Consumer Complaint: I wrote a monthly rent check on XX/XX/2021 that was lost in the mail. I called to stop the check with my bank, XXXX, but on XX/XX/2021, the I see that the check I wrote on XX/XX/2021 was deposited by a person I did not recognize, for an amount I did not recognize. The person must have stolen my check out of the mail, changed the date, the amount, and added his name to the payee line. I have already filed a complaint against my bank, XXXX, and are currently working with them to hopefully resolve the issue. However, when this person changed the amount on my check, he changed it from {$3700.00} to {$13000.00}, but only managed to change the original " XXXX XXXX '' to " XXXX XXXXXXXX. '' Despite his grave misspelling that should have immediately been suspect, TD bank still accepted and deposited the check. While I do not know the address of the TD Bank branch that accepted this washed check, I know that the return location routing number is : XXXX XXXX XXXX, and that it is located in downtown Flushing. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I received XXXX packages in the mail from TD Bank. I opened XXXX packages and inside were XXXX separate checking accounts that were opened in my name at TD Bank. This was fraud because although my name was accurate, the phone number listed on the checks was not. I never opened these accounts. I reported it to " XXXX '' in the fraud department at TD Bank and he told me to contact the FTC and the SSA. I have already frozen my credit reporting agencies. I have never had an account at TD Bank.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/22, I received an identity verification transaction alert from my XXXX monitoring service. I called XXXX who then told me that fraudulent bank accounts were opened in my name with TD bank. I called the TD Bank Fraud line to alert them of the fraud. They told me they closed the accounts. I contacted the FTC to file an identity theft report. As a part of the identity theft recovery process, I requested a letter from TD Bank to state the following : the fraudulent account was not mine, I am not liable for the account, and it was removed from my credit report. They denied my request for this letter even though I went in person with all my identifiable information and IDs. In accordance with section 609 ( e ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. 1681g ( e ), I am requesting that they provide me with copies of business records relating to the fraudulent account identified above. The law directs that they provide these documents at no charge and without requiring a subpoena, within 30 days of receipt of my request. Without the above mentioned information, I am unable to file a police report without the evidence of fraud that they have in TD Bank system due to TD " bank policy ''. They are actually breaking the law by not giving me this information. I need the police report to report this to SSA and the FTC.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from TD Bank stating an application for a credit card was submitted under my name but that they required more information for the application, however I NEVER submitted an application for a TD Bank credit card. I called the XXXX number on the letter and eventually spoke with a provider rep who demanded my full social security number in order to investigate the application. I refused to give my SS # and asked that the application be identified by my name, date of birth, address, etc. as my social security number is private. The customer rep said that unless I provided my SS #, she could not help me. I informed her that disclosing my SS # is how identity theft starts in the first place.

Consumer Complaint: I've been struggling with my target red card for years now, XXXX I took a loan to pay them off finally 270 and they are now saying that the 15 dollar amount that I closed my checking because of the amount of trouble they have caused me and that account. Prompting me to pay the balance. So because I paid it. They are trying to get over the paid and owed balance. They are saying that I owe them 44 for a canceled check. They were not able to get a dime more than the 270 I've owed for years. Not only did they have the account closed 2 years ago and mess up my credit history and numbers 70 points at least all together. They have reported 2 late payments to the bureaus and XXXX after I paid the bill to 0 I got hit from each credit bureau saying that they were in agreement with the balance paid off and 0 liability that we had any more business to do not only this after I paid it off I called Target and confirmed this with them they said no no yep you're good you have a zero balance and now they're coming up with this I want to sue them so bad please look into this

Consumer Complaint: This is a complaint against TD BANK, specifically the fraud, claim and resolution department, the bank without notifying me made the decision to block my accounts and then close them, because I made a transfer of {$10000.00} from my business account to my personal account with TD BANK, in less than 24 hours the bank decided to block my funds arbitrarily without any kind of explanation, I think it is an abuse of authority and disrespect against me, because if I am the owner of the account and I want to know why they do not want to give me the funds that belong to me, I can understand that those funds the bank refunded me for a fraud that they made me online with purchases in cryptocurrencies that were not made by me and the bank put me a temporary credit for me to use, but I don't understand why they put and then blocked me without any explanation, now they blocked my account and left me without money, they are my savings, I don't have to pay rent, I don't have to pay utilities, I don't have to pay for food, they left me practically in XXXXhe street, I am on the verge of madness economically and with a resolution for 90 days, I feel and believe that the bank is stealing my savings and money I think, because 90 days is too long and as I live in those 90 days how do I get for my food, my rent, utilities, help my daughter, they left me like a pauper and more in these strong times of pandemic, they are abusers and disrespectful for these hard times and make me wait seriously 90 days? It seems to me an abuse and lack of everything. I have gone 2 times to the bank to try to solve this huge problem and the workers do not even pay attention to me, which is very serious for me, I have a XXXX XXXX XXXX girl and I do not know what to do, since they do not pay attention to me at the bank and do not want to help me with my big problem, I had to go to this organization that helps and protects the consumer because for me it is a serious problem, because it is about my economic and emotional stability of me and my family, I think that TD BANK is handling this problem in a very rude way, how can they give me 90 days to solve this? They don't care because they have a lot of money and they are millionaires, they don't pay attention to the people, it must be that the investigator of the case has no family to put me this big obstacle with my problem, he has no scruple, he doesn't care to play with the single mother and as the bank has the power he plays with the people 's money.
