Consumer Complaint: We Re-Financed our VA backed Mortgage Loan on XX/XX/2022 thru Meridian Bank in the XXXX $ XXXXwith a Fixed Rate of 3.125 % down from 3.75 % to lower our monthly payment from {$2400.00} monthly to {$2300.00}. That payment was set-up to include Principal payment of {$1700.00} Taxes of {$400.00} {$190.00} Hazard Insurance payment of for a total monthly payment principal and interest of {$2300.00} We recv'ed a letter in XXXX indicating that US Bank was now servicing our loan and that the payment total was now {$2500.00} monthly that is an increase of {$190.00} for something called a Shortage Spread. This is not something that we agreed to pay when we re-financed our home .Also, we never agreed to anything with US Bank especially something that would totally wipeout the gains we made when lowering our Int. rate from 3.75 % to 3.125 %. We checked with XXXX XXXX where our Home is located to find out/confirm that our Taxes have not gone up period. When I called US Bank to get an explanation I was told some generic answer from a call center person that ..those shortage projections are normal business practices. I logged into the US Bank acct. to pay the agreed upon amt of {$2300.00} only to find that I couldn't make that payment ..The only amt. I could pay online was the {$2500.00}. So, I mailed my payment of {$2300.00} ( cashier 's check ) along with the Mortgage Payment Coupon that I recv'ed when we closed on this VA Back Mortgage Loan in XXXX.

Issue: Unexpected or other fees
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I purchased a {$25.00} prepaid debit XXXX card that is valid through XX/XX/XXXX. I didn't make any purchases with it that I could find or recall or even verify. The balance on it today, XX/XX/XXXX is {$1.00}. I contacted the customer service number on the back of the card to get answers as to why my balance is {$1.00}. The customer service lady verified my information on my card, put me on hold and told me that she couldn't find any transactions made with the card and said that she didn't have any explanation for the extremely low balance of {$1.00}. She apologized and said that she could only go back 2 years to check for any purchases made. I had no way of knowing that the card would not be accurate 2 years after I purchased it especially considering that the expiration date on it clearly shows that it's valid through XX/XX/XXXX. Therefore I lost all of the money that I applied to the card including the fees and taxes when making the purchase just to find out that the card had been drained down to a useless account of money later. The customer service lady had no actual solution, apologized and said that there was nothing she could do to help.

Consumer Complaint: Totally unexpected I got letters from my bank, USBank, saying they were closing my three checking/savings accounts in 10 business days. The letters to me were delayed by the XX/XX/XXXX holiday such that once I got the letters I now only have 5 business days before the accounts are closed. I spent time on the phone and in person at my branch with Customer Service. They showed me the agreement which says they can close my accounts for any reason at any time. The thing is I have had these accounts and a relationship with USBank for over 25 years. And my credit score and financial history is exemplary. I am shocked and totally confused why they are doing this, and why they will not give me a reason for these actions.
