Consumer Complaint: Suntrust account transferred to Truist, called to close XXXX XXXX account. Agent instead messed up account, when the merger happen the debit card I received did not work. Escalated to XXXX XXXX, I closed account awaiting months for new working debit card. Account charged off XX/XX/XXXX, on my new truist account they recovered XXXX on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX due to the old account having returned item fees. No one including XXXX XXXX relations manager in XXXX NC or recovery dept can resolve this. Essentially the bank is taking money for me for an account that should have been closed, and has return fees only ( XXXXXXXX XXXX fees ).

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was bought and sold three times. I ended up at Truist which for some reason made making a mortgage payment nearly impossible. Truist is saying they have no record of receiving the form to reestablish the draft. That's exactly what I have been saying over and over ion my complaints. Truist FINALLY admitted they did not process payments. ON TOP of this my XXXX was XXXX of XXXX and Truist is running ads they care on the XXXX XXXX. Truist did not process payments and ALSO reported information to each credit bureau differently. I am really upset. Truist did not proceed payments and then ALSO reports the information inaccurately to the bureaus BUT says it's not the banks problem. The complaints I have filed get reviewed. Truist writes something erroneous on here and the complaint is closed. Truist finally admitted " We have no record of receiving the form to reestablish the draft. '' That's what I have been complaining about. The information reported to the bureaus is wrong.

Consumer Complaint: I am submitting a formal complaint regarding unfair and discriminatory treatment by Truist Bank against my small business. My company, XXXX XXXX XXXX, held a business checking account with Truist Bank since XX/XX/2023. After establishing a deposit account with Truist. I signed up for Truist Retail Lockbox services based on assurances from the VP of Treasury Management that setup would take 2-3 weeks. The lockbox services are crucial for efficient processing of the business 's customer payments. It has now been over 2 months since I initiated the setup for the Retail lockbox services, and despite countless phone calls, emails, and in-person visits to our local branch, Truist has failed to provide access to the promised lockbox services. I have spoken with several Truist representatives, including relationship manager at Treasury Management Services and VP of Treasury Management successor who have been unable to provide any update or timeframe for completion for the Retail lockbox. Their continued excuses and delays are unacceptable and negatively impacting my business operations. Most concerning, my business associate emailed the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2023 and I emailed Truist XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2023 detailing the poor service and lack of resolution. Within 48hrs of my business associate 's email to XXXX XXXX XXXX Truist closed his business account and mine without notice or any explanation. I believe this was direct retaliation for complaining rather than addressing the issue at hand. We contacted a local Truist branch manager to look into the situation, she contacted the individual who closed the accounts and they denied her an explanation or to provide her with any details on who authorized the closing of the accounts, which was suspicious according to her many years with the bank. Closing my deposit account without notice left me unable to move forward with projected plans and caused tremendous disruption to my business that has set me back 2 months. Despite their claims to help small business customers, Truists negligence and ignorance in handling my account services and account closure displays discrimination against my company. I made every effort to resolve matters directly with the bank before reaching out to you.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from Truist dated XX/XX/XXXX in which they still keep missing the point that a considerable amount of money was HACKED from my account around XX/XX/XXXX and very likely again around XX/XX/XXXX. I had documented this complaint under my previous, now hacked and closed email of XXXX. They miss the whole point of them ADMITTING my account was compromised, that they denied me since XXXX XXXX, XXXX up until XXXX to unlock my online banking to see how much money the hackers took ( one bank official actually speaking to their fraud dept. said " how much did they take? " ). They only give me partial statements for XXXX starting AFTER THE FRAUD ALERT FROM XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX ( copies previously emailed to CFPB ) and for XXXX starting on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, the day that approx. over {$45000.00}! Were electronically deposited from the sale of my house in XXXX FL. A week later {$6000.00} were added by the same company from the house sale for a total of at least {$51000.00}!. I had over {$8000.00} minimum on the day I had to replace the tire in XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX the same day a {$250.00} XXXX transacton was found to be a fraud alert. My car payment for just over {$1000.00} bounced as no funds by XXXX XXXX, XXXX. And they actually accessed me overdraft fees which they so kindly and " innocently '' reimbursed like if all the money that was taken out electronically by a hacker or very likely even one of their own employees or completely missed and definitely COVERED UP by THEM most likely due to failure to follow procedures or have a safe system! The money XXXX to XXXX XXXX ( one of the suspects of the hacking btw ) was for house improvement work that was never done and thus I requested the money be returned. BUT THAT IS WAY BESIDES THE POINT!!!! THE POINT IS THAT THEY KNOW MONEY WAS ILLEGALLY TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AND NOT PUT ON THE STATEMENTS, THAT THEY MOST LIKELY FALSIFIED THESE DOCUMENTS, THAT THEY NOW WONT GIVE ME THE FULL ACCOUNT NUMBER, AND THEY THINK I AM SOME SORT OF MORON!! HELLO!! I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX who took advanced calculus in college and went to private gifted children schools!!! And you dont need a rocket scientist to figure out that it is IMPOSSIBLE to have {$51000.00} and all be gone in less than XXXX months with the amount of money spent! Even after the car down payment ( {$14000.00} ) and the first, last and XXXX months deposit of a rental house ( {$9100.00} ) and the {$4000.00} for moving expenses. And the other {$2000.00} they keep talking about to avoid the REAL SUBJECT was a scam. But now I am even wondering if the scamming started as soon as closed on the house in XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. They referrence CFPB XXXX XXXX XXXX in their pitiful XX/XX/XXXX letter. I WILL GET A LAWYER AND SUE THEM!! Because all your agency does is agree with them and Close every case without contacting me first! So I will sue you too

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern : I XXXX XXXX am writing this letter on behalf of myself. In the month of XXXX, I opened an account with Truist Bank, with hopes of building a relationship. I made a deposit using one of the accounts I had with Truist for an amount of {$200000.00}, this amount was in the form of a check from the United States Department of Treasury, for the XXXX. Truist is telling me they are holding all of my funds, and that I need to contact the maker of the check in order to receive my funds. I just received a statement in the mail, and the present balance in the account is {$100000.00}. Truist in no way can prove that these funds do not belong to me. I spoke to several banking representatives of Truist and none of them can tell me the reason for holding the funds. I have shown all proof, as I opened my account inside the branch with the Vice president of Truist, as well as deposited my check. I have heard amazing things about Truist business products, as this was my initial reason for opening my account. Truist has shut down both of my accounts, but hasnt sent me any correspondence as to why, and when will my account be terminated, but somehow, XXXX cant access my funds, it has now been over 60 days and my money hasnt been flagged for fraud, etc. Truist is illegally holding my funds, and the department of Treasury said they havent received any funds from Truist. This is considered fraud and discrimination. I have waited almost a year for my XXXX funds to come, my business is still being affected because the funds I anticipated on receiving Truist are now holding, without any valid reason which isnt legal. I want my money released including the interest the account received from holding the funds. I still havent recieved any correspondence about account closure, so as of today XXXX the representative is stating the account is still open, and the notes say do not release, or unblock account. I also was able to record all conversations with permission

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX On XXXX XXXX this year, {$9500.00} disappeared from my Truist business account. Truist Bank fraudulently wired these funds out of my account they NEVER contacted me to verify that this was my transfer. The {$9500.00} simply disappeared without my knowledge and without my consent. I am desperately trying to get my money back! I have spoken to over 20 Truist employees, in-person and in my local bank. I emailed the CEO of Truist who promised he would look into this, but nothing has come of his promise. I visited my local branch with a lawyer who was told that the Truist Legal Department would call him they never did, and I can not continue to afford a lawyer to help me get my money back. ) In spite of all the conversations and emails with Truist employees, I have gotten no answers how this money left my account. The disappearance of my money has had a significant impact on me personally. I work very hard for what I earn, and this fraudulent transfer of my money has painfully impacted me and has also prohibited the growth and progress of my business. Would you please help me get to the bottom of this? I am desperately trying to get answers as well as simply get my money back from Truist. Thank you for time, attention, and care. Consumer Complaint: I have called several times this week. My original rep would not answer or return my voicemail. I was wanting to know about my direct deposit from my job that they took even though XXXX XXXX said they wouldn't that this would all be resolved as he saw my presented proof. Well my direct deposit hit XX/XX/23 and they kept it all.I was also told I didn't need to cancel my auto bill pay when I asked so I incurred more overdraft fees. I tried speaking to Claims again and was told they couldn't discuss with me as I filed a report with you.
