Consumer Complaint: I am a US Bank customer I was applying for a personal loan, personal line of credit, and for some reason I keep getting denied for the pre-screening process after the pre-screening process the next step is to do a credit check, which involves hard inquiry and I have not been through that yet because the pre-screening wont allow me to pass giving me a denial letter that says insufficient funds or overdraft on the account, I spoke with loan consultants XXXX XXXX customer relations and bankers of all management levels and no one can help me. No one has no resolution or even heard of the situation that Im trying to explain that I am showing that US bank system is being misled by information that is false which would be considered an error. I wonder how many people this has happened to trying to get a loan I know I meet the loan requirements after pre-screening as far as income, credit, history and all that etc. Ive spoken with XXXX people within a day and a half with a total of XXXX minute phone call for the first day which was XXXX people and then I spoke with XXXX people the next day with the same concerns and it just goes in circles, I understand if my credit was being checked and was being considered for funding but I cant make it past pre-screening. I need to speak with a US Bank official that has authorization to look into accounts and speak to me about these concerns that I have because no one else in any department that US Bank offers has that ability or even knowledge to what Im trying to tell them they wasnt even familiar with the bank state code for Ohio 1611 and I was trying to explain that as well instead I get hung up on phone and tossed around to different people that dont understand why Im calling and where was I transferred from no communication at all very unprofessional Im not understanding how these people get paid so much money to look over citizens accounts and they have no care in their job or knowledge to help them make their job easier its just unprofessional and makes no sense. I just have a little concerned that I want looked at because I feel like its a small error thats happening from the system. It would be nice to speak with someone from corporate or human resources, or some type of corporate department in person to either explain, or go through what Im going through with me. Ive had a banker and a manager hang up on me at a XXXX center location which is inside the XXXX grocery store off of XXXX and the managers name is XXXX and the other guys name was XXXX both as unprofessional they both hung up on me twice disconnected the phone call which let me to call back and try to resolve the situation and it did not work. They were still frustrated and took their personal emotions out on me while they are working and Ive never met these people or seen them in person and this is how they treat people who call in about their own bank I cant keep doing this I need help please Im just trying to use a Service that my bank offered.

Consumer Complaint: Hello US Bank, i filed a fraud claim on XX/XX/XXXX for MULTIPLE ATM Transactions on my debit card ending in XXXX. EVERY ATM WITHDRAWAL IN MY CHECKING ACCOUNT IS UNAUTHORIZED. Total Transactions : XXXX. The total amount stolen out of my account via ATM Fraud was over {$2800.00}. I have my new card number and stuff already coming to me in the mail. Consumer Complaint: U.S. Bank sent me a letter stating they have elected to close my credit card account in accordance with the terms and conditions of my card member agreement. The bank did not point out exact terms or conditions that I had violated for them to decide to close the credit account. I have made several attempts to get in contact with the bank to find out reasons for the closure of the credit card account by calling a contact number provided in the letter. However, I have not been able to have someone to answer my phone calls or to give me return-call yet.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, i tried to withdraw money from an atm machine with my debit card, but the atm said that it was an invalid card and took the card. I called US Bank to inquire why i couldn't withdraw money from my account, and they told me to go and see a branch manager the next day. I went to see the branch manager and she said that they have placed a hold on my account. She has emailed the bank to inquire but the hold, and they are not responding to her. And everytime i call to see how i can get my money, they tell me to go and speak to the branch manager. It's been a week now, and i don't have any money on me to even get gas to go to work. I have told them to close the account and give me my money, they say no. I don't know what to do again.

Consumer Complaint: Over half a year ago I finally was able to end the PMI I had on my mortgage, currently the home insurance and the taxes are the only items still being paid through the escrow account. Unfortunately the bank is only rewarding me with 0.5 % of interest on the balance which is only a tenth of a what I can get in the short term money market currently. Obviously I want to put my money to work for me, not for US Bank. Unfortunately US Bank is categorically refusing to cease the escrow requirement, when asked why, they refer to a signed 5 year agreement. They fail to produce a copy of said agreement when I requested it, I do not have it in my possession nor do I recall signing anything like this. The request has been made several times by phone, chat and certified mail. It seems to me that US bank is deliberately taking no action to benefit from this interest gap.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, my account was closed due to fradualant activity on my bank with a permanent freeze on the account, declaring money can not leave or enter the account. It was randomly closed and I lost access to all of my funds. I called on XX/XX/XXXX, and was told it would take up to 30 days to resolve the account closure and remove the hold. They told me I would receive a cashiers check within 10 days of the account closing. I was given zero updates via mail or phone about my account. They failed to report all of the fraudulent activity. They have recharged things I have proof was not me and have had an ongoing investigation on my account for three months now. I have call over 30 times since the account has closed to receive the same message over and over again. They failed to report that 8 accounts had been taken out in my name and SSN, and have activity on the accounts where money was moved from my primary into the fraudalent accounts. I have received zero accomodations, support, or beneficial assistance as a lot of money was taken from me and that was I supported myself. I haven't been able to pay all bills. The dates for the investigation time continues to grow as it went from 30, to 45, to now up to six months for a resolution.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a CD with US Bank with an opening balance of {$20000.00} in XX/XX/2023. I wanted to close the account because I am actively looking at homes and want the funds available to do what I need to do. The term was 19 months and while I understand that I am at fault for breaking the contract but I would never ever believe that a reputable bank like them would take money from my principal. I understand them taking back their interest payment but to take back all their interest payment plus nearly {$500.00} from my principal I believe it a a bit of an overkill and unethical business practice. They profited from my principal for 4 months and they still want to charge a usury fee this time is truly unfair and dishonest business practice by a bank. How can they get away with stealing from customers its almost loan sharking and I believe this is unacceptable behavior. Can you all please help me because this is not fair to customers and who can champion our cause and concerns if not CFPB.
