Consumer Complaint: Freedom Mortgage company has reported fraudulent information on my credit report and on my annual 1098 form. The amounts listed on our current billing statement and our 1098 form are completely different. The amounts on the 1098 have been inflated. Our premium payment has tripled since inception of the loan. They have consistently inflated numbers, with no refunds or credits to our principal balance when premiums change. We have had a recent change in premium. It has decreased ; however, we have not received any credit or refund check to reflect this change. They have consistently done this for the life of the loan. I confirmed amount of payoff from a FHC agent and email. Versus what the 1098 states. They have inflated amounts that we actually owe. This is fraudulent activity!

Consumer Complaint: Yes prior to going into forcloser I requested a hardship relief package when I spoke to the agent helping me we decided to go with a loan modification which would have brought my current just as I needed. She said that she was mailing me out a package of paperwork to fill it out and send back. She told me that this could be a long process I said ok. I received my package and filled out the paperwork and sent back that was the last I heard from freedom mortgage. The next thing I know is Im receiving a letter saying my home is in active foreclosure and my sell date is XXXX XXXX which is 8 days awayXXXX I thought by law if I was going through a hardship they couldn't put my house up for foreclosure unless I refused for them to help meXXXX. I'm desperate to keep my home PLEASE HELP ME

Although company representatives admitted to the discrepancy, they repeatedly said someone will reach out to me ) it has been nearly 3 months & no one has followed up or fixed the overcharge. I have a detailed list of emails citing the problem & request for help. Freedom Mortgage has been ignoring my requests for help with this issue for over a month, while continuing to withhold my information & overcharging me.

Consumer Complaint: As of today,XX/XX/2024, I received notification from XXXX that the information contained in my credit report regarding Freedom Mortgage is accurate following a credit reporting dispute. However, I have communication from Freedom to the contrary. No foreclosure action has been initiated on my account. Furthermore, my account was current up to XX/XX/2024 per communication from CalHFA in XX/XX/2024. I do not believe that XXXX investigated my dispute. XXXX continues to obstruct my right to dispute the information contained in my credit report. This is not the first occurrence. I have not received any evidence of a valid investigation. Furthermore, I no longer feel comfortable providing additional information to XXXX for a reinvestigation in light of how my previous disputes have been handled with Freedom and other creditors listed in my credit file. This continued practice is in violation of the FCRA and does not promote accuracy, fairness, nor protect the privacy of personal information assembled by Credit Reporting Agencies ( CRAs ). Your assistance, implementing proper enforcement and achieving a fair resolution are greatly appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, this is the 3rd complaint i am filing now on behalf of myself and my problems with Freedom Mortgage. You dismissed my last complaint because you said it was the same issue as my first complaint. this is not so! As a result of your involvement, the first issue which had to do with TAXES was resolved! The company refunded the illegally seized taxes which i was not required to pay. However, after that time, I requested a new breakdown of escrow payments to the mortgage company. This has not occurred. I requested this because the company has forced place my homeowners ' insurance with one of their conspiratorial companies to inflate my escrow when they are well aware that i have XXXX homeowners ' insurance. They have been provided proof of insurance so why am i paying double??? Why is my insurance being forced placed when i have homeowners ' insurance? and the policy is intact? This is different than the illegal confiscation of my taxes. Why do you at the CFPB feel that the response from the offending company should warrant a closing of my complaint without requesting information from me? This is completely separate from my very first complaint which was resolved favorable to me. I hope this is clear enough. I would like an accounting for the amounts being charged to me by this rip off company Freedom Mortgage. The only freedom is that the CFPB is letting them run free to rip off consumers.

Consumer Complaint: Freedom mortgage company did not charge insurance policy for 3 years. There were 2 a year, house, and hurricane wind policy, and they paid both, but because they didnt resolve escrow each year, did not charge me for wind policy, or did an escrow analysis for 3 years. XXXX XXXX they found their mistake, and want me to pay from XXXX monthly to XXXX monthly, because they never did escrow and find their mistake for 3 years. I dont think I should have to pay all at once for their error not applying insurance to me for 3 years. I can not afford that huge increase, in payments and ask for the amount to put at end of loan, and try and help me. My insurance company found the error talking to freedom mtg. Company insurance dept. they said u need to talk to escrow dept, and they refused to talk to me. The last lady at freedom mtg put in second request to spread over more months. I am waiting for their response., but fear it will be past XX/XX/XXXX when payment is due. They already said no once, but didnt refer to other gentlemen that ask for that a few days prior. Just got a message to pay that lump insurance amount sum, or pay XXXX. Monthly until the escrow is paid. They even one year said I paid too much escrow and gave me XXXX back 1 year. Very strange. Said I had to cash it. I should not be in a position to not be able to pay my mortgage because of their error of not doing my escrow analysis, and them missing second policy. I am already paying a bankruptcy, and until that is finished, I do not have the almost XXXX extra dollars to give them for their mistakes. Isnt it a law to do escrow every year? I want it applied to end of loan, because not my error, they made a big error. I was very sick last few years, confined to bed, or wheelchair, had XXXX last XXXX, and just got better from XXXX, and I didnt catch the error.. my life was on autopilot. XXXX needs to help me, and so far they only charged me for leaving out a insurance policy, they missed for 3 years, and I dont have that amount. I am researching what law or policy they broke for not doing escrow on me every year, and paying the XXXX policies for 3 years. Not fair, and I dont want to lose my house because of their mistakes. If they had done correct escrow, I would not owe such a huge amount, all at once for their negligence of not doing escrow, and not paying that XXXX policy to escrow for me to pay. My insurance has all the documentation, as well as taped calls of them finding the errors. Please help

If plain A didn't work do B I was told by the FTC and CFPB that the parties above can't come after me and EX WIFE and they are, and Freedom Mortgage took no for an answer. they have been lying to all parties.to get at me like they said sorry but I'm not responsible for his debt.

Consumer Complaint: I am currently selling my property under an assumption loan process. I went under contract with Buyer in XXXX of XXXX. I am still in the assumption process to this day. My assumption officer is XXXX XXXX at Freedom Mortgage. The buyer, myself, and my realtor to include the title office vice president have contacted her and freedom mortgage on numerous occasions with no response. We know that we are conditionally approved but have no received any other answers from them. The lack of communication is ridiculous and just want this process to come to a close and finally close.
