Consumer Complaint: US Bank continues to harass us. Regardless of what they tell the CFPB, they refuse to speak with me about anything. They say they are waiting for court documents and won't speak to anyone other than XXXX XXXX even though they know he is deceased and passed away 2 years ago. This time, the contact is for a completely new issue. US Bank has always paid our homeowners insurance policy. According to our insurance company ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), US Bank made a payment a few months ago and this payment paid the entire policy until it renews around XX/XX/2021. Absolutely nothing is due until the next period starts in mid XXXX and the Insurance company won't even know the rate until early XXXX. In a letter dated XX/XX/2021, US Bank says our homeowners insurance has " expired ''. In this same letter, they stated that they plan to buy insurance for the property and it may be SIGNIFICANTLY MORE EXPENSIVE and may not provide as much coverage as we already have. Since they paid the entire premium themselves, they should be able to check their own records and see that the entire amount is paid up for at least 7 weeks. As a mortgage company, someone in their office should be aware that I can not even make a payment towards the next billing cycle until the insurance company sends me a renewal Since they plan on buying insurance for a property that is already covered, they will probably try to pass that premium on to us. We will NOT be responsible for this amount. Lastly, they say they will record every call to us but don't want us recording them. Colorado is a single-party consent state when it comes to recording phone calls so I have notified them verbally that I record every single call they make to me. This complaint will serve as a written notice that I will continue to record every call they make to me. If the CFPB or FTC would like to listen to some of these calls, please let me know and I will gladly forward the recordings. Please see last response from US Bank to CFPB. They state that they will discuss this with me but they still refuse to speak with me when I call. Also, I tried calling the phone number in the letter they sent but it goes to a 3rd party and this letter was sent by US Bank, and wasn't sent by the people at the phone number i was instructed to call.

Consumer Complaint: Paid off a lease with US Bank in approximately XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX more than 6 months later ) I began receiving statements for {$52.00} for " Misc Non-taxable '' with no other explanation. I returned the first one with explanation that car was paid off. The next month I called and XXXX claimed it was a Pennsylvania toll fee from XXXX. The date did not seem to line up with past travel, but so much time had passed that I requested proof ( toll invoice including picture of my vehicle ). They said they would mail but could NOT scan to me. In XX/XX/XXXX, I still had received nothing, so called again. XXXX said file appeared to indicate that it was mailed, but she would try again. Still nothing! Talked to XXXX again in XX/XX/XXXX and she was not sure why mailings had not been sent. In XXXX I wrote a detailed letter and asked that they provide the proof or stop harassing me. In XX/XX/XXXX, I talked to XXXX and he claimed details were sent twice but he did not have access to them and again NOBODY could sent them via email ( which is ridiculous ), I requested they try to mail again. About a week later someone who sounded just like XXXX called me and got very nasty and indicated I should pay whether I had the proof or not because it was my leasing company requesting the money. Absurd! I have spent so much time attempting to determine whether this is my bill. First, not sure why they didn't bill it at the time they paid it, second, why it wasn't included in my payoff figure, and third what is so difficult to provide the info I have repeatedly asked for. This has become emotionally draining for me and it needs to stop.

Consumer Complaint: Opened a secured credit card account with US Bank with the idea that I can get into a regular credit card with the bank. Made an initial deposit of {$300.00} and have paid the account current since opening. Have actually paid off the card every month after use, was advised that I can put in a request for a regular credit card on XXXX. I put in said request but was denied stating that they are going by my credit history however I have other cards that I use in similar fashion. I believe it is unfair of US Bank not to take into consideration the history I have with them personally rather than them focusing on others that is not relevant to my account history with US Bank. Furthermore items in my record are not accurate and are being disputed, a fact that US bank is not taking into consideration.

Consumer Complaint: This is a case of detrimental reliance. US Bank took my call XXXX XX/XX/2021 to execute a close out of an IRA Money Market Account with a check mailed to me as that is US Banks ONLY method of processing. It was verified by a subsequent call to US Bank ( today, XXXX XX/XX/2021 XXXX I was informed on XXXX XX/XX/2021, that it would take 5 to 7 business days to complete the transaction as I called US Bank to inquire as to why the check had not been received. I was informed the transaction had not even been processed as of XXXX XXXX today, XXXX XXXX, XXXX. US Bank REFUSED to consider expediting the transaction, refused to consider using long established XXXX and even REFUSED to consider overnight mail of said check at MY expense per my request. US Bank is intentionally manipulating and withholding depositor 's funds.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, My business checking account with US Bank was hacked and used to send unauthorized payments using XXXX. I only found out about this when I checked my checking account some time after these four transactions. I did open up a claim with US Bank but it was denied stating that the transactions were posted as requested, even though I never authorized these transactions. When filing the claim with US Bank, US Bank notified me that business checking accounts only have a one day window to submit a claim, while personal accounts have about one month. The reason for the denial of this claim was that I had filed the claim more than 1 day later from when the incidents occurred, as I am a business owner and do not check my checking account every day since I am busy with work. Consumer Complaint: My husband and I created a family trust. The bank refused to supersede our existing accounts into the name of the trust. They wanted us to open a new account in the name of the trust and just add our family members as beneficiaries to the existing accounts and in the event of our death those members could then move the funds into the trust. This is not the function of a trust. They are providing incorrect legal advice and providing incorrect information to stakeholders that could ultimately result in legal and tax consequences.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am a victim of identity theft. There were thieves using my identity to open accounts in a utility company XXXX XXXX XXXX in the period of XXXX to XXXX. These accounts were not noticed until they were delinquent and subjected to collections. The collections never reached to me but showed up in my credit report in XXXX. Both the collection agency which is XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX have never informed me these collections. This spring, we purchased a house for our primary residency. When I apply the home mortgage loan from US Bank, I was rejected because in my credit report there are these collections from the accounts I never knew. Now I can not get a loan because I am a victim of identity theft. I have acted quickly to resolve the problem. I reported the identity theft case immediately to the XXXX County police. The case number is XXXX. After receiving the police report, I contacted the three entities : XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX. I sent mails, made phone calls, sent emails to get their attention to correct this problem. Now, all three of them had verified that these accounts are not mine and their collections are not my responsibility because my stolen identity had been used to open these accounts by the thieves. The XXXX XXXX XXXX told me that it takes couple of months to withdraw the collections from the credit bureau, and XXXX told me my dispute was completed but they are investigating my case, in the meantime these collections can not be removed from my credit report. I do not know how long time they need to investigate it. The US bank will not consider my loan application because these collections are still in my credit report. I stuck here. I do not know what to do. I feel helpless.

Consumer Complaint: I have two complaints on the same transaction. ( 1 ) We are being charged for a balance transfer that we never received ; and ( 2 ) the company changed the offer rate even though we initiated the transaction in time and under the terms of the offer. We requested a balance transfer from XXXX XXXX XXXX Visa XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/21 in response to an offer of 7.24 % APR. Subsequently, we received a confirmation in the mail dated XX/XX/21 showing that the APR is 12.24 %. In addition, we hadn't even received the funds as expected. We contacted Cardmember Service on XX/XX/21 stating that we still have not received the funds, after confirming with our bank. Cardmember Service said that they initiated an ACH electronic funds transfer. They could not provide an EFT reference number ( I believe they referred to it as ACH Trace Number ). I confirmed our bank details with them, so it was not a mistake on our end. After speaking with several customer service representatives, they informed us that they would research and send us a letter within 15 business days. They also said that they would not offer the 7.24 % APR rate - even though we submitted the request online on XX/XX/21, they did not process the transaction until after XX/XX/21, which is after that rate expired. We received the credit card statement on XX/XX/21 showing that they charged our card for the balance transfer on XX/XX/21 at the rate of 12.24 %, yet as of XX/XX/21, we still have not received the funds and they are unresponsive to our requests.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, recently my credit was decreased because it was reported from US Bank that my mortgage had increased up by about {$2000.00}. Even though I have taken part in a forbearance plan, they have reported that my mortgage has increased in {$980.00} increments. When I called my credit unions, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, they all said they are receiving reports from US Bank as {$100000.00}. When I receive my monthly statements and check my balance online it indicated that the remaining balance is {$100000.00}. After I disputed the balance through XXXX and XXXX, the dispute decision was decided as accurate information reported which is incorrect. When I called US Bank they also confirmed my balance of {$100000.00} and indicated they are reporting that number to the credit agencys. So my disputes have been declined, the credit agencys are saying they are receiving {$100000.00} from US Bank, and US Bank is declaring they are reporting {$100000.00}. They had caused a 14 point drop in my credit.
