Consumer Complaint: My bank charged my account an overdraft fee, which I believe I did. But they are saying on the same day, I incurred another overdraft fee on another purchase. But I did not. I was constantly checking my account that day as I was XXXX shopping online, and it kept showing what purchases had cleared my account. One showed cleared on the XXXX, but was not processed through them till the XXXX, so in fact, they held the process, that had already showed cleared my bank, and posted it at the moment my bank was overdrafted-which of course caused another overdraft fee. I immediately deposited enough to cover the fees my bank charged me. So yesterday my account showed positive XXXX dollars, and this morning it shows they processed another item to show the process date-again at the time I was overdrafted. It is like they chose the exact time, I was overdraft to process XXXX items, when I saw those items had cleared days before, now it shows those same items clearing on the exact date I overdrafted by XXXX dollars. So that XXXX dollars has now costs me XXXX overdraft fees of XXXX {$110.00}, for one overdraft. My complaint is, I did not make further purchases starting on the XXXX, until I saw they came through my acccount. So it comes through my account, but then they formally process it at the time I was overdrafted. I can not believe they can do this. yesterday I looked at my account and saw a XXXX purchase was posted on the XXXX. Now that same purchase has a post date of the XXXX. I put XXXX dollars in my account on the XXXX to cover my overdraft. They posted that same purchase again posted on the XXXX, the day I overdrafted, which gave them the right to charge me a fee again. They are clearing things one day, then moving it and posting it another day to suit them. I check my account everyday. Yesterday I was positive, this morning I have another overdraft fee????? Because they again moved another post date.of purchases. I asked them to remove the last fee, as it absolutely was not overdrafted, they told me they could only remove one fee a year. What??? The fee they charged last time, was also their fault. Can they keep clearing and then re-posting purchases to cause overdraft fees, and then say, well sorry we have already removed one this year. I am a single mom, and every penny is important to me, and now they have made an XXXX dollar mistake, into XXXX cost to me.

Consumer Complaint: Key Bank bought out first Niagara, where my car loan was held. Checked Key Bank account, no pending debits, so I paid my {$440.00} car payment on XXXX. They autodebited {$440.00} that same day. Called 2 days later on XXXX : horrible customer service, said they would call me back when someone who could reverse charge was available. Never called back. I called them on Monday XXXX. Staff person was knowledgeable, but said I might not see the amount come back until XXXX/XXXX/16. Seemed like a long time to wait, but fine. Today, XXXX/XXXX/16 -- no money credited to my account. Called Key Bank. Was put on hold for 35 minutes ( the recording warned of 3-6 minute waits ). Was told that because I do not have a Key Bank checking account they have to mail a check, which they will do on Monday. This is a long time to wait, and I did n't get the same answer out of any XXXX people. I 'm still not convinced I will receive a check next week. Nowhere on my account can I see that auto debit is set up, but the woman on the phone assured me it was.

THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAD TO GO TO A KEY BANK BRANCH WITH CASH OR WIRE IT TO KEY BANK USING A XXXX XXXX WIRE. IT TOOK THEM OVER 20 DAYS TO PROCESS THE CASH WIRE HOLDING UP MY SONS COLLEGE LOAN UNTIL I COULD GET CONFERMATION THAT THE LOAN WAS UP TO DATE. I HAVE HAD THE LOAN FOR OVER TEN YEARS. ALSO THERE ARE NO LONGER ANY KEY BANK LOCATION IN THE ENTIRE STATE OF XXXX. EVERY MONTH I HAVE TO CALL A KEY BANK BRANCH MANAGER IN XXXX AND HAVE HIM LOOK UP MY ACCOUNT AND EMAIL ME A STATEMENT BECAUSE KEY BANK STILL REFUSES TO SEND ME A MONTHLY STATEMENT. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS DONE ON PURPOSE TO INCREASE LATE FEES FOR THE BANKS. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS PREDITORY LENDING AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED.

Consumer Complaint: KeyBank purchased my former mortgage holder, First Niagara Bank. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a mortgage analysis from KeyBank advising that they needed to collect a sum for taxes and insurance that was four times the amount needed to satisfy the actual amounts. Clearly an error. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and was told I 'd receive a call back that never happened. On XX/XX/XXXX, my new mortgage statement arrived and still contained the erroneous data. I called the number on the statement and spoke to a very nice lady in XXXX, XXXX who was taking calls for KeyBank. She said she 'd have someone call me. Never got a call. On Thursday XX/XX/XXXX, I called KeyBank mortgage services and spoke to a person who said a supervisor would return my call by end of day. Never got a call. Bottom line ... my taxes and insurance total cost is about {$1100.00} for a year. The KeyBank statement shows that they want to collect {$3600.00} for the year. I ca n't get anyone at KeyBank to return a call, so I have no recourse but to try and get action in some other way.

Consumer Complaint: I have had a number of problems with my private loan from Key Bank. They principally deal with the difficulty in getting a forbearance for what I believe to be legitimate reasons. First, when I called them asking about a forbearance they said that my loan did not qualify for a forbearance. But when I looked at my promissory note it said that a forbearance is possible, but at the bank 's option. I believe there is distinction between not being qualified for a forbearance and them looking at my case and rejecting it. When I asked ( after several calls to their customer support ) if there are any options besides a forbearance they said that they have a suspension of payment program that I would have to apply for and then the " work-out team '' would decide if I was eligible. I asked for a six month suspension of payment ( but I was willing to shorten the duration ) because I had to take a leave of from work ( from a company that I co-own ) in order to go home and take care of my dad who was recently XXXX. After talking to numerous customer service reps and managers, I was finally told by a manager that they did not consider me taking care of my XXXX father as an emergency situation that qualified for any assistance at all. Additionally, when I recently finished XXXX in XXXX I started making payments on my loan in XXXX - which seems like an incredibly short grace period. Further, when I called their customer service to see if I could postpone or lower my monthly payment so I could have time to get a job ( all I would need is three months ) in order to even consider a decrease in monthly payments much less postponing them, they said that I needed a job offer with an exact start date. I found this odd because I was looking work and could start immediately, so if I had a job in hand, why would I ask for a postponement because I was looking for a job? In general I found the customer service incredibly rude and insensitive. One representative even asked me if I really had to be there with my dad when he was XXXX of XXXX. I have other student loans ( although this is the only private loan ) and they all have been incredibly helpful and easy to deal with. I believe that Key Bank represents among the worst in the student loan business.
