Consumer Complaint: well, I had a XXXX account on XXXX XXXX 2022 I mobile deposited. my payroll check of XXXX a lady by the name of XXXX XXXX stole it out my car an re cashed it on XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX piolet steel is my employer put a fraud case against the check so US Bank took it back out of our account at XXXX this has been going on since XX/XX/XXXX XXXX I had money in my XXXX account, but they locked it due to that > on the back of my husband 's payroll checked it stated deposit only for XXXX bank a US bank let her walk into XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank, and cash it again.it has messed up my life i couldn't get money out the bank at all they finally closed my account at XXXX. XXXX has done everything for me to help me try to solve it US bank I have spoken to XXXX XXXX numerous times everyone is giving me the run around XXXX my husband 's employer XXXX XXXX has a banker name XXXX that's downtown XXXX. the officer that did my case an XXXX have spoken to us bank an XXXX assumer about it the owner of XXXX XXXX no one wants to give our money back. my wife 's number that has been handling this is XXXX we have decided to get a lawyer involved now since US Bank is at fault we almost lost everything we had had to file debt consolidation. please I need all the help i can get.

Consumer Complaint: U.S. bank closed my checking account for two reasons, one check missing signature and one insufficient fund. I've proof that one of the two companies paid me the same amount by check and the other XXXX to my account later. In the process of contacting U.S. Bank, they told me they will hold my money for three years. U.S. bank found no proof of fraud, but they closed my account and hold my money anyway.

Consumer Complaint: I had a credit card with US Bank that was not used. I received a statement in the mail for an annual fee I was unaware of. However, by the time I received the statement the annual fee was two months late. I called US Bank and closed the account. The representative told me there was nothing she could do about the late payment reporting to the credit bureaus. If this was a card I used, I would have paid it in full monthly like the other cards I have. However, since I don't use the card and did not receive statements, I had no way of knowing an annual fee had been charged to me and that the annual fee was treated by US Bank like a charge I made on the card and therefore since payments that were apparently due but I was unaware of were not made, they reported a 30 day and a 60 day lateness to the credit bureaus. I called in and closed the account on XX/XX/23 and was told fees would be reversed and are not due. However MUCH more importantly is that I need the late reporting to the credit bureaus reversed. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and have never had a late reporting even once and I have high XXXX credit scores. It has been important to me to maintain excellent credit my entire life and I think US Bank needs to reverse their late payment reporting. Account number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Thank you!

Consumer Complaint: Dear Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, I am writing to you today in the hope that you can assist me with a matter involving US Bank. I have filed a complaint with US Bank regarding a closed account with a balance of {$11000.00} that has not been returned to me. This is the second time that I have filed a complaint regarding this issue. US Bank has not issued me a check for my funds, and as of today, the funds can not be returned to the lender because the account is in collections and has been sold to a debt collector. This delay is significantly affecting my credit score, and I have not received any resolution from US Bank. I am urging the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau to take action and enforce US Bank to send my funds in the form of a check as a matter of law. I have done everything in my power to resolve this issue with US Bank, and I am left with no other option but to seek your assistance. I kindly request that the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau intervene in this matter and ensure that US Bank fulfills their legal obligation to return my funds. Consumer Complaint: US Bank received my payment on XX/XX/23 and they are not posting it to may account until XX/XX/23, when my final payment is due. Though I have consistently paid early and on time, but now at the end of the lease, because I am purchasing the vehicle they won't post the payment they received and allow me to purchase the vehicle without extra fees because even though they have the funds due, they won't post the payment. I am not bankrupt, the payment has cleared my account. There is no reason to not post the payment and let me move on with my life without paying extra fees. Instead they want me to wait until after XX/XX/23 risk an interest rate increase, even though they have the money.

I never applied, opened or maintain a XXXX credit card, especially one with a {$500.00} credit limit and 29.9 % apr. I never received a physical card just this first statement in the mail which states I opened the card on XX/XX/23. I can also see a hard inquiry on my transunion credit report on XX/XX/23. I have called the XXXX card number customer service line XXXX and Elan financial services which is the bank associated with the card XXXX and they both want me to confirm my social security number, address, phone number, birth date, address and account number over the phone which I am not comfortable doing just to verify my account before having them look into fraud and stolen identity. They refuse to help further despite informing them I did not open an account with XXXX and wish to have it closed as soon as possible.

Issue: Problem with the payoff process at the end of the loan

Consumer Complaint: I received a CD secured loan with US Bank. They failed to match the loan maturity with the CD on purpose as when I tried to refinance to do so, I contacted 5 branches of the bank and each one stated after not knowing what a loan officer was that I would have to break the CD to refinance or get a new loan matching the original CD maturity. On a {$250000.00} loan secured by this a CD of equal amount, one branch said all they could loan me is {$100000.00} but I would have to break the CD before maturity to do the loan documentation. The next branch said that yes they could loan me the full amount of the CD but again I would have to break the CD and place in a new CD for a new CD number to be used in the loan processing. In all cituations, the plan is to steal the interest accumulated on the original CD with an early withdrawl penalty!!!!!!!! US Bank has been doing things like this for a long time and cost us on this transaction by having to finance with another Bank {$3500.00}. This is real money to me. US bank needs to be stopped. They need to hire people with financial degrees or education not form fillers who don't know what a loan officer is. After I did not accept the loan terms they suggested they sent letters of declination based on income with the one loan when I was never asked about income in our application or request. The other loan denile stated simular ridiculous and fabricated terms for denile. By the way the CD that was securing the debt had accumulated interest well over any payoff of the loan. How would I not have the income to pay if off. I think they should be penalized for the loss I have incurred and money given to me not the office of the comtroller or federal reserve.

Issue: Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23, U.S. Bank XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX ( NMLS # XXXX ) and I agreed on a suitable loan rate for a purchase for a new construction home at XXXX XXXX located at XXXX at XXXX XXXX in XXXX, CA. As it was a Saturday, XXXX XXXX indicated that she would have to lock in the rate on Monday, XX/XX/23 but would honor the agreed upon rate if rates increased and if they went lower, she would honor the lower rate. She subsequently requested the necessary documentation which included my Driver 's License. On XX/XX/23, I received an email from XXXX XXXX stating the rate had been locked. On XX/XX/23, XXXX XXXX sent me a Disclosure document for signature when I discovered the rate was incorrect and higher. For a week after that, XXXX XXXX ignored all requests I made to revise the loan rate. Throughout the process, I attempted to contact XXXX XXXX multiple times, engaging my realtor, Builder 's Reps, and XXXX XXXX 's assistant. On XX/XX/23, XXXX XXXX, after being reported, indicated that she'd make the revision. She did not and I reached out to a builder 's rep again who reported the behavior to a supervisor. On XX/XX/23, without apology or explanation, I received the revised document. Because of how uncomfortable XXXX XXXX 's behavior made me, I decided to terminate the contract and request an earnest money refund. Upon emailing a letter to that effect, a day later, I received a call from a builder 's rep that XXXX 's XXXX of XXXX and XXXX refused to return the earnest money. Without speaking to me, the customer, she relied upon a timeline of contact provided by XXXX XXXX even though I previously provided XXXX as well. XXXX XXXX neglected to include that she had locked me in to the wrong rate and that it remained that way for a total of 9 days until she was reported to a supervisor. None of the contingencies have been removed ( appraisal not reviewed/signed by me, received no inspection, and loan approval is conditional ) and yet, I'm still being denied my earnest money. I also indicated to XXXX XXXX that I felt XXXX XXXX 's behavior was discriminatory due to the fact that the incorrect loan was applied and her refusal to correct it after I submitted my identifying documentation to her. Reflecting on this brought me to a point where I was too uncomfortable to continue with the transaction. To my knowledge, U.S. Bank was never made aware of XXXX XXXX 's behavior. As my claim of XXXX XXXX 's unresponsiveness was questioned by XXXX XXXX, I provided screenshots showing my requests adding there was also a phone call made by my realtor to a builder 's rep urging XXXX XXXX to call me as well as text messages between my realtor, a builder 's rep, and myself regarding the situation.
