Consumer Complaint: During the pandemic 2021 the credit reporting agency experian aloud you to receive and monitor your report for free each month. Somehow I was upgraded to receive reports from all three credit reporting agencies I never authorized this. When I noticed it 9 months I had been getting billed for the upgraded the whole time. I contacted them and they reimburse me for two payments. I was told to contact my bank to receive the remaining balance. The bank credited my account with {$250.00} and 3 or 4 weeks later the bank took the {$250.00} back. I was informed that to much time had passed before I call to inform them of this unauthorized transaction. My bank is XXXX XXXX I'd like to see if I can recover this from the bank or experian?

Consumer Complaint: Tried to get my free credit report from Experian several times within the last month and could not gain access. Tried to obtain my free Experian credit report through XXXX and could not gain access to it. Experian requested that I created an account, which I created with my email address XXXX as the username. But everything I tried going to the next step error message states : Experian is committed to protecting your personal information. We utilize a thorough identity verification system because your security is important to us. Unfortunately, we have not been able to properly identify you from the information you provided. Please note that your order has been canceled. Call us toll-free at XXXX Hours of operation : Mon - Fri : XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX PT Sat - Sun : XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX PT, All I want is to obtain my credit report online. I called XXXX only to be told wait 72 hours and called back, because system lock file. ; I call back XXXX three days later and the automated system would not connect me with a live person. Felt that the automated telephone system purposely had me going through different prompts that prevented me from speaking to a live person. As of today, I dont have access online with Experian to get my free credit report or to file a dispute.

Consumer Complaint: Experian is unable to provide a process by which I am able to submit documents online to correct my first and last name on my report. XXXX was able to update my personal information after getting a scan of my passport ( for id proof ) and updated ssn card. Experian requires me to send sensitive documents over mail which I am unwilling to do. I did not provide experian any documents for them to open a file/account for me. They should have a mechanism to get updated information from the lenders who already have my updated information. I intend to start opening complaints on this issue with the cfpb more frequently until this issue is resolved. 1. The experian.com/upload option does not work. The webpage has no elements to interact with as shown in the screenshot. 2. My credit grantors have my updated first and last name. My active credit cards are in my correct name as well.

Consumer Complaint: Email is copied from Experian Smart Money attached below I had sent a dispute in due to the information on my Experian account being incorrect and accessed via phone numbers that are not mine. I was unable to remove them even when I called into support and when I told them numerous times that the number was not mine and I could not change it. They told me they would follow up with me with a call or email and never did. I was finally able to change the number and security questions as well as password. It was blocking me for a while from doing so. My account had been accessed while I was out of state and and Ive been trying to get ahold of the transactions for a while with numerous calls and requests. My recent dispute was denied and I want my money back. I lost access to many of my accounts and even a XXXX account I never even set up and havent been able to even access. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I made a cfpb complaint evidenced by complaint numbers XXXX, XXXX and XXXX about EXPERIAN, XXXX and XXXX violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act, it has been well over 30 days and EXPERIAN, XXXX and XXXX have not made the appropriate changes to comply with the FCRA. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681i ( 5 ) ( A ) ( i ) -If 30 days have passed without proper verification then the information must be deleted. I have reached out to the company via phone to no avail, as they continue to use deceptive practices to cause me harm. In my initial complaint I directed XXXX and XXXX to make all lawful changes pursuant to 15 USC 1681a ( 2 ) ( A ) ( iii ) -The consumer is supposed to be given a chance to direct the information they want to be directed, they have not done so nor have they made the changes to be complaince with the FCRA as required by law. The company claims they verified accounts but provided NO VALID PROOF of this, including no method or steps of verification. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681i ( 6 ) ( B ) ( iii ) and 15 USC 1681i ( 7 ) I am requesting a FULL description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information. This should include ( but not limited to ) the answers to the following questions for each account claimed to be verified : What was the method of verification used during your reinvestigation of the verified accounts? 1. Who did you speak to? 2. From what department? 3. What is their employee id or code or personal identifier? 4. What contract did they provide you when you verified these companies had my written consent to share my personal information with you? Provide it as evidence. 5. Was this account authorized by my credit card? 6. Did they provide anything other than alleged transactions and experiences as mentioned in 15 USC 1681a ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i )? Do you have any contract with me or written consent from me where I give you permission to furnish this account? Do you have any documentation/evidence on file of you notifying the consumer that this negative information was being reported to you before you added it to the report? Provide the negative information notice pursuant to 15 USC 1681s-2 ( 7 ) ( A ) ( i ). Pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( b ) -You must follow reasonable procedures and must be fair and EQUITABLE to the consumer. Taking a persons word without proper evidence is NOT fair nor is it equitable to the consumer when this causes harm to the consumer. In addition, 15 USC 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) states You shall not furnish information about a consumer if you have reasonable cause it may be inaccurate. An entire CFPB complaint clearly is reasonable cause yet EXPERIAN, XXXX and XXXX continue to willfully furnish inaccurate and ILLEGAL information. EXPERIAN, XXXX and XXXX are in violation of : 1. 15 USC 1681 ( A ) ( 4 ) - Right to privacy-furnishing private information about me without any lawful authority or my written consent. Provide evidence of written consent signed by the consumer ; 2.15 USC 1681a ( 2 ) ( A ) ( iii ) -The consumer is supposed to be given a chance to direct the information they want to be directed, as they consistently refuse to update consumer information as directed nor will they produce ANY proof that they have been provided with my written consent to furnish ANY of my private information because none exists ; 3.15 USC 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) - You shall not furnish information about a consumer if you have reasonable cause it may be inaccurate. A complaint is reasonable cause ; 4.15 USC 1681e ( b ) -Must maintain maximum possible accuracy. They refuse to make it accurate with the necessary changes provided as directed ; 5. 15 USC 1681a ( 2 ) ( B ) -If a transaction was authorized by a credit card it can not be reported. Pursuant to 15 USC 1602 ( L ) The term credit card means any card, plate, coupon book, or other credit device existing for the purpose of obtaining money, property, labor or services on credit. ALL transactions reported on the consumer report were authorized by my credit card. 6. 15 USC 1681 ( b ) -You must follow reasonable procedures and must be fair and EQUITABLE to the consumer. Their procedures are neither fair nor EQUITABLE when they havent lawfully obtained my written permission to have my personal information nonetheless SELL said private personal information without any due consideration. Equity sees that as done what ought to be done. As they have been notified but refuse to update consumer information pursuant to 15 USC 1681o ( a ) ( 1 ) -Negligent compliance, these are willful violations and pursuant to 15 USC 1681n ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) - Willful failure to comply with any requirement under the FCRA is damages up to {$1000.00} per violation. 15 USC 1681b ( a ) ( 2 ) -Credit Report Agencies need written instruction to make a consumer report by the consumer. 15 USC 1681a ( q ) ( 3 ) and Regulation V 12 CFR 1022.3 defines Identity theft as a fraud committed or attempted using the identifying information of another person without their authority.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a dispute more than a year ago and won. But now the same bill is being reported to the same credit bureau, Experian. I disputed it again this week but Experian ruled against me this time. How can they favor me for a whole year and then let the same company damage my credit score over again? Its like being tried for a criminal case twice. I need you to contact Experian and tell them to take it off of my report again.
