of my credit reports. I also sent notifications to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX showing that there is an error in reporting on my credit report and provided them with proof from USAA that I had an auto loan through USAA and it was paid in full but my credit report does not reflect that that account ever existed. This has caused me undue financial hardship in obtaining a vehicle loan because of this lack of accountability for all XXXX credit bureaus and USAA who claims that it is the responsibility of the credit bureaus to report correct information. USAA provided me with my loan number and account statement so they have record of the auto loan and it did appear on my credit for a short time, but now it is gone and has negatively impacted my XXXX XXXX and caused me to be charged unaffordable interests rates on a new auto loan. None of the credit bureaus replied within the XXXXXXXX XXXX requirement with an answer or solution to my problem, and USAA claims it is out of their hands.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX to present usaa bank they transfered money to my other account witthout my permission.They kept my tax refund check and said it was put in a closed account .The same day they did a chargeoff fraud but told me no fraud acured .They are now saying they dont have my social sucurity number or id or adress and are going to close my other account due tothem not having this info .How can they not have this info they had to have it to open acccount .every time i call i get a different answer .we filed a police report immmediateley after our vehicle was taken from work i was working at XXXX and could not take items in due to covid, i also sent them notice of a breach where my info was shared from my doctors office .they still claqim no fraud accored.

Consumer Complaint: Last month my husband wanted to add a new puppy to the family. So we looked online and found a website that had XXXX XXXX The page was very detailed with lots of information reviews. We paid a deposit through XXXX {$250.00} then another {$600.00} when we had the money. Later on they said that we would have to send an additional {$1500.00} because the kennel wasnt good enough. This is when red flags went up and we refused to pay the extra {$1500.00} the major shipping company did not take credit or debit so that through us off as well. They also sent us a tracking flight and shipping details which looked very legit. So now were out {$850.00} we filed a claim through usaa and they said their was no error which we think is bs because itS clearly fraud and a scam. Basically we were told to go talk to the people we tried to by the puppy from the people who scammed us. They blocked us on everything and we can not contact them what so ever. We also contacted local police in that area. I also searched photos of the dog after and found it on a real breeders page.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX I called usaa to notify them my card was stolen as well as my car with my cell phone inside.I was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXXCovid is still going on so they requested we not bring anything inside the XXXX..I filed a police report and immediatley sent it to usaa, I didnt use this account much .On XXXX i checked my balance and my acccout had not been shut off and XXXX dollars was gone .Usaa said this wasnt fraud and said my account was overdrawn this amount, Who ever took this had acess to my cell phone so they spent the provisinial credit and transferred money from my other usaa account where my paychecks were deposited.Im out all this money and then my tax refunds hits and usaa keeps it on a closed account, Now usaa has sent several letters stating they need my social security number id and adress because they dont have it for my other account, How can they not have it? how have they been veryfyig anything without that info? Im out all this money and they have no clue who i am.
