Consumer Complaint: This was a XXXX XXXXXXXX account that I paid with a check in full and they sold the debt to Midland funding collection agency. I recently got them to stop calling, threading and harassing me. I disputed this transaction many times and is still on my credit. I wrote a check to XXXX XXXX to stilt this account and they still sold it to Midland LLC. I even wrote on the check " Paid in full '' and they cashed it.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was served paper work for a civil lawsuit from Midland Credit Management INC. This was for a closed XXXX XXXX card from back in XXXX. I was paying all my bills and was current on my bills. I quit receiving statements since I had believed the account was paid in full and closed. On XX/XX/XXXX when I was served a civil court order to appear in court for a total balance of {$2900.00}, I noticed that the creditor had my incorrect address listed, showing me as living in an apartment not in a home. I live in a house not in an apartment complex. The address they had listed is not my correct address. So I do not know where the mail was going to with the incorrect address they had listed for me. I have not received any phone calls or letters in the mail from Midland Credit Management INC, until I was served with a summons to appear in court on XX/XX/XXXX. I pay my bills and I do not have issues in my credit. For a company to file a civil law suit and not follow federal law of notification to the consumer and ensure that the consumer has properly received the mail to make payments is not lawful. How can a company file a suit without properly notifying a consumer via certified mail to ensure the consumer receives the mail? The consumer then could respond to the mail if the consumer had received the mail going to the correct address. If the creditor never sent out mail to consumer to make the payments, how can this be a consumers problem?

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX, XXXX, after I pulled my credit report, I found out multiple accounts that did not belong to me, right after doing my own research, months later, to be exact on XXXX, XXXX, I submitted my first dispute to the credit bureaus, after about three weeks a received replies from them requesting me to file a Identity Theft Police Report, so I did. On XX/XX/XXXX I filed my Police Report, with the report in my hands, on XX/XX/XXXX, I started my dispute journey but this time I included my Police report. I did not send my disputes to the credit bureaus very often, since I am always busy, but so far since that time to date, I have submitted my package of Identity Theft at least four times. Unfortunately, I recently received multiple collection letters trying to collect on alleged debts that I really do not have any idea of. One of those collection letter is the one with MIDLAND CREDIT MANAGEMENT.

Consumer Complaint: I mailed a letter to the credit bureaus on XX/XX/2021 asking them to validate suspicious accounts i noticed on my credit report due to my identity being compromised. They have failed to even investigate or send me correspondence back indicating they did an investigation and what the out come was. I have no knowledge of these accounts XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ... US DEPT ED XXXX ... MIDLAND FUND ( Original Creditor : 01 XXXX XXXX ) XXXX that listed on my credit report. Further more, this account can not be 100 % accurate as there are open dates they have listed on my credit report varies between the 3 bureaus. How can one account be opened on different days? I want there alleged accounts in question to be removed from my credit report immediately.

These collections has been reported as past due balance. I do not know this company. I have never done any business with this company. I have sent several debt validation letters to this company and requested a contract with my wet signature on it to be sent to me to me and they have failed to do so every time. We called the debt collector on the report and they told us it was a XXXX XXXX credit card from XXXX which we never had and gave us an address in XXXX where they sent bills and we have never lived in XXXX. We called Midland credit management on XX/XX/XXXX talked to a collector and he told us to file this report. He said the amount is {$5400.00}.
