Consumer Complaint: I received a message of a fraudulent charge that wasn't fraudulent. I used the text system to say that it wasn't. Then I tried to use my card for a few purchases and it would not let me use my card. They sent me to 3 different people all telling me the same thing. I love US bank because of the convenience and the customer service is great when it works, it just takes forever. And the constant shutting off my card is an embarrassing experience.

Consumer Complaint: I have sent US Bank two certified letters ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, both in 2021 ) to request them to eliminate these accounts from my credit reports asthey are my father 's who died in XX/XX/2021. I have requested an investigation of these accounts and of any proof that these accounts are mine but they have ignored my letters and phone calls. I have recently seen where they have re-aged these accounts so to add extra length to debts that are not mine.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I ordered a TV online from XXXX. My US Bank XXXX XXXX credit card was immediately charged the full amount of {$1600.00} however I never received an order confirmation e-mail and after my purchase the TV was marked as out of stock. On XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I called the phone number listed on XXXX website to inquire about my order. They use a call center and the call center employee could not tell me anything other than they would forward my request to the merchant. On XX/XX/XXXX I called a final time to tell them to cancel my order and refund me since I never received any communication from the merchant regarding my order. I told the call center that if the merchant did not call me back or refund me I would issue a chargeback which I did on XX/XX/XXXX. No communication was ever received from the merchant and I never received the TV. However, US Bank denied my dispute ( Case Number : XXXX ) because I did not show proof that I never received the TV and because I did not request a refund in writing, despite the fact that the merchant submitted an invoice as part of their reply to my dispute that shows the order was canceled on XX/XX/XXXX. I've spoken to multiple representatives at XXXX XXXX and they keep telling me to submit evidence that I don't have the TV despite me submitting the same evidence that the merchant submitted showing the TV order was canceled. The merchant XXXX has both the TV and my money, I do not want the TV anymore as I do not want to do business with this company, I just want my money back.

Consumer Complaint: A rather unique situation occurred on XX/XX/2020. My brother in law used my desk top to apply for a credit card with US Bank. My information auto populated and he submitted the application. I wrote US bank informing them the application was submitted in error and to remove the inquiry from my credit report. US bank responded that they would not remove and if I believe my identity was taken to contact their fraud department. I responded with the letters enclosed with a signed statement from my brother in law that he made an error and proof that he has a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. And again, to please remove the inquiry.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 my XXXX account was hacked into and withdrew {$55000.00} through 7-8 transactions from my US Bank checking account. I notified my bank the next morning and closed the account, opened a new one and filed a fraud claim through them. As of yesterday, XX/XX/2021, they have denied my claim and completely closed my accounts with them, ending our relationship indefinitely. They have not taken any course of action in fighting this for me and getting my money back. They sent me the audit log that was used in their investigation and clearly shows multiple different IP addresses withdrawing money from my checking account.

Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Account opened as a result of fraud
Consumer Complaint: Someone got a hold of my social security number and got a SS card printed and they signed it. Then they took a XXXX XXXX check with someone else 's name and washed the name on it and put my company name on it. They made a fake XXXX Driver 's license using my XXXXXXXX XXXX photo and my old address in XXXX. They also must have contacted the Secretary of XXXX and got my company 's federal tax ID number and a letter from the IRS with my tax ID on it. They took all that info and submitted it to multiple financial institutions in order to open a merchant account. Many other institutions phoned my company because things didn't add up. But somehow XXXX, a Merchant Services company didn't due their due diligence and opened up a Merchant account in the name of my company. Once I found out that I had these attempts on my credit, I locked my credit, but somehow XXXX opened them up anyway! One of the banks sent me a copy of the fake id and check and IRS letter. Once XXXX opened them up, the fraudsters proceeded to run over {$30000.00} through that account. Now I'm being pursued by XXXX for {$220.00}! I don't have a clue what that's for. As far as I'm concerned they need to eat that money as they are the ones that opened up the account without proper verification.
