Consumer Complaint: The loan was taken over twice. They emptied an escrow account that should never have existed and refused to apply it to the balance of the loan. I made a re payment arrangement to pay additional money and it is now showing as a monthly payment. They REFUSE to do a forensic and give me the amount that I have paid over the course of the loan because they know it will implicate them. Im a XXXX who struggled to make sure my children had a home. Im a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and would like to be able to demonstrate to my XXXX that we live in a country that gives you recourse if you have been wronged by a predatory lender. Please help.

On XX/XX/2022 Regular payment in amount of {$1800.00} and additional payment of {$6500.00} as principal reduction was debited from my Bank totaling {$8400.00}. When I received XXXX statement amount of {$1800.00} was posted as regular payment only. On XX/XX/XXXX I called NEW REZ customer service asking why additional principal payment is not reflected on my mortgage statement and Customer service representative said that they do not have any information about any additional funds which I have made and they have dismissed my inquiry. This is not a first occurrence with DITECH perhaps such conduct put that company into the bankruptcy few years ago. NEW REZ is on the same path. What happened to {$6500.00}?

I have never missed a payment with XXXX and my escrow was always in the positive. I just received my first bill from New Residential and my mortgage payment increased from XXXX to XXXX with no explanation why. The payment is due in less than two weeks. I contacted New Residential and asked why there was a significant increase. They advised that XXXX and made a mistake and wasn't billing me properly and that I owed a significant amount of money to escrow. They were unable to provide me with exact numbers but said that i should receive an analysis in the mail within 7 days. They also stated that I am responsible for these errors made on XXXX 's behalf. I can not afford this payment moving forward and will most likely go into foreclosure due to this significant increase. They are stating that my monthly escrow payment is approximately now going to be {$1000.00}. My homeowners is is {$3500.00} a year Town Taxes are {$1900.00} a year School Taxes are {$2700.00} a year This comes out to {$8200.00} a year {$680.00} a month.

Today i received a letter from shellpoint stating my payment was withdrawn on XX/XX/XXXX and returned on XX/XX/XXXX this is also reflected on my online shellpoint account but is not accurate. My payment that was scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX was not processed at all until XX/XX/XXXX and it was never returned. the funds were available in the account and withdrawn and never were returned to the account. this entire transfer of my mortgage has been a nightmare i was never notified until i filed complaint and now my funds have been withdrawn but are showing returned. the have been dishonest when we were notified about the bank account i was using not being valid. now my money was withdrawn but showing returned. i have attached a picture of the withdrawal from my account on XX/XX/XXXX showing the funds available and taken

Consumer Complaint: I participated in the government sponsored Covid Forbearance program due to lack of work and struggle to pay mortgage. The lender offered solutions to pay back the monies owed once the Covid program was over - Modification, Deferment & paying back arrears. Now that the program is over they are demanding payment of everything owed and will not allow me a modification nor a deferment. They are sending me confusing letters and will not work with me to achieve a reasonable solution to keep my home. I have owned my home since XXXX and have always been able to work with my previous lenders if there were any issues making payments. My mortgage was sold to my current lender almost a year ago and since that time I've received misinformation, lack of communication and refusal to assist with my issues as a borrower. I also filed a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX when they reported my account to the credit bureau claiming I didn't make payment when in fact I was in the Forbearance program and their terms stipulated it would not be reported.

Consumer Complaint: My wife and I applied for a XXXX XXXX XXXX with New Rez on or around XX/XX/2022. We promptly submitted all documents and paid the appraisal and credit score fee. After multiple delays and the need to restructure the loan several times on New Rez 's end we were offered a closing amount of approx {$37000.00} to get the loan approved with our debt to income ratio. This was about {$60000.00} LESS than what we were initially approved for. We accepted the amount and were cleared to close by New Rez. The morning of closing, the notary did not show up. Neither our processor or anyone involved at New Rez answered our calls. We had made schedule adjustments with work to accommodate the closing. The loan officer at New Rez ( XXXX XXXX ) called me and explained that the loan was denied at the last minute due to our debt to income being to high, the loan amount, and the fact that our investment property against which the loan was secured was paid off. New Rez has fraudulently claimed that our debt to income is too high after we received the clear to close from processor F. D__z on a recorded line and it was reviewed multiple times by underwriting. This is unacceptable especially given the long history of on-time payments we've maintained with New Rez. I read this as discriminatory against clients who do not offer the most lucrative payoffs New Rez desires. New Rez has determined that it is not profitable to lend us a mere {$40000.00} for the following reasons : We have paid off the investment property against which the refinance is to be secured in less than a year We are being offered a lower loan amount due to our DTI which will not offer much of a return in interest We have made significant headway in our primary mortgage which is also with New Rez. This low loan of XXXX ties up funds in your available capital pipeline Therefore New Rez has determined it is not profitable to lend us a mere XXXX which can be quickly paid off. All this while greedily taking appraisal and credit score fees during these difficult economic times and not even having the courtesy to notify us that -- contrary to what we were told -- the closing was not going to happen. This is another example of a big company taking advantage of consumers.
