Consumer Complaint: Target has been having issues with the app lately and I was trying to get a old bank account removed off my credit card and unfortunately it didnt get removed and a payment of {$29.00} went through without my authorization on XX/XX/2021 and today it was returned by my old bank and I was charged another late payment fee of {$29.00} and I called target to see if they can get it waived and it unfortunately they cant do it for me and would put it in a dispute instead which it wont help at all since I have other two disputes open for over 90 days and I never got a credit for them and I would like for my fees to be waived one time I didnt want this payment of {$29.00} to go through and so target put it in dispute but they are unable to provide me a case number which is weird and they removed the {$49.00} dollar payment due which is also strange

Consumer Complaint: I filed a complaint against TD Retail for purposely being unhelpful when I was getting XXXX by their policies - I had made the apparently unforgivable mistake of paying a day early. In retaliation for complaining, they intentionally messed with my credit score. The useless, extremely unhelpful female I spoke to is obviously to blame as I told her how worried I was about my credit since I'm looking to buy my first home. After daring to pay a day early, my available line of credit was reduced from {$1200.00} to {$350.00} - just a little under how much I still owed making it so my credit report would show me being OVER my limit, therefore reducing my credit score even more than just a missed payment reported. That's when I complained via the phone. The female I spoke to was so useless I filed a complaint with this website. Then, this month when I went to make a payment my credit limit was further reduced to {$100.00} when I still owed about {$270.00}. That is a significant amount over my limit which caused my credit score to plummet. What other purpose would reducing my credit limit twice - to under what I owed both times - serve other than to punish me? How utterly petty and vindictive. My credit took such a big hit it'll be at least a year before I can even use my VA loan, which has lower standards than most.

Issue: Opening an account

Subissue: Didn't receive terms that were advertised

Consumer Complaint: Last year, I received a mailer from TD Bank that offered me a {$300.00} bonus if I opened a checking account and have {$2500.00} in direct deposits within 60 days. I read through all of the fine print. It starts by saying the offer " is available only to the person addressed in this mailer, '' and " Checking offer is not available to existing TD Bank checking Customers or prior Customers who have had a TD Bank personal checking relationship within the preceding 12 months. '' The mailer was sent in my name, and the last TD Bank checking account I had was closed in XX/XX/XXXX. I opened the new account on XX/XX/XXXX, so it was more than 12 months. Everything seemed like I was eligible for the offer. I completed the total of the {$2500.00} in direct deposits on XX/XX/XXXX, and waited the 140 days since account opening for the bonus to post like the mailer said, but nothing came. I reached out to TD Bank a few times and was advised, " Upon review, we found that you had previous checking account ending in XXXX which received a {$300.00} promotional bonus on XX/XX/XXXX. Please note, only one promotional bonus per customer can be applied. Promotional offers can not be combined with any other offer. '' TD Bank knew it had already paid me a bonus in the past when it made me the new offer. I find it very misleading that TD Bank would now say that I am not eligible for an offer it specifically made to me, especially after I went through meeting all of the requirements before being informed of my ineligibility.

Subissue: Account information incorrect

Consumer Complaint: I had a nearly 2 years of positive, paid on time credit report for Target credit card. I received bills on time and subsequently, I changed to paperless billing. I made a {$20.00} purchase in XX/XX/2018. I never received an emailed bill in XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/2018. It was coincidence that I discovered a delinquency on my credit report. XXXX online showed I was being charged for the {$20.00} and late payments. Not once in those 3 months did I EVER receive a bill in my email re : my accounts. I immediately called about the absence of bills, was given no explanation nor apology, so I then cancelled my card. I felt this was a fraudulent practice by Target in NOT making sure bills were emailed. Anyone can see that years of spotless credit use and payment, that 3 month 's past due is not reasonable nor usual, especially for -- -- {$20.00} -- -- balance.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing this petition due to a 30-day late payment for XX/XX/XXXX showing on my credit reports. Upon review of my records, I realize that I did indeed miss the payment deadline. However, it unfortunately appears that I did not receive a billing statement notification to alert me to a debt owed & due date ( which I was not aware of ). I take great pride with ensuring all my debt obligations are paid on time as your records will show I have had my account with Target since XXXX with perfect, on time payments up until this missed billing. I am in the process of applying for a home loan and the negative impact of the late payment could result in a denial of my loan due to the XXXX FICO point drop to my scores since the missed payment was reported to the bureaus. I am requesting ( begging XXXX a goodwill adjustment to remove the XX/XX/XXXX 30-day late payment from my XXXX XXXX and XXXX credit reports as the correction will allow me to proceed with the home loan for my family. Given the global pandemic of XXXX and the ramifications of that, it is my hope that Target will have empathy at this time and restore my good credit standing with the bureaus.

Issue: Managing an account

Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 my XXXX year old grandson was looking in my phone and had mistakenly made a purchase at XXXX for the sum of {$330.00}. We were dining out at XXXX XXXX XXXX 's Restaurant. After I had gave my debit card to the waiter I look into my phone and went online to my bank account to see how much they had charged me for the dinner when I notice that I was in the negative for - {$220.00}. I then went down the list of items to see how and what was ordered when i noticed that my grandson had ordered {$330.00} worth of toys I immediately left XXXX XXXX XXXX and went to call XXXX to cancel the order I spoke to a representative and was told that the order had been canceled and that I would be receiving a email wihin 24 to 48 hours. The next day XX/XX/2021 I had recieved the email but the money was still not put back into my checking account I then called XXXX and TD bank and had spoken to both representatives and the TD Bank representative had canceled out the card that the order was made from because I had not given XXXX permisssion to keep my account on file and they did so any ways. the representative from TD bank told me that my funds would be put back in my account no later than Friday XX/XX/2021 and due to the matter of the case that as long as XXXX releases the money I would not be charged a fee. because I was over drawn for the sum of {$220.00} and I had taken {$400.00} from my saving and put it into my checkin to cover the balance of the over drawn fee. So friday comes and still my moneys had not been put back into my account so I called TD bank when a representative told me that the money was to be released on the XXXX of XX/XX/2021 and would be available on that following monday. So on that Saturday I went and check my account and {$170.00} was put back into my account but the overdraft fees were still there so I called again to TD bank and the representative put the over draft fees back. On XX/XX/2021 I went to check my bank account and see if the remainder had been put back and I see that I was overdrawn {$310.00}. I call TD bank and then I went into the XXXX, MA branch with XXXX on the phone and soon as I hung up from XXXX all XXXX bioke lose they started saying that the money was put back and they did not know about the {$170.00} because I screen shot everything and I had XXXX send me confirmation of the transaction. On the evidence that I have given to you you can see that all the transactions tha TD bank did are suspect because it doea not show the true factor and I ant my money back I can show that this is not the first time they have done this even back in XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX With XXXX XXXX I was suppose to get a return and I did not I have the email but the transaction does not show up on my banking account as a purchase or a return the same with XXXX XXXX I have the receipt for the transaction and refund but it does not show up on my bank statement This has gone on too long and something needs to be done

Issue: Managing the loan or lease

Subissue: Problem with fees charged

Consumer Complaint: I bought a new car from XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY on XX/XX/XXXX. Financing for the loan on the vehicle was set up through TD Auto Finance. Payments were set at {$420.00} per month on the 10th of each month for a total of 75 payments that concluded on XX/XX/XXXX. I signed up for paperless billing and auto deduct from our bank account for payments. Contact was to be through my email account. Payments were started on XX/XX/XXXX. Payments were continued until XX/XX/XXXX where 2 payments were made. No payment was taken on XX/XX/XXXX. The next payment was taken on XX/XX/XXXX. Then no payment was taken on XX/XX/XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX a late fee of {$21.00} was charged to my account as we were now in arrears by 1 payment. I was unaware that we were now in arrears. Moving forward from that date our payment was taken out on the XXXX of each month except on a Sunday where it was taken out on the 9th. However with our account in arrears by 1 payment, we were charged an amount of {$21.00} each month. In early XX/XX/XXXX i logged onto my account, as the contract was concluding in XX/XX/XXXX, to find that whilst i had paid every payment except that payment on XX/XX/XXXX, i had been charged {$21.00} each month for the lack of that 1 payment. This had now accumulated to an amount of {$1300.00}. At no point in the 5 years and 2 months that my account had been in arrears had TD Auto finance contacted me to point out that i had an outstanding amount on my account and to ask how i was going to fix it either by email or regular mail. I have credit cards, have had personal loans and other financing options. If i have ever been behind the company has promptly contacted me to advise that an amount was outstanding and how i was to correct the imbalance. After discussing the issue with my wife we paid the outstanding fines which had now grown to {$1300.00} and the outstanding payment of {$420.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I feel that TD Auto Finance intentionally did not contact me to allow the penalty to continue growing over the 5 years. If they had contacted me i would have paid of the outstanding amount. I fail to understand how it is ethical for a finance company to allow this to happen. If i did not make a credit card payment for 5 years i am sure i would have heard something much sooner. Furthermore on XX/XX/XXXX we paid the final three payments of {$1200.00}, for XXXX, XXXX and XXXX of XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX we received a paper statement with an outstanding balance of {$89.00}. When i called on XX/XX/XXXX i was not able to get any reason of why this amount was due, even though i had paid all 75 payments of {$420.00} and paid all of the {$1300.00} in penalties. After speaking with a supervisor this amount was waived.
