Consumer Complaint: Discover Card called me to say that they had a clerical error when my resolution of debt was paid off that resulted in me owing $XXXX extra. Discover calls daily 4-5 times a day and leaves a voicemail at XXXX every day. I've told the supervisor who I originally spoke with that I'm available around XXXX for lunch to talk. The numbers they call me from are XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. They called me today (XX/XX/19) at XXXX XXXX and left a voicemail, and again at XXXX. Yesterday (XX/XX/19) I received a call at XXXX that left a voicemail and then called again at XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. Additionally, I've received NO physical notification to indicate what the debt actually consists of.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX Discover Credit card company called my 2 accounts, my one account ending in XXXX which I had for over 4 years was closed, and my newest account ending in XXXX was closed also, Discover claimed it pulled a credit report from XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX and on this report they claim I had 3 collections and that they choose to close my good standing account which I was never late and paid in full monthly for over 4 years! When I contacted Discover to inform them, that this is a mistake on my credit report, they refuse to look into the matter and reconsider, what really had my upset, is one my account ending in XXXX I paid this account in full, and was never late, and they closed my account without warning, damaging my credit report in the process. In account ending in XXXX this was a secured card, that I actually graduated from with their step program and was awarded to unsecured, and then they turn around and closed my account anyways without regard to the consumer! The credit report they pulled from XXXX XXXX doesnt show collections on my report! And the information was either a mistake or outdated! No one from discover called prior to it being a issue and no warning was in place for me to respond to them about their concerns. My credit is great now! And its in jeopardy because Discover closed my oldest accounts without warning!

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2019 I just received a request from DISCOVER Credit Card Service asking me to sign Document 4506-T. I appears to me, by signing this document, DISCOVER will then have access to my IRS tax returns and any other info IRS may have on me. DISCOVER did not require me to sign such a document when they extended me credit years ago so I don't see why they feel they are entitled to it today. I have been doing business with them for years and ALWAYS pay my bill on-time and in full. They told me if I don't sign, they will cancel my accounts. They have already froze my account so I can't even see my recent transactions or where I stand financially with them. I have given them absolutely no reason to take this action.

Consumer Complaint: I mailed a letter to Discover with my discover card and told them that I would be unable to pay any debt for my card or loan for at least three months and to cease attempting to contact me in any form except one phone call they may make in order to tell me they are filing a lawsuit and where I can go to get the summons. Since then I have been contacted at a minimum twice a day while I am at work totally ignoring my cease and desist letter.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Card opened as result of identity theft or fraud
Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/XXXX. I resent my FTC ID Theft affidavit, with new information attached to Discover card, both to their Office of Consumer advocacy and their credit reporting department. I sent the package via certified mail to confirm they received it. To date, they have refused receipt of the package because the package with the new information requires them to not post ANY information on my credit report. Since they are refusing to take the package via mail, I have to issue this complaint so they can receive it via this platform. This is yet another example of Discover Card 's shady and purposefully negligent actions in dealing with their gross failure in security regarding my personal information - assigning a card to someone else.
