Consumer Complaint: I contacted Reliacard XXXX in XXXX of XXXX, to inform them that I was a victim of identity theft and that I just found out because my SNAP benefits had been cancelled because I was getting accused of fraud. I asked the associate to stop my XXXX benefits and that I wanted to start a dispute about the transactions on XX/XX/XXXX {$1400.00} & XX/XX/XXXX {$1600.00}. She said she needed to confirm a few things, then she returned to our call almost accusing me of lying and asking me why I hadn't called sooner. She was very rude and ended up not doing anything that I asked her to do, but she had told me that everything had been taken care of and she was mailing me forms to be filled out for my dispute but noted it on my account. I waited for 3 weeks before I called back, I asked about the forms that were mailed to me and he informed me that because of the coronavirus mail and everything else was going very slow but to be patient and we hung up. I called weekly after that because the forms never were mailed because there isn't any forms they could've started my dispute over the phone! And, they never stopped the benefit checks! One of the times I called, they didn't allow me access to my account because according to them I couldn't confirm my identity, unbelievable. I called back a few weeks later and I was allowed access, I asked why I was not allowed last time and she had no idea what I was talking about. So, I explained to her from the beginning when I first called and what I wanted and what the first associate told me. She ended up transferring me, i had to explain to the same story again, she said she needed to look in to some things and she would call me back. She never did. And they never stopped sending my benefit checks to whoever they sent them to! I have been trying to dispute the following unauthorized transactions ; XX/XX/XXXX {$1400.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$1600.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$410.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$1300.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$270.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$910.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$370.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$370.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$370.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$410.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$410.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$410.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$410.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$370.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX {$910.00}. Also, in XXXX of XXXX on my same account there was a deposit made of {$2700.00}. Again, Reliacard allowed someone to steal {$2000.00} the max amount that can be taken of my account! I again called to dispute that transaction and won because they obviously found some proof that I wasn't lying and that they made the mistake. They refunded that {$2000.00} to me, so why doesn't refund my previous transactions listed above? Because I didn't submit a dispute in time? Or more likely, one was never submitted!?? I called and tried to do what I needed to do. And, I understand that they were extremely busy because of the coronavirus. But, truly and honestly they owe me that money. And, XXXX way that I know that this could be fixed is by listening to our recorded phones. Reliacard claims to record every phone call, I pray that they do and they also claim to reimburse the disputed amount of money if their investigation is not complete in 10 days. I hope they hold true to what they say. I am enclosing proof of my identity theft along with the detectives name and phone number, police report & various documents. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: A {$100.00} XXXX Gift Card I purchased at my local XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/22 XXXX was immediately deactivated by the time I logged in at home to register the gift card on XXXX. I went to back to XXXX XXXX to verify if they somehow didn't activate it, but they referred me to their gift card helpline at XXXX. I had to call the XXXX ( XXXX ) help line the next morning on XX/XX/22 since they were already closed. The XXXX help line said their system showed that the card was activated and authorized for the {$100.00} - Case # XXXX documented my inquiry to XXXX. I then called the number on the back of the XXXX Gift Card XXXX. I spoke with XXXX giving him the last 8 digits on the back of the card, and he informed me that their fraud dept. had deactivated the card due to potential fraud. I explained that I just purchased the card last night, and I was not able to even registered the card on their website due to the site giving an invalid card number error. XXXX was only able to offer me a replacement card to arrive by regular mail in 7 to 14 business days. I mentioned to him if you're trying to avoid fraud on the card then expedite delivery of the replacement card through XXXX or XXXX not regular mail where it can be lost or stolen. XXXX responded they don't offer any other delivery method. He was not able to provide a case number or tracking number in reference to the replacement card. When I asked for a supervisor he hurried me off the call and hung up on me ignoring my concerns. XXXX Gift Card company is making money off the {$100.00} that I can't use until the replacement card arrives. It is unfair that they not only make money off the {$5.00} activation fee, but now they have pocketed my money for 2 weeks. I have been greatly inconvenienced not being able to utilize the gift card to pay bills. This business practice should be unlawful.

Consumer Complaint: After submitting a complaint with cfpb about the automated harassment emails and calls -- from numbers ( XXXX ) XXXX, ( XXXX ) XXXX, and ( XXXX ) XXXX -- I received a response through you all in which US Bank described that activity the following way : -- - " During a deferment, collection practices and monthly mortgage statements are still issued with the intended reason to keep the customer informed. Notices can be computer generated and during the forbearance process, our system of record is not updated until the deferment is completed. If you have any specific notice or statement about which you would like further clarity, you may contact the XXXX department or the XXXX XXXX XXXX for further research. '' " Please accept our apology for any frustration you experienced with the customer service provided. We strive to provide superior service and we regret if you feel that we fell short in this instance. '' -- - Now, my statement on the app has XXXX transactions, reflecting a transfer of {$2000.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX that is back-dated to XX/XX/XXXX, moving from one principal balance ( with a higher rate, as if they were doing me a favor ), to a principal balance to a lower rate. The transaction does not appear on any statement I have, and it appears they say the transaction happened in XXXX, when I still had electronic statements ( conveniently ). But the account has payments dating from XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX of XXXX, and those principal balances do not even show any interest having accrued on the amount that was " transferred '' in XX/XX/XXXX -- it's clear they robbed me of {$2000.00} and used the apparent lack of statement records available online ( I do keep paper copies ) to hide the evidence, with a backdated transaction that generated no interest at all over XXXX months.

Consumer Complaint: Around XXXX of XXXX I entered into a mortgage forbearance plan with US Bank due to a decrease in income related to XXXX. When my forbearance plan ended last year, US Bank offered me a loan modification. After submitting the notarized loan modification forms to them several times, each time they returned the papers with vague reasons why they were unable to accept them. Finally, they said that too much time had passed and I would need to reapply for mortgage assistance, which I did. After several weeks they again sent out loan modification paperwork which I then took to XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX to be notarized. Per tracking information from XXXX, these papers were received on XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received another packet from US Bank with a letter stating that they could not accept my paperwork and new loan modification paperwork to complete by XX/XX/XXXX. Today at XXXX XXXX my wife and I called US Bank to speak with a loan modification employee regarding why they could not accept the papers that were sent to them ( yet again ). The employee named " XXXX '' ( unsure if spelled exactly correct ) stated that it was either due to the notary not signing a paper, or that I signed in print ( I am unable to sign in cursive ). He was unable or unwilling to tell me what paper the notary did not sign correctly, and also stated that the loan modification forms MUST be signed in cursive even though I do not know how to write in cursive, and my initial mortgage papers were signed in print without an issue. At this point I am VERY concerned that I may lose my home to foreclosure due to the constant refusal of US Bank to accept notarized paperwork. Every time the papers are submitted, there are different excuses why they are unable to accept them. Please help!

I understand not being able for Modification, because I just had one in XXXX of XXXX. I was told the only thing I can do is try to repay the past due amount myself. US Bank Home Mortgage was well aware of my Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy and Modification in XXXX. I was on the Covid-19 plan and they told me I doesn't matter, I should still qualify for a repayment once I'm off the plan. I called today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and spoke with XXXX in collections, she told me the only I can do at this point is try to get caught up on my past due amount on my own. I am in active Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy and I have been current with my monthly payments up until XX/XX/XXXX. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: Received a pre-paid gift card as a gift. Tried to use it at a retail store, but was declined. Tried to activate and register the card on-line via the " XXXX website by entering the card number, but was told to contact the company via the phone number on the back side. After 90 minutes on hold, I was told that I was to try to register it online. I advised the agent that I tried that and it didn't work. They then said to call the XXXX number on the back, and register it. I said that is the number I called and it didn't give me an option to activate it online. She kept repeating that it has to be done via the phone number. I repeatedly told her that that is the number I called and it did not help. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told none were available because of long wait times. Basically, I have a pre-paid gift card that I am not able use anywhere and can't get the necessary help to activate it.
