Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I tried to use my USBank XXXX card, only to discover that it was cancelled. During a conversation with the US Bank representative, it was explained to me that there was a request to cancel the card due to allegedly our move to Texas from Minnesota and a new card was requested to an address in Texas. According to the representative, the request was placed on XX/XX/2022. We, obviously, did not move anywhere. The information given to the US Bank was fraudulent. We were never contacted by USBank and, according to the representative, a new card was issued and sent to the Texas address. The representative would not give us the Texas address. We requested to immediately cancel the fraudulent card and notify us and verify with us, in case any address changes or any other changes on our credit account are done by anybody in the future. We have not received our XXXX statement, so we do not know if any fraudulent charges have been made in our name.

Consumer Complaint: My husband received a phone call on XX/XX/XXXX asking if he could be available to receive financial legal documents for a civil case for me. He denied. The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX attempted to contact him again on XX/XX/XXXX at work. I was first contacted by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and asked if I was ( my maiden name ). I didn't admit, but asked what it was in regards to. She informed me they needed to deliver documents for a civil case, but that was all she could share unless I admitted to being the person they were trying to contact. I explained that I didn't know if she was who she claimed to be, and she hung up. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received another call at work. Truly concerned I answered, but again, denied my identity, because I was at work and couldn't go into that conversation near my co-workers and supervisors. I called back 30 mins later to discuss what they were alleging. I was advised that they were persuing a civil suit for {XXXX} for an account with US Bank dating back to XXXX. I denied remembering the account, and told her that it should be past the statute of limitations anyway. She denied there being a statute of limitation on this account, although in IL it's 10 years on a written contract. She claimed to have the paperwork and forms of ID on file from when the account was opened. I was threatened with a lien being placed on my vehicle and being served lawsuit paperwork. She stated that 2 letters were sent prior to the phone calls, explaining my options to clear the debt. ( I do not recall ever having received anything ). I told her to send the paperwork ( whatever that may be ). She told me " good luck in court ''.

Issue: Closing on a mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: Started a loan with us bank on XX/XX/XXXX no documents were requested regarding said loan until XX/XX/XXXX after my offer was accepted on a property on XX/XX/XXXX. Throughout the process there has been a lack of communication regarding my loan and documents needed. My original loan officer XXXX XXXX actually resigned during the middle of this process and it was handed to a manager by the name of XXXX XXXX ( phone XXXX ). XXXX has been extremely slow to communicate throughout the process, communication from him is typically after business house between the hours of XXXX. With the delay in information my closing was set for XX/XX/XXXX which has been pushed back multiple times and now leaves the sellers of the house potential being XXXX as their buyer is no longer willing to extended the contract on their home to purchase. I can supply emails and text treads throughout this process to show of the delays. My loan officer XXXX fore refuses to call me or ask for any information, she speaks to third parties and not myself directly. This case has caused me to miss numerous hours of work as well as pain and suffering from miscommunication

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Application denied
Consumer Complaint: I opened a secure credit card {$2000.00} 4 years ago with US Bank When I filed for bankruptcy to build my credit I was told my account would be reviewed after12 months to get an u secure card or upgrade my current account to unsecured account. Its been 48 months I have never heard anything from US bank about upgrading my account so I requested a review of my account I have never been late nor exceeded my credit limit in the past four years I have obtained XXXX creditors all in excellent standing never late and all paid in full with no balances zero debt obligations! My income to debt ratio is less 10 % I have a car loan in excellent standing! Yet I was denied stating I have delinquent accounts? I have zero delinquencies I only have my bankruptcy which was closed in XX/XX/2018 this was the reason for opening this account to improve my credit. My credit score thru US bank system reads XXXX on my reports Im at XXXX. The letter I received from US BANK makes no sense.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Charged too much interest
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX, XXXX, I made purchases with my US Bank XXXX XXXX with a 0 percent introductory rate totaling approximately {$2000.00}. US Bank classified these as cash advances, so they were subject to interest. Realizing a portion of my balance was now subject to interest, I paid the cash advance off at the end of the month. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made payments of {$400.00} and {$2000.00}. More than enough to cover my minimum payment plus the cash advances and associated fees. There was an interest charge in XXXX, but I figured that was just for the partial month prior. However, they continued to charge interest for the next three months. It appeared they did not properly credit my payments to the cash advance balance. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called customer service to see what the issue was. They told me payments are supposed to go to the minimum payment, then toward the highest interest rate balance. However, because I tried to pay it off before the cash advance hit my next statement, the funds went toward my promotional balance instead of the cash advance balance. I asked them to correct this obvious error. After initially acting like they could correct it, she came back after a brief hold and said there was nothing they could do. My only option was to pay it off again. Even though I already had! This is clearly an accounting error on the part of US Bank. One that should have been easy to fix. Instead, I was erroneously charged over {$100.00} in interest. I am being punished for paying my bill too early. How does that make sense?

Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem while selling or giving up the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I executed a vehicle trade agreement with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, NC. I traded in a XXXX XXXX XXXX for a new XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX agreed to payoff the existing lease that I had on the XXXX XXXX XXXX through US Bank as part of the transaction. A new lease was established with another lender for the XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I noticed that the auto-payment for the XXXX XXXX was deducted from my checking account by US Bank XXXX I assumed that there might just be a delay in processing the payoff. On XX/XX/XXXX, I checked the US Bank website and noticed that they account was still open and active. I called US Bank to inquire about this and was informed that a check had been received but not yet been credited to my account. US Bank stated that there were " missing documents '' and that there was a " discrepancy '' in the payoff amount. I asked for more detail regarding the missing documents and the payoff discrepancy and the agent was unable to provide. The agent promised to follow-up on my questions and return my call with more information. When I did not hear back, I called US Bank again on XX/XX/XXXX. Again- the agent I spoke with was unable to provide specific details regarding the issues preventing US Bank from applying the check they had received to my account. Again, the agent promised to follow-up on my behalf and return my call with more information. On XX/XX/XXXX I had still not received any follow-up communication. I called US Bank again - this time spending 59 minutes on the call - being transferred through various departments. I spoke with 4 employees that evening - none of whom could tell me what was preventing US Bank from applying the check that had been received to pay off my account. I was advised that I needed to continue making payments on the lease - the next payment due on XX/XX/XXXX. I was further advised that the dealership needed to call US Bank to be told what the outstanding issues were. On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted the Finance Manager at XXXX XXXX. XXXX, the Finance Manager, assured me that everything had been submitted appropriately - but that he would again, on that day, resubmit all of the requirement paperwork by fax to US Bank. On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted US Bank again to determine if the account had been closed. I was informed that there were still issues with " missing paperwork '' and a " discrepancy '' in the payoff amount and that the dealer needed to contact US Bank for more information. On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted XXXX XXXX and left a voicemail with XXXX, the Finance Manager, to notify him of my concern that the issue has not been resolved. As of the time of this complaint, I have not received a response from XXXX. My XXXX, XXXX lease payment to US Bank is now 3 days past due. I can not afford to continue making monthly payments to US Bank for a vehicle that I am no longer in possession of. I am unclear who is ultimately responsible at this point - XXXX or US Bank.. but I know for sure that it should not be me who is responsible as I have an executed agreement with XXXX agreeing to payoff the XXXX vehicle. Please help!!
