Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received 2 letters from US Bank. One stated the same as my previous complaint. The second was a retaliatory letter claiming " fraud '' and the inability to raise my credit limit without proof of ID, social security, et cetera. This is clearly retaliatory actions as apparently a credit card can be opened without this information, but the moment a complaint is submitted there's a " threat of fraud '' The lack of professionalism and predatory card services is just overwhelmingly disgusting and this adversely affects my credit if I were to get another credit card, etc. It's unbelievable that a bank can get away with this.

Consumer Complaint: I already filed a complaint related to an equipment lease from years ago. The complaint was resolved and US Bank said that they accept {$1200.00} as a buyout for the equipment that we accidentally gave to the maintenance company instead of the leasing company at the end of our lease. I do not know how we ended up in this contract as it was not signed by an officer of our company. It appeared to be signed close to a decade ago by a regional manger during a time of limited corporate oversight. We continued to honor our supposed commitments under the contract and made payment despite concerns about it's legitimacy. The contract ended and we attempted to return the equipment to the lessor, but mistakenly returned it to a 3rd party that disposed of it. I explained that we could not return the equipment to the lessor and they said that they could accept about {$1200.00} for a lease buyout. I expected to receive an invoice for {$1200.00} but instead received one for $ XXXX as if the lease is just going to continue forever.

Consumer Complaint: It came to my attention on XX/XX/XXXX that XXXX large Electronic withdrawals had been taken from my US Bank savings account. The total amount of all XXXX amounted to {$41000.00}. This is a savings account I opened in XXXX XXXX after the death of my husband. I have never withdrawn money from this account, never transferred money from this account, it was just my nest egg. The first withdrawal was dated XX/XX/XXXX. This amount appeared at the very bottom of my XX/XX/XXXX ( which I received XX/XX/XXXX ) statement as a small XXXX line entry. Because I have never touched this account I admit I overlooked this. This Electronic withdrawal and the following XXXX others all went to XXXX XXXX. The next months statement I did not receive, at the time I was receiving paper statements from the bank. By the time I received the XXXX statement I could not believe what I saw. My savings was considerably lower. I immediately went to my bank and began the process. Thankfully I received all my money back EXCEPT the original {$11000.00} which my bank tells me I waited more than 60 days to notice so they can do nothing. Fraud is fraud. They know where this money went. I trusted US Bank with my savings. Never received an alert or notice or even a phone call or e-mail of any kind about unusual activity. I want my funds back. I have provided any and all paperwork the bank required. I want US Bank to fulfill its fiduciary responsibility to me and return my money. I thought it would be safe to deposit money in a bank, but US Bank has proven otherwise

Issue: Closing on a mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: We have been working with US Bank mortgage employees to purchase a new house. Our closing had been scheduled for XX/XX/22. Last week, they advised we would need to change the date due to the holiday. We requested they attempt to allow the close to take place on XX/XX/22. They advised they were waiting on one thing, so we were not able to make Friday work. Today, we had a XXXX closing scheduled and I am being told we are waiting on one more thing. We are now waiting on a confirmation of close so that we can make a third appointment with the title agency to have the closing completed.

Issue: Fraud or scam

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, I sent a wire transfer to a company on the internet known as XXXX, with the internet domain name of XXXX, to get XXXX XXXX. They hold themselves out as a company that can provide XXXX XXXX in compliance with US Laws to countries all over the world. They have a U.S. Phone number, but I was never able to actually speak with anyone over the phone. The company is also known as XXXX XXXX , XXXX., located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX., XXXX XXXX, XXXX , XXXX . I realized I made an incorrect order, and XXXX indicated they did not have the medication I needed, and would have to source locally. However, they did not confirm that they would send me a refund, and I have now not heard from them in several weeks. It seems that this company is a scam. I found reviews of them online indicating that many other people have had issues not getting anything back from the company. My wire transfer was made via my U.S. Bank located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, WA XXXX. I tried to cancel the wire transfer within 30 minutes to get a full refund per U.S. Bank policy. However, when I called, the agent on the phone informed me that the branch manager would have to call to cancel the wire transfer. I then called the local branch and requested the branch manager call to cancel. He did not call to cancel within 30 minutes, so the wire went out. I called the company XXXX to cancel the transaction, and sent them several emails. I have not received my money back and do not think that I ever will.

Consumer Complaint: I filed complaint about this matter with case # XXXX. I received response from US bank. This response is not telling me anything about where the money is. It only explains the process. Only thing they mentioned is that they did not find any error. If there is no error, why recipient bank did not received the fund? Who will trace the money? I used US bank for this service and paid fee for it. Is it not their responsibility to trace and find where the money is? Do I have any right to know what happened to that transaction?

Consumer Complaint: US Bank is the lienholder of my car loan. For the better part of a year, US Bank has refused to deliver the title to my car to the state I relocated to. I have been in regular email communication on this matter and have already submitted a complaint that was " answered '' but not resolved. I received a citation for expired tags because I am unable to register my car with the state-to-state title transfer. My car payments have not stopped but my ability to sell my car or legally drive has been interfered with by the business practices of US Bank. US Bank has a system of communication that prevents any meaningful attempts at problem-solving. Employees are only allowed to send a set number of form emails and can not actually problem-solve for customers. After you have been writing to US Bank for more than 90 days, the email you have been corresponding with expires and your only choice is to start over.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited a $ XXXX check that was issued from the State of California on XX/XX/15. I always deposit my checks via the ATM and this was no different. I also deposited a workers comp settlement check for $ XXXX about a month prior with no issues or holds. I requested an email receipt which did not state anything about an excessive hold. A couple of days go by and I notice that they have not made any of the $ XXXX state check available to me. I contact the bank and they gave me reasons that don't make sense as I've never had any type of hold on any checks before. I told them this was a state check and funds will be there with no issues with it clearing. I also provided proof that this payment is legit and belongs to me. Proof from the state of California regarding approval for the $ XXXX workers comp voucher return to work fund as well as a copy of the check stub with the State of California information on it. That did not matter. Now my funds are on hold for almost 14 days. 12 days after I deposited them. They will not release funds from a STATE ISSUED CHECK until XX/XX/XXXX! This money is to help people who have been injured on the job to compensate for loss income. And US Bank wants to HOLD this money from me. I needed the money to help move. Unreal.
