Consumer Complaint: In XXXX we applied to XXXX XXXX XXXX to accept a deed in lieu of foreclosure on our home. We started the process on XX/XX/XXXX and we sent in a full package for review. On or about XX/XX/XXXX the bank requested additional documents which we sent in right away. On or about XX/XX/XXXX we were told the documents were received. We kept checking back to see where we stood with the process. On or about XX/XX/XXXX were were informed that FHA would require us to try and short sale the home first. We listed the house in XXXX of XXXX, as requested by XXXX XXXX. Then in XXXX XXXX XXXX said we applied for a Covid Forebearance but we never asked for one. They said that we could still work on the short sale but the plan would be up in XX/XX/XXXX. The bank then asked us to submit for a modification so we sent the papers in for that as well. We follow up over and over again for over 3 months and sometime in XXXX XXXX informed us that we were declined for any type of modification and that we would need to sell the home. We explained that we have been trying since XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX the bank requested more documents so we sent everything requested on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX the package was in review. We called again on XX/XX/XXXX and the package was still in review. On or about XX/XX/XXXX XXXX then asked for more conditions, these were the same conditions they had for over 2 months. We sent all items to the bank on or about XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX we were still in review. On or about XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX then requested more documents which we sent in the same day. On XX/XX/XXXX we were informed that a appraisal was going to be done. On XX/XX/XXXX we were informed that our loan was going to transfer to Freedom Mortgage and that the short sale package would be sent over with the transfer. We were informed that it could take up to 30 days for the loan to be placed into the system. On XX/XX/XXXX the loan was in Freedom Mortgage 's system. On XX/XX/XXXX we were informed that the short sale request was in the system and all that was needed was a contract extension. We had to submit a new contract and a new buyer as the last buyer cancelled. On or about XX/XX/XXXX all documents were submitted to Freedom Mortgage and we would need to check back in 15 days. On or about XX/XX/XXXX we were then told we had to start a whole new package. We asked why as we were told that all info was in with them and they just needed the updated purchase contract. So again we submitted a whole new package on XX/XX/XXXX after getting all the paper work done again. On or about XX/XX/XXXX the bank requested more items. On or about XX/XX/XXXX all items were sent to the bank. On or about XX/XX/XXXX we were informed that a appraisal was ordered on XX/XX/XXXX and the real estate agent would be contacted by the appraiser. We were informed that they did not need any other items from us. On or about XX/XX/XXXX we checked back with the bank again regarding the appraisal but Freedom Mortgage did not have a update and that they would open up a task and request a rush to get the appraisal done. On or about XX/XX/XXXX the bank informed us that they still did not have a appraisal. Again the bank informed us that they would open a urgent task to find out whey the appraisal has not been done. They could not give us any reason for this. We called again on or about XX/XX/XXXX and they still did not have a time set for the appraisal to be done. We went thru this for the rest of XXXX and now thru the XXXX of XXXX of this year. We still do not have a answer. We are concerned we will loss this buyer as well.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom it May Concern, This will be my fifth attempt to have this account reported correctly on my credit from Freedom Mortgage. If XXXX and Freedom Mortgage can not get it right this time I will be forced to take legal action and go to the media against Freedom Mortgage and XXXX for not keep creditors accountable. Her is a factual summary of my complaint against Freedom Mortgage inaccurately reporting on my credit : XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX called XXXX about the issue with mortgage due to him reviewing his credit report and seeing the mortgage was 60 days behind. XXXX XXXX never received any letter or phone calls from Freedom Mortgage and was only made aware of the issue through his credit report. XXXX explained what happened with Freedom Mortgage and asked him to help short out the issue. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX spoke with XXXX # XXXX from freedom mortgage to figure out what need to be done to catch up and requested a forbearance to make sure the house did not go into foreclosure. XXXX submitted the request forbearance and explained the house was behind on escrow by {$7800.00} and behind on the mortgage {$5600.00}. XXXX told XXXX XXXX would have the money from her tax return and would catch up as soon as XXXX bank released the money. XXXX also requested XXXX to uncompounded the taxes due to an issue with the solar company attaching additional tax to the escrow making the mortgage payment fall behind and escrow shortage. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX called to check the status of the forbearance and tax situation. He spoke with XXXX # XXXX who explain there was no update on the status of the forbearance request. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX called again to check on the status and spoke to XXXX # XXXX who stated he did not have an update on the request and to call back in 48 hours. On XXXX XXXX XXXX called and spoke with XXXX # XXXX who explained that a request was never submitted. She took the financials and apologized for the oversight of the company and told me XXXX the request for forbearance would be completed by XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX stated to not worry about the house going into foreclosure. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX spoke with XXXX # XXXX who stated the forbearance was still being proceed and we should hear something soon. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX called because he noticed a foreclosure flag on the account despite being told by freedom mortgage this would not happen. XXXX did a conference call with XXXX and spoke with XXXX # XXXX from freedom mortgage to figure out what happen. XXXX had the money to catch up from her taxes but XXXX was rude and non-sympathetic to what was happening. She continued to explain they would not accept our money because the house is in foreclosure. XXXX was able to get XXXX to calm down and XXXX requested XXXX to speak with a manager. XXXX told XXXX and XXXX there was no manager available but would have a manager call us back as soon as they are available. XXXX also explained the loss mitigation process to XXXX and XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX was called by a Freedom Mortgage manager XXXX # XXXX who was apologetic for the mistake the company made with flagging the mortgage with foreclosure flag. XXXX told XXXX would contact the forbearance office to let them know we have the money to catch up and want to pay the balance if they remove the flag on their mortgage account. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX spoke with Manager XXXX # XXXX who informed him that the forbearance was approved stopping the foreclosure process for 3 months. She also explained the mitigation process further and told us to that she would email and mail the documents. On XX/XX/XXXX called to check on status of loss mitigation due to no response from Freedom mortgage and was on hold for 57 minutes until the company line hung up on me. On XX/XX/XXXX, called to check on status of loss mitigation due to no response from Freedom mortgage and was on hold for 79 minutes until the company line hung up on me. On XX/XX/XXXX, spoke with freedom mortgage agent XXXX # XXXX to ask the status of the loss mitigation and she explained that the loss mitigation process is still pending approval and could not provide any further information. On XX/XX/XXXX Hired Lawyer and Real Estate Agent to list house due to lack of transparency and answers from freedom mortgage regarding the loss mitigation process. *House Closed Escrow on XX/XX/XXXX and never went into foreclosure status. XXXX XXXX, XXXX Filed Report against company for unethical behavior and false credit reporting with XXXX reference complaint # XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX Filed Report against Freedom Mortgage with CFPB XXXX XXXX : Response from Freedom Mortgage not addressing or fixing any inaccuracies on my credit report. * XX/XX/XXXX : New Claim against Freedom Mortgage for showing balance on account a year latter despite being paid off and still not reflecting the corrected payment history. XXXX XXXX, XXXX : Received letter from XXXX showing only the balance being removed but adding Foreclosure Proceeding Flag on my credit after the house was sold. What is this! How can this even happen. I HAVE ATTACHED ALL FACTUAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage company will not file the claim necessary for me to payoff my account. I have a partial claim with HUD that Freedom must file for and they will not do so. I could loose my home because of their incompetency. I have been asking them to do so since XXXX, 2021. I have copies of each request I sent them. I have spoken to them on the phone several times as well. One phone the person from Freedom even stated that they were filing the partial claim from HUD as we spoke. HUD has no record of it. Either no one who answers the phones or reads the emails at Freedom knows how to do their job or they lie.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of 2019 I was in a hospital for the entire month with complications stemming from my parathyroid XXXX. I am not married nor do I have a significant other so I paid my bills a bit late that month. More specifically, my mortgage with Freedom Mortgage is due on the XXXX of every month but in XXXX of 2019 I paid it on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX p.m. because of being hospitalized. I have a computer generated receipt with the Freedom Mortgage letterhead on top of it, stating the date, the time and the seconds of the payment. Even though my payment was made on XX/XX/XXXX, well before being 30 days past due, this pathetic company reported me as being 30 days past due to all three major credit bureaus. I talked to them as well as the credit bureaus and even forwarded the receipt from Freedom Mortgage website that clearly stated what time and date my payment was made but Freedom mortgage would not remove the negative payment history from the credit bureaus. This egregious act has caused my credit score to plummet almost 100 points as well as prevent me from doing a 100 % VA XXXX out loan on my home in order to help my XXXX sons, of which I am a single father, pay for their college. I am a XXXXyear-old retired XXXX veteran that XXXX XXXX XXXX and hand in a XXXX XXXX in XXXX from an XXXX XXXX and this is the first time in my life that I have ever had a negative remark put on any of my credit reports. I am pleading with someone to give me the help that I deserve. I recognize the payment was not made on the first of the month as is the language in the contract but the payment was not 30 days past due and I have proof stating exactly that! Consumer Complaint: I began the process of refinancing my home with " Freedom Mortgage Company '' on XX/XX/2021. After submitting ALL the documents requested by Freedom Mortgage, the company was negligent with the handling of my loan. They would ask for the same documents over and over again because they would pass my loan to several agents within the company. As a result of this process, seven months has gone by and TWO appraisals and one termite inspection that I paid for expired. Freedom Mortgage requested that I pay for and submit a THIRD appraisal and SECOND termite inspection. At this point I am cutting ties with Freedom Mortgage and requesting to be reimbursed for the money spent.
