Issue: Written notification about debt

Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt

Consumer Complaint: I am the primary complainant in this matter, and I hereby grant full authority to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) to thoroughly investigate and address this claim. It is distressing to know that you have included incomplete and erroneous details in my credit report, and that you have failed to maintain reasonable procedures in your operations to assure maximum possible accuracy in the credit reports that you publish. The credit reporting laws ensure that bureaus report only 100 % accurate credit information. Every step must be taken to assure the information reported is completely accurate and correct. However, it appears that you have failed to adhere to these laws, and have continued to report inaccurate information. I demand that you immediately investigate the following information, and provide me with proof of the alleged item, specifically the contract, note, or other instrument bearing my signature. Failing that, the item must be deleted from the report as soon as possible : XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. The listed items are completely inaccurate and incomplete, and are a very serious error in reporting. It is unacceptable that you have continued to report such misleading information, despite being informed of these errors by other credit bureaus.

Subissue: Information belongs to someone else

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to your company to bring to your attention a matter concerning my EQUIFAX consumer report from XX/XX/2023 and I believe that equitable remedies are necessary to rectify the situation. I have identified several instances where you are willfully, inaccurately, and unlawfully reporting that the following accounts are negative without furnishing any proof of verification of these alleged debts nor that you followed all laws and regulations under the FCRA to report them therefore you must REMOVE all negative accounts and adverse remarks as they are causing unjust harm. I am asserting my rights under exclusive equity and am seeking equitable remedies to address the harm caused by your company. Please be aware that all negative accounts and remarks found on my credit report are violations of the FCRA therefore in addition to having said accounts removed, I have also attached an invoice for statutory damages for each violation.
