Consumer Complaint: Called in the last week of XX/XX/XXXX to close an account. Was told I can't unless it was XXXX. Was told that final balance checks are not mailed. Transferred money out to XXXX the account. A {$12.00} fee was applied when my account balance dropped. Called again to close, was told they can't close or attempt to dismiss the fee because it was pending. Called again on XX/XX/XXXX after the charge posted and was told they won't dismiss the fee because it followed the rules. Also told I can't close the account.

Consumer Complaint: I made a deposit in the amount of {$1100.00} dollar on XX/XX/XXXX that was supposed to be put into my Savings account. I filled a deposit slip out and informed the teller that I did not know my account number. I received notification of account activity and proceed to find that funds were missing from my Reserve account with PNC. After further investigation, I found that the writing on the deposit slip with account number were not my own hand-writing. The teller took the liberty to fill out the deposit slip account number without my consent and put the amount into the incorrect account. Resulting in the amount being placed into my checking account without my knowledge. I contacted PNC Corporate on XX/XX/XXXX, when the issue came to my attention. I spoke with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX in the retail relations. They informed me that issue would be risen to the branch manager and the teller would receive coaching. I do not feel that this is satisfactory.

Consumer Complaint: When I opened up my PNC business checking account I was enrolled in the following promotion : Earn {$300.00} with a business checking plus account when you complete the following requirements : Maintain the minimum average cycle balance of {$5000.00} for each of the first 3 statement cycles Make at least 10 total qualifying PNC Bank Visa Debit Card transactions and/or PNC Bank Mobile Check Deposits [ 3 ] within the first three statement cycles ============================================================== However I have not received the {$300.00} after 4 statement cycles. Upon inquiry, PNC rep stated because the first month ( in which I opened the account ) I did not have {$5000.00}, I did not qualify. It is unreasonable to assume that customer would have the {$5000.00} balance when the first statement closes right after opening and I have to set up direct deposit and ACH.

Consumer Complaint: I opened an IRA account in XX/XX/XXXX with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which was located in XXXX XXXX, FL. According to my research, XXXX XXXX merged into XXXX XXXX Bank in XX/XX/XXXX, which later merged into or was acquired by PNC Bank National Association in XX/XX/XXXX. While reviewing some old tax records this weekend, I found an IRA Account Statement from XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX. At that time the balance in the account was {$28000.00}. I have no other more recent records and never received a distribution from this account. PNC says it has no record of the subject account or my name as an account holder. I have talked to PNC, the Florida Dept of Financial Services ( escheat dept ), the FDIC and the OCC. My husband and I have lived on social security for over 20 years and are in poor health. Recovery of the lost IRA funds would be a XXXX sent blessing to us. Someone some where has to have record of what happened to this account, including while located at XXXX XXXX, as well as after it was acquired by XXXX XXXX and again when it was acquired by PNC. Where are my IRA funds now? I am praying that CFPB can help us.

Issue: Struggling to pay mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: PNC services a mortgage on a property that is being sold through a short sale. The house has been listed for sale sinceXX/XX/XXXX, starting at {$450000.00}, and incrementally lowered until we started to get showings, at a price of {$390000.00}. OnXX/XX/XXXX, PNC had an appraisal done on the property. It came in too high, but PNC will not consider any offers unless they are equal to the XX/XX/XXXX appraisal amount. I sent evidence of issues with the property, poor layout, across from a major highway, cell tower facing the backyard of the property, to no avail. We have had 29 showings on the house since it was listed, and received one offer, on XX/XX/XXXX of {$350000.00}. PNC rejected the {$350000.00} and countered at {$420000.00}.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have tried repeatedly to get PNC Mortgage to report correctly on both my mine and my husband 's credit reports. We had to file chapterXXXX bankruptcy in XX/XX/XXXX. We put the past due balance in the bankruptcy, but we continued to pay the current mortgage directly to PNC during the 5 years of the bankruptcy. We made consistent, on time payments the whole 5 to date. They reported the account closed during the 5 years. After discharge in XX/XX/XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX they still showed our account closed. I disputed it, because the account was never closed. They said they showed it closed because of the bankruptcy. They corrected that and now it shows the account opened, but they still refuse to show payment history prior to discharge. They made sure to put the past due payments on there prior to filing bankruptcy. This is still effecting our credit negatively on top of the bankruptcy itself. We are trying to move forward and have worked hard to repair our credit these past 5 years, establishing an impeccable payment history, but they are continuing to punish us, by not acknowledging it on our credit reports. Please HELP!

Issue: Trouble during payment process
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: Our mortgage was sold to PNC Bank, who then, without notice, raised our mortgage payment for no reason. There was no notice sent to us aside from the bank sending payment coupons with the wrong payment amount on them. Luckily, this amount is an amount we can pay, but it is wrong and illegal to change a contracted payment amount without any notice or explanation from the bank. The bank has since backtracked and said we can pay the old amount, but still this is either extreme incompetence or something worse.

Issue: Struggling to pay mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: PNC Mortgage offered a forbearance plan to me due to Hurricane Irma and at the time of acceptance they stated I could easily do a loan deferment or loan modification at the end of the term. With that said they would not discuss my options or evaluate my mortgage until the forbearance was over and the loan was in default. Upon default they explained that the deferment was not an option and the modification would take months to approve if it was even approved at all. I faxed in the loan modification paperwork twice ( I have the sent receipts ) although each time they stated they did not receive it but it could be still in the process of uploading into their system which takes a minimum of 3 days. On XX/XX/18 their collections department called demanding the money and stated as long as I made the payment that day I would not be reported to the credit bureaus so I reluctantly made the payment in full and the very next day my credit dropped 118 points. Upon filing a complaint with PNC bank their complaint department stated to me that there is absolutely nothing that can be done and that they report to the credit bureaus on the XXXX of each month. The collections department representatives each and every conversation refused to tell me when they report to credit bureaus. I feel like I was taken advantage of. Nothing was ever signed. They are refusing to send me the " so called '' recorded conversations. They ruined my credit and are refusing to allow me to refinance when I have over $ 200k in equity in the house so they can keep charging me for mortgage insurance. They deceived me and I'm sure they have ruined plenty of natural disaster victims lives due to their process. All I want is for them to help fix my credit and allow me to refinance in order to remove my co-signer as she does not participate any more. Additionally, I had to use every penny I had in my savings to pay the 6 months of forbearance so it would be nice if they could return that to me and defer the missed months to the end of the mortgage or something.
