Consumer Complaint: Pretrial conference was on XX/XX/XXXX ... Midland was represented by a lawyer who asked judge for judgement of {$1800.00} plus legal fees ... When in fact this case was settled with Midland on or about XX/XX/XXXX after I applied for and was awarded with hardship due to my XXXX status ... Yet their own lawyer told judge some 13 days after case was closed that they were still seeking monetary reward for them ... Sent a lawyer that has no clue that the case he was bringing had already been closed ... Judge motioned the hearing go to trial ... .I found out Midland had approved my hardship and closed my case AFTER the hearing ... .HOWEVER, their own lawyer should know the facts of the cases they are bringing into court ...

Consumer Complaint: I had two accounts approximately 14 years ago by 2 different companies. They are off of my credit report and have been for quite a while now. I received 2 notices from midland credit management attempting to collect these very old, out of statute debts. My wife called because the letters are also in violation of the FDCPA as there is no disclaimer stating due to the age of the debt they can not sue, and there are also false representations in the letter as it's asking for payment but gives no information on how to dispute said debt. I have never made any payments on these debts since they went delinquent over a decade ago and when I asked for proof, the rep on the phone stated she didn't have that evidence. All she said was the statute isn't up until XXXX, but these accounts were opened circa XXXX and XXXX and went delinquent within the same year. I have not heard from anyone trying to collect for these debts in over a decade.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2016. MIDLAND FUND LLC added a derogatory mark on my credit report per Identityiq. Upon, further research, this account was transferred/sold and I am no longer responsible for this account. Debtor 's creditor did not verify this collection. Also, there was NO written form of communication, contract, or SIGNATURE for this accused debt at all. A bill without a signature does not validate the debt and anybody can send me a bill and say its mines. According to the FCRA MIDLAND FUND LLC has violated my rights in multiple ways and I'm requesting legal action to remove this account Immediately. Also they do not have a license to collect in the state of Wisconsin.
