Consumer Complaint: TD Auto finance employee XXXX # XXXX, during a monitored call with me exhibited extremely rude and reprehensible, unprofessional conduct. She also violated company policy by refusing me the right to speak with her superior, after I asked for a supervisor several times. Instead she opted to argue with a customer/myself! XXXX XXXX held a lengthy conversation with me regarding my account, once I expressed my desire to speak with a supervisor she then opted to inform me that per td auto finance policy she was not allowed to speak with me regarding my account and Id need to contact the third party thats representing TD Auto, to settle my account. Interestingly, XXXX violated company policy long before attempting to use policy as a means of retaliation for me requesting a supervisor. It was fine for her to discuss my account initially but when I want satisfied with the information she had given me and requested a supervisor, then suddenly she couldnt discuss my account. Also, she placed me on hold to contact a supervisor only to return and tell me that her mysterious supervisor said it was against policy to speak to me. I asked for that supervisor name etc. only for XXXX to tell me that she was not allowed to share that information. Which again was a blatant lie. Nevertheless, by her own admission she violated company policy which warrants disciplinary actions aside from her poor customer service.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/, I made a purchase of {$540.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX The two pieces of furniture were not picked up until XX/XX/2023. The manager, XXXX, advised me to leave the bar there to be repaired. The bar was not repaired in the store as promised so a refund of {$170.00} was given but never received by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX which are affiliated, one and the same. The recliner chair was defective, the date of purchase of the furniture was listed as XX/XX/2023 and that is not true. Also the discounts on my invoice were twice what was actually given to me. Thus, XXXX XXXX agreed via email to reimburse the entire {$540.00} for me to have a XXXX balance. XXXX XXXX claimed this had been done but I was still charged a late fee of {$29.00} even though XXXX XXXX sent emails stating the account would be refunded in full and even though I had disputed the entire amount with XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have sent the copy of emails stating the balance would be paid in full and the account would be XXXX. It is my understanding that XXXX XXXX is being sued in the State of Florida for the same complaints that I am filing now. The legal action is being taken by the Attorney General in the State of California for what appears to be similar corruption.

Consumer Complaint: I have been in touch repeatedly with TD Auto Finance in an effort to take over my sister 's loan and obtain title to her vehicle so that I can sell it to the dealer. My sister passed away on XX/XX/2023 and left her car at the dealership. It's been sitting there ever since. They are interested in buying the car but require that it be titled in my name and are threatening to have the car towed and impounded. Once I obtained a death certificate ( XXXX months after my sister 's passing ), I submitted it to TD Auto Finance and began discussions with them. They alleged that they would send me documents for a Transfer of Equity, so I can take over the loan and title, but nothing arrived. They have repeatedly promised and nothing happens. I've been talking with XXXX XXXX XXXX at TD Auto Finance. The number I have for his office is XXXX. I am distraught over the loss of my sister and further upset by how hard it's been to deal with her affairs. I could really use some help but don't know who to appeal to. I would greatly appreciate any assistance that the CFPB could provide me in this situation. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I have a $ XXXX HELOC with TD Bank and borrowed $ XXXX against it for appromixately 1.5 months. I paid {$150.00} of interest when I paid back the principal and was susequently billed for an additional {$130.00} of 'residual interest ' and dunned repeatedly by staff for late balance. Nowhere in the online transaction history is there an accounting of how interest is posted or calculated so that I can determine if it is an appropriate amount to be charged before paying. The interest owed is not posted on online transaction history. Together these interest amounts seem high relative to the period the principal balance is outstanding. And without these details posted the customer has no transparency to determine the fairness. I have no ability to determine if they are charging me for amounts in excess of the time period for which the principal balance was outstanding or using some other deceptive practice to create a higher than 8.7 % effective APR. I am now waiting for a " payoff statement '' to come in the mail, so that I can determine how this additional interest is calculated before paying. TD says they are unable to email me this information. And as previously mentioned, it is not available in the online transaction history. When speaking to the customer service rep she acknowledged that there has been a lot of " complaints '' about this. It doesn't seem reasonable that a product can go to market that assesses interest without clear and transparent methods posted in the online transaction history. Especially coupled with aggressive collection methods, posting of late charges, and written notices that they will report delinquencies to credit bureaus.
