Consumer Complaint: I bought my home in XXXX. I had a hardship and had to modify my loan in XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX i refinanced. XX/XX/XXXX HUD sent a letter saying i owe them {$30000.00}. I contacted Freedom Mortgage and they said the title company ( XXXX XXXXXXXX ) was at fault. So i contacted the title company and they pointed the finger at the mortgage company. Ultimately the mortgage companys insurance rep contacted me and stated Im at fault and i need to pay. I had no idea until HUD contacted me that there was an issue. Im thinking with underwriting and the entire process someone shouldve caught this. No one from the mortgage company or title mentioned anything of this. Ultimately i ended up paying over XXXX. Its affected my credit and like for years up until now. I still dont believe i am responsible for this debt as my mortgage company let me know nothing of this happening. He clearly stated the loan was forgiven.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX to inquire about the XXXX fund that was allocated to and my husband to help in a loan modification process. The reason I called was because my new servicer freedom mortgage stated they could not locate the XXXX fund that was received, the fund was never transferred to my new loan servicer though it was received On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX contacted XXXX regarding the receipt of mortgage assistance funds in the amount of {$60000.00} from the XXXX XXXX Assistance Fund ( XXXX ) agency. XXXX XXXX was advised that XXXX received and forwarded said funds to the XXXX Department for processing. ( Per prior complaint response from XXXX made in XXXX. ) the fund was never transferred and XXXX confirms receipt to the XXXX department on XX/XX/XXXX per XXXX. The fund was received prior to transfer and was never transferred and cause a delay in my partial claim process. The new servicer freedom mortgage is not willing to wait for the fund and sent me a modification which will cause my interest rate to increase. The XXXX fund would have allow me to benefit for a partial claim which would have caused my interest rate to remain the same. It seems as if this is plan by both mortgages to increase my interest rate especially for freedom mortgage to benefit more from my loan. I have been asking where is the fund, XXXX has no record of the fund being returned to them. XXXX is unable to tell me where is the fund. Freedom mortgage sent me modification paperwork to sign 14 days from XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX my identity was stolen. The Mortgage Company reversed payments to my Bank without my knowledge. The bank who I will deal with separately contacted My mortgage company and told them to reverse 12 payments. Thank God they only reversed 4. We sent proof to the mortgage company showing that we have never missed or been late on a payment. We have tried to make up the payments that were reversed. But with all the fees and late charges we don't have the money. Problem is all the late and service fees. They have also further damaged my credit rating by reporting me in default. We have contacted The mortgage company many times. Each time a new representative and no satisfactory response.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX- Freedom contacted me to streamline and sign up with them. They kept in close contact frequently until I started to have issues with my payment. XX/XX/XXXX I was approved for a XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. 1st payment was XX/XX/XXXX. I paid each month until XX/XX/XXXX, I started to get behind due to financial difficulties. XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX contacted Freedom to explain the hardships I was experiencing. Per their website, I applied for a hardship. I checked the status almost every day. XX/XX/XXXX member portal on Freedom 's website showed, new loan was in progress. XX/XX/XXXX- I was locked out of my account online XX/XX/XXXX - member portal showed " your account is in active foreclosure ''. feeling scared I sent a partial payment. I contacted the VA loan technician. I stayed in constant communication with them. I also at this time assigned my sister as authorized representative to assist me. This stress was starting to aggravate several of my XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX - I resubmitted a hardship loan application. I continued to experience periods of not being able to access my account online. XX/XX/XXXX - I tried to resume payments since I was able to. Freedom rejected the payment. XX/XX/XXXX- the link for the hardship application was showing to " upload bank statement and proof of income ''. I started to prepare those documents, then when I logged on to upload, I was again locked out. XX/XX/XXXX- XX/XX/XXXX - I got inconsistent messages from Freedom to include being referred to a single point of contact who never contacted me. Voicemails went unanswered. I started receiving mail from lawyer offices and realtors asking to utilize them to sell my home. A few realtors stopped by to take pictures asking my family what I wanted to sell my house for. the letters have not stopped. XX/XX/XXXX - feeling even more scared, I tried to send a full mortgage payment, this was again rejected. The VA notified me the foreclosure was halted until XX/XX/XXXX. I received some letters, others went 'undelivered ' per Freedom stating my previous mailing address in XXXX was causing their letters to be returned. XX/XX/XXXX- I was able to log on and saw that same " upload documents link with XX/XX/XXXX date. I tried again the next day and the site read " Oops it's not you, it's. '' I sent the VA all the documents I am submitting to you for this complaint. The VA is under the impression that I only made 1 payment after the modification. They and the post office verified that my mail was no longer being forwarded to my old mailing address. XX/XX/XXXX - the VA notified me that Freedom mortgage mishandled my VA XXXX Refund Modification that they granted to me in XX/XX/XXXX. It was not properly administered ; there were significant missing qualifications lacking.

I received a Notice from a Credit Reporting Service I belong to and was shocked and bewildered that Freedom Mortgage had the audacity to actually report that I am delinquent on the above referenced mortgage loan. XXXX XXXX notified me that you reported my account to XXXX and XXXX as delinquent and my rating went down XXXX points. Not only is this irresponsible and unjustifiable, and bordering on liable and defamation, but is totally illegal. I have been in conversations with your customer service for several weeks regarding this account and Freedom Mortgage received the same amount I have been paying for months, on time each month, and because you changed the escrow amount without my knowledge, you misapplied my payments. I am enclosing with this letter written proof that my bank submitted the full amount of my payments for every month for the last six months through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. For Freedom Mortgage to submit a delinquent notice to XXXX XXXX and other credit reporting agencies when all payments were made on time is immoral, illegal and a breach of your fiduciary duty. Furthermore, due to your irresponsible actions my credit rating has been reduced by over 60 points, which is grounds for a lawsuit based on precedent. See Court of Appeal, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, California. Alan R. SPORN, v. HOME DEPOT USA , INC. I have been building up my credit over the last two years from the previous Freedom Mortgage false claims to credit bureaus and will, in fact, pursue this to its fullest if it is not immediately reversed. I am, therefore, filing this formal complaint with you personally and Freedom Mortgage, along with the government agencies copied on this letter. Consumer Complaint: My alarm system XXXX, charged my bank account in error for equipment that was already paid causing my mortgage payment to bounce from my account. I told Freedom Mortgage about what happened and was told I would not be penalized and no adverse reporting to the credit bureau would take place. I told them when I would make the payments this month as I was waiting for XXXX to refund XXXX of dollars from the error that was made. Ive never been late and I believed the Freedom Mortgage representative. I have a top secret security clearance for work and negative credit reporting isnt allowed. Freedom Mortgage reported the mortgage as late, my score plummeted and Im at risk at work for disciplinary action as a result of the negative mark on my credit report. By the XXXX two full payments will be made to Freedom Mortgage ( one has already been completed ). Freedom Mortgage can schedule the payment if they want assurance. Freedom Mortgage knows this isnt my fault yet Im being penalized because of a terrible error from XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Last year we got behind on mortgage but to get relief they told us it has to be at least 2 months behind for loss mitigation. So after 2 months I applied and sent all documents then on deadline they told me it got denied and I had to send more information. I then resent everything again and asked them if I can still pay while in loss mitigation. They advised me that I can not make payments until it was finished. This process happened about 4 times of I remember where I kept sending everything. They not only didnt keep me informed I had to call them weekly for updates and told they didnt know anything yet. Finally I got on 3 month forbearance which ended XX/XX/2023 but at beginning of last month they said they were sending me a packet to renegotiate our loan in middle of XXXX. Not only did they not send anything they also did not contact me to tell me it fell through. I called On last day of XXXX to see where the papers were and they told me they were unable to do anything that Im in foreclosure now. I asked for our communication transcripts but they said I must subpoena them for the information.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/23 about My neighbor informed me that there was a suspicious man on my property looking through my windows. I hurried put on clothes and rush outside to see what was going on. Thats when I noticed there was blue adhesive with object affixed to my property and A strange man sitting in his car in front of my property. I didnt approach the car due to the fact that my neighbors were outside and the stranger in the car let down his window allowing me to give him back his object and in forcing my privacy, by informing him to never come on my property again. The stranger said that he was just trying to deliver a message. I assert that the stranger is an agent of freedom mortgage Who constructed a scheme to intimidate me or enforce me to contract with them so that I can adhere to their fictitious agreements. Freedom mortgage stays that it has a endorsed note from me as well as evidence of a loan given to me from freedom mortgage I assert the claim of fraud due to the fact that I am 1000 % sure that I have never contract it with freedom mortgage and freedom mortgage as they said in the document that sent to me they are a debt collector. Therefore proven that they do not have the ability to loan monies. It is my prayer that the CFPB expeditiously contact freedom mortgage due to the fact that they are threatening to seize my home where myself and my XXXX child resides and in fact have no rights or real security nor have they incurred any true debit by extending me a loan. I am asking that freedom mortgage provide the note that it is stating that I have contracted or enforced with freedom mortgage in addition to the securities agreement that must perform with said promissory note. By law if freedom mortgage can not produce a promissory note that is executed with XXXX XXXX wet ink signature Between XXXX XXXX and an owner of MAJORITY at Freedom Mortgage please required that freedom mortgage prove how it incurred any harm from XXXX XXXX or XXXX to secure XXXX XXXX estate and its assessors real property. In addition freedom mortgage is stating that it holds security to a loan received from freedom mortgage to XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$6700.00} that was issued on behalf of XXXX XXXX from FHA. I am attesting that freedom mortgage and its affiliates in membership of XXXX ( mortgagors listed nominee ), have conspired to commit fraud against XXXX XXXX and FHA by one of Contesting that XXXX XXXX received any parts of the {$6700.00} or that any parts of this amount went towards my mortgage account with XXXX XXXX. Consumer Complaint: This has happened to me two years in a row now. Freedom Mortgage has sent me the upcoming years Escrow Analysis Statements with large errors on them leading to my monthly payments increasing by $ XXXX {$800.00}. Last year it took me over half of the year with close to XXXX hours on the phone going line by line with my payments to prove that I was in the right with my payments, and they were incorrect. This year they have done the same thing. With me even overpaying into my Escrow account off of excess payments last year they are saying I am around {$5800.00} short when I should have around a {$2000.00} surplus. When I call the company, they say they will run a new statement ( which takes 10 days somehow ) and someone will be in contact with me. However, they have never called back once even when I proved I was in the right multiple times. I can not believe this is happening two years in a row and I do not know what to do anymore.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX we called the mortgage company and told them our house is for sale and the buyers will close on XX/XX/XXXX. We stated we had moved but our daughter still lives in the house. Today XX/XX/XXXX, a Contractor from Mortgage Consulting showed up at my house and when I asked her what she was taping to my door she said its a no trespassing vacant sign abandonment notice and that shes sent out when a house is in foreclosure. We have a VA loan with Freedom Mortgage and we missed XXXX and are late for XXXX but we are not 120 days late and not received any type of notice other than a letter to contact them about making a payment ( which we did XX/XX/XXXX, day before they sent someone to post our house is vacant/abandoned ). I called Freedom Mortgage and the guy apologized and said theres no reason to do this for being behind 2 payments ( not even 60 days ) and would note our account. How is freedom mortgage legally able to do this and why are they trying to say its abandoned when we reached out to them and clearly told them what was going on? I have the whole conversation with the contractor on video, please keep this in mind in your response.
