Consumer Complaint: My wallet was stolen during a football game in XXXX, that included my driver 's license and social security card. I made a police report right after and was advised to place a fraud alert on my credit. I recently obtained a copy of my credit profile and noticed an account and credit inquiries that I have no affiliation with or knowledge of. I reached out to the Credit Reporting Agencies requesting verification and that these inaccuracies be removed from my credit profile. Furnishing this account and information to my profile is in violation of XXXX XXXX XXXX, not only have I not given any permission or written consent, but fraudulent accounts are being reported on my profile due to identity theft. The impact this account is having on my credit profile is preventing me from accessing new line of credit. The creditor that I have no knowledge of that's reporting to my profile is, XXXX XXXX. I also noticed a series of inquiries from XXXX XXXX that I never authorized.

Consumer Complaint: I have received your computer-generated letter stating that you have ceased investigation of my credit reports because, in your opinion, you believe that I have used a third-party credit repair agency. Not only do I believe this to be a stall tactic on your part to grant you an additional XXXX days to comply with my original request, but I believe it to be a blatant violation of the FCRA. I have attached a copy of my XXXX issued ID as well as mail showing proof of address. So, there shouldnt be no confusion or stall tactics on your end. You were advised by me by certified mail that I questioned the accuracy of a few items on my credit reports. That request was written by me and mailed by me- not a third-party agency. It appears obvious to me that you are abusing your power under the FCRA to escape a complete investigation. On XX/XX/XXXX, I wrote to the below creditors requesting an investigation into items that I believed were fraud, inaccurate, and falsely reported. To this date I have not received a response. Not only do I believe this to be a stall tactic on their part to grant an additional XXXX days to comply with my original request, but I believe it to be a blatant violation of 15 U.S. Code 1681i - Procedure in case of disputed accuracy. Your credit reporting agency has been reporting inaccurate and incomplete account information to my credit file. I am distressed that these referenced inaccurate accounts are on my credit profile. Your reporting agency has failed to maintain reasonable procedures in your operations to assure maximum possible accuracy in the credit information they report and may be liable under 15 U.S.C. 1692g validation of debt. Also, in XXXX XXXX Equifax Information Services LLC XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), your reporting agency may be liable for false reporting. Credit reporting laws ensure that bureaus report only 100 % accurate credit information.

Consumer Complaint: I've been trying to obtain my credit report from Equifax since XX/XX/2023. I can not log in to my Equifax account, and they make it extremely hard to talk to a live person. I do take in consideration of security purposes, but can not say if that's all of the intent. I also couldn't get my Equifax report through annualcreditreport.com as well. I think it is unfair for these private corporations to be able to make it difficult for consumers to access anything in the name of " security purposes ''. I also couldn't speak to anyone to opt ouy of my data being sold and shared amongst other things I would like to opt out of. It's XXXX thing to have these regulations in writing, but it's another to abide by them and enforce them.

Consumer Complaint: 15USC 1681 a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) clearly states that transactions between the consumer and the Person/Corporation making the report is NOT included on the consumer reports. Yet XXXX is reporting this information.. The reporting of excluded information pursuant to 15USC 1681 a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) on a consumer report is a clear violation of Metro2 compliance. Provide me with the Metro2 compliance disclosure on reporting transactions to a consumeXXXX reporting agency. I need the transactions reporting as late, collection/charge-off status and any other derogatory information deleted from my consumer reports effective immediately. Before you think to reply that this account has been " validated ', let 's be clear that I am not asking you to validate or verify anything. So please do not respond by telling me that as a tactic to waste my valuable time. Some of the negative accounts have been placed in Collection/Charge-Off Status WITHOUT mailing me a copy of IRS form 1099-C Cancellation of Debt. XXXX and the creditors reporting collections/Charge-Offs, late payments/other derogatory information in my consumer reports are in violation of 26 USC ss 6050P Returns Relating to the Cancellation of Indebtedness By Certain Entities. If this derogatory account information is not deleted from my consumer reports within 30 days, I will be forced to officially file IRS form 3949A : Information Referral AND IRS form 211 : Application For Award For Original Information Overview with the Internal Revenue Service against ALL entities involved.
