Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Unable to open an account
Consumer Complaint: I attempted to open an account with Truist Bank on XX/XX/24 once I submitted the application ( online ) it stated that my account was pending and the next day it stated that it was approved. There was nothing else stated that I needed to do so I assumed that I was just waiting on all my documents to come in the mail. Fast forward to today XX/XX/24 I decided to go inside the actual branch to get my documents so I can set up online banking and give one of my donors ( XXXX ) my account information. I was approached by one of the representative 's who was over the top friendly and patient. He guided me through every necessary step. Upon reviewing my account he mentioned that there was a note on the account that stated it was closed on XX/XX/24 due to fraud. Now I have several issues with this decision because one I have never participated in any type or form of fraud. I have not been to jail for any type of fraud. I am a known motivational speaker on behalf of my 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non-profit organization. In so many words I have a lot on my plate to lose for participating in any type of negative/illegal activity and would lose my recognition with the IRS as a non-profit. I feel as though I have been convicted and indicted of something less than my real character. The agent gave me a XXXX to the fraud department, I sat there and called them to get information on why and what was the reason this account was closed and why nobody ever notified me of this decision. The agent over the phone was not able to give me any information and quickly told me that I will receive a letter in the mail notifying me in details of why the decision was made. So I left the bank to check the XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX to make sure I wasn't a victim of fraud. There was nothing there to deny me any type of credit or account. I actually have a relationship with a few banks for a while now with no issues such as : personal loans, car loan, savings, checking, certificate of deposits. Coincidently the letter came today and it mentions nowhere on this letter of why I was denied an account with this bank. I feel as though at this point my character and integrity has been assassinated, humiliated and I am highly offended. I really was interested in building a relationship with this company thinking that they had some kind of integrity. Truist can not continue to break people down mentally that is an insult to people 's intelligence.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information is missing that should be on the report
Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of concern regarding the negative impact on my credit standing. This issue arose as a result of following the advice of a debt consolidation company, specifically the representatives of the Law offices of XXXX XXXX XXXX and associates. Upon seeking assistance from the debt consolidation company, I was advised not to make monthly credit card payments with the intention of allowing these accounts to close. The subsequent closure of these accounts has resulted in a significant decline in my credit scores. Furthermore, reputable financial institutions such as XXXX now have records of me being 90 days or more past due, despite my prior good standing. I would like to emphasize that prior to following the advice of the debt consolidation company, my credit accounts were in good standing, and I had a responsible track record of timely payments. The impact of this advice on my credit standing has been distressing and has caused significant inconvenience and concern. I have documentation and correspondence from the debt consolidation company, including details of the advice provided and the intended resolution through settlement with lower numbers on these accounts. I believe that this evidence supports my case and underscores the impact of the advice I received. I kindly request that you investigate this matter and make the necessary corrections to my credit report. I am committed to resolving this issue and restoring my credit standing to its previous favorable status. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am available to provide any additional information or documentation as required. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Following my complaint to you ( XXXX XXXX ), Truist Bank said they would deal with the issue and assigned my case to XXXX XXXX XXXX After several email chases she said she was no longer dealing with my case and it had been assigned to XXXX XXXX. Neither now answer my emails. I have tried for 12 months to close my account. I have sent a notarised letter and apostille to the address their client advocacy team provided but Truist continue to ignore all my correspondence. I note you have closed my case which I don't understand. I want to avoid appointing a lawyer to take formal action against Truist but I don't see any other option if you can't get them to act or respond.
