Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to address a matter of significant concern regarding my experience as a consumer with XXXX XXXX. It has come to my attention that XXXX XXXX is currently facing legal action initiated by the New York State Attorney General for allegations of predatory lending practices. Regrettably, I find myself among the victims of such practices, which transpired between the dates of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, just XXXX weeks after purchasing the vehicle, I discovered that the dealership had been closed down. Attempting to rectify the situation, I approached XXXX XXXX, requesting a refund and the return of the car. Unfortunately, my plea was met with refusal, and instead, I found myself burdened with high payments that were beyond my financial means. The situation worsened when the economic challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic left me unemployed from XXXX to XXXX. Consequently, I faced difficulties in meeting the financial obligations, leading to the repossession of my car by XXXX XXXX. In my pursuit to rebuild my financial standing, I have encountered persistent challenges in removing XXXX XXXX from my credit report. Despite a brief period where they were removed, they reappeared XXXX months later, negatively impacting my credit score. This has impeded my efforts to secure housing and hindered my ability to make significant financial decisions. I am currently employed and committed to improving my credit score to achieve financial stability. I kindly request your assistance in rectifying this matter promptly and ensuring the accurate representation of my credit history. I believe that resolving this issue will contribute positively to my efforts to rebuild my credit and enable me to make responsible financial choices in the future. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a swift resolution. Sincerely, [ XXXX XXXX XXXX ]

Consumer Complaint: Ive noticed that several deviations from mandatory reporting standards therefore the data in my report can not be accurate and complete! With that said, I deny your allegations and I challenge you to provide proof that you have the right to report this incomplete negative information on my credit report. Per 15 U.S.C 1681e Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates. According to 12 CFR Part 1022 ( Regulation V ) requires furnishers to : Furnish information concerning accounts or other relationships with a consumer that has integrity. Furnish information about accounts or other relationships with a consumer that is accurate. C - Conduct reasonable investigations of consumer disputes According to CRRG, in order to make a lawful report, you must follow the Metro 2 compliance standards. Also as stated in the CRRG Any Deviation From These Standards Jeopardizes The Integrity of The Data. This means that any mistakes in reporting claims can make the information less accurate and it affects the accuracy of any federally regulated reports. Therefore, I am invoking my rights to challenge these inaccurate and non-compliant items. Neglecting my demand will only prove that you DO NOT care about my rights as a consumer. Its NOT FAIR for you to report information that isnt confirmed to be ethical and meets the standards of certified reporting. Again, I am challenging these claims and asking for proof of the proper reporting standards. You are violating my rights! I have listed the concerns about your reporting in this document. It's not complete and does not meet my standards according to law, you must certify all aspects of required FCRA/ Metro 2 compliance which is done truthfully, correctly ( in a timely manner ), completely AND accurately as well - or else I would have to escalate these issues to the CFPB XXXX FTC and my Attorney General.

Consumer Complaint: I was informed by my tax preparer that my personal information was lost/stolen by movers during a commercial relocation in 2020. I was advised that she made a police report and I should monitor my information going forward. I placed a fraud alert with credit report agencies. I recently pulled a copy of my report and noticed accounts that I have no knowledge of. The creditors include : XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX. I have no affiliation with these creditors and these accounts are not mine. Furnishing accounts to my credit profile due to identity theft is in direct violation of 15 USC 1681c-2. I've contacted EQUIFAX, XXXX, AND XXXX twice to rectify this solution requesting verification of these accounts. This information being furnished to my profile is affecting my ability to purchase a home. I also noticed credit inquiries being furnished from XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX. The inquiries were furnished without my knowledge or written consent which in violation of 15 USC 1681B. I also requested that addresses that are not mine, and names that are not mine be removed from my credit profile and I see that they are still being reported.
