Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Consumer Complaint: Midland Credit Management, a debt collection agency employed by XXXX Bank reported a debt of {$640.00}, which was already incorrect and reflected fees and charges not associated with the original account filed a court lien against me in XXXX XXXX GA where I reside. XXXX XXXX the attorney 's office used to file the lien sent over a settlement agreement where the full debt would be settled for two payments of {$280.00} ( XXXX total ) to settle the debt. Both payments were received on XX/XX/2022. I was told 10 days from the last payment received that I would be sent the appropriate documentation and that the court lien would be withdrawn. Both Midland Credit and XXXX XXXX have failed to send appropriate documentation and continue to hold remaining debt despite our settlement agreement and refuse to update the credit beaurus with correct information.

Consumer Complaint: Last payment was sent in XX/XX/2020 which was right before the pandemic went worldwide, XXXX XXXX XXXX were closed and I did not have any means to pay since i was out of work for a few months. After I went back to work many XXXX XXXX were still closed so I waiting until I received a statement or letter from them which never arrived until recently. Now they are charging the wrong amount for non payment. I was owing {$700.00} and now they are charging me {$2000.00}. I do not owe this amount which would have me paying the debt all over again. Please look into this for me since I am not owing the amount they claim. I have no problem paying what I owe but I can not afford to pay the debt again from the beginning amount. Consumer Complaint: Midland credit management contacted my ex-husband, on his cell phone, looking for me, about debit that they say I owe from a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The person gave him the proposed amount due, the last 4 of my social security #, my physical address, my date of birth, date of last payment on the credit card ( 2019 ) and I have never received any mail or correspondence about this debt. Today, I received an early morning phone call, before XXXX from a gentleman that did not verify he was talking to the right person and a revealed all my personal info again on my cell phone ( name with spelling, date of birth ( wished me a " happy birthday '' ), last 4 of my social security and my full address with amount due and last pyment in 2019. I let the representative know I did not know what he was talking about, that I needed something mailed to me ASAP.

Consumer Complaint: I had an account with XXXX. I ordered two items. An headboard and modern sofa. I returned the sofa because I did not like it. The other item was an upholstery headboard which was only {$110.00}. I made my payment and verified with the representative after me paying the last XXXX since I owed nothing. She justified that. A year later XXXX hit my account stating I never paid. I called them and the representative said she didnt know why it was on my credit. I paid them off and it should not even hit my credit. They had no explanation. I asked if they could send the notes from my account where they saw it notated I dont owe anything. I have been reaching out to XXXX more than a year. They have now sold my account the second time to midland credit management where they are saying I owe XXXX and calling and harassing me. I do not owe them XXXX. They should not even have my information.
