I am writing to express my concern and submit a complaint to EQUIFAX regarding the improper use of my credit report and the reporting of inaccurate information on my file. I previously sent a letter to your office requesting an investigation into certain unverifiable accounts. Despite your assurance of conducting a proper investigation, upon reviewing my credit report, I discovered that inaccurate information persists. The discrepancies include but are not limited to, the date opened, date of last activity, date reported, account status, and payment history. It is disheartening to note that such inaccuracies continue to be reflected in my credit report, despite the initial request for investigation. I believe this situation infringes upon my rights as outlined in 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A, which emphasizes my right to privacy. Additionally, 15 U.S.C 1681 section 604 A Section 2 stipulates that a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. I kindly request a thorough review of my case and the prompt correction of the inaccuracies in my credit report. Your cooperation in resolving this matter is highly appreciated. Consumer Complaint: I am writing to bring to your attention certain discrepancies in the information being reported on my credit report, which is in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). This is the second time I reported this issue to Equifax ; however, there is still inaccurate information on my credit report. Under 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ), when information is challenged by a consumer, a CRA must in fact investigate the accuracy of an underlying disputed debt between a consumer and a creditor as part of its statutory obligation ( XXXX ) to use " reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information '' in its credit reports; and ( XXXX ) to " conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the current status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file. The Acct ( XXXX XXXX Acct # XXXX ) reported on my credit profile has multiple inaccuracies such as Date Reported, Lasted Date Of Activity, and Payment History. XXXX reported Date Opened XXXX and XXXX and Equifax reported date opened XXXX. The DLA ( last date of activity ) is inconsistent meaning there's conflict that this debt could have been illegally re-aged which is an additional FCRA violations. Date Reported and Payment history are also inconsistent within all three credit bureau. If XXXX has verified the debt and did an investigative then there shouldnt be any misrepresentations being reported on my credit profile. Yet XXXX is reporting this information.. The reporting of excluded information pursuant to 15USC 1681 a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) on a consumer report is a clear violation of Metro2 compliance. Provide me with the Metro2 compliance disclosure on reporting transactions to a consumer reporting agency. I need the transactions reporting as late, collection/charge-off status and any other derogatory information deleted from my consumer reports effective immediately. Before you think to reply that this account has been " validated ', let 's be clear that I am not asking you to validate or verify anything. So please do not respond by telling me that as a tactic to waste my valuable time. Some of the negative accounts have been placed in Collection/Charge-Off Status WITHOUT mailing me a copy of IRS form 1099-C Cancellation of Debt. XXXX and the creditors reporting collections/Charge-Offs, late payments/other derogatory information in my consumer reports are in violation of 26 USC ss 6050P Returns Relating to the Cancellation of Indebtedness By Certain Entities. Consumer Complaint: Hello, I just need this one inaccurate account be removed on my credit report from all credit bureaus record because they have reported it incorrectly. A lot of information doesn't connect, match and align with each other, thinking that youre only acquiring this information from one source or creditor. How can that meet the Standards of Accuracy if the reports from each bureaus differ from one another? This is the main reason why I have reason to believe that this account was incorrectly reported under my name. I never authorize any individual or entity to add this item on my file. So this must be automatically removed and deleted as promptly as possible. While I was scanning through my credit reports. This one particular account named XXXX XXXX with account # : XXXX. All three credit bureaus have different interpretation of each categories and descriptions : 1. Account Type - Detail > XXXX said it was a deposit related but XXXX said it was UNKNOWN and Equifax has no comment 2. Account Status > XXXX XXXX Equifax said Derogatory but XXXX said PAID 3. Consumer Complaint: Ive noticed that several deviations from mandatory reporting standards therefore the data in my report can not be accurate and complete! With that said, I deny your allegations and I challenge you to provide proof that you have the right to report this incomplete negative information on my credit report. Per 15 U.S.C 1681e Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates. According to 12 CFR Part 1022 ( Regulation V ) requires furnishers to : Furnish information concerning accounts or other relationships with a consumer that has integrity. Furnish information about accounts or other relationships with a consumer that is accurate. C - Conduct reasonable investigations of consumer disputes According to CRRG, in order to make a lawful report, you must follow the Metro 2 compliance standards. Also as stated in the CRRG Any Deviation From These Standards Jeopardizes The Integrity of The Data. This means that any mistakes in reporting claims can make the information less accurate and it affects the accuracy of any federally regulated reports. Therefore, I am invoking my rights to challenge these inaccurate and non-compliant items. Neglecting my demand will only prove that you DO NOT care about my rights as a consumer. Its NOT FAIR for you to report information that isnt confirmed to be ethical and meets the standards of certified reporting. Again, I am challenging these claims and asking for proof of the proper reporting standards. You are violating my rights! I have listed the concerns about your reporting in this document. It's not complete and does not meet my standards according to law, you must certify all aspects of required FCRA/ Metro 2 compliance which is done truthfully, correctly ( in a timely manner ), completely AND accurately as well - or else I would have to escalate these issues to the CFPB XXXX FTC and my Attorney General.
