Consumer Complaint: I acquired an auto loan for a defective vehicle, once I found the vehicle to be defective beyond repair I returned it to the auto dealer who accepted the title and car. The bank Credit Acceptance however has kept my first payment and keeps refusing my requests to even speak with a manager about the loan reversal, which has been in processing since XX/XX/XXXX. Id also like it struck from my credit report as I 'd like to be able to apply for another loan from another company and lease a different vehicle from a different dealer but can not until this is resolved.

Consumer Complaint: My husband I obtained an auto loan through this company and kept the account current. On or about XXXX XXXX, 2016 the vehicle was involved in a fire and was deemed a total loss. At this time the auto loan had a balance of {$7300.00} My primary insurance issued a payment on or about XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$3900.00}. Gap insurance issued a payment on or about XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$2900.00}. Afterwards, I had made several attempts to set up payment arrangements that were satisfactory to XXXX parties ; unfortunately they were unable to accommodate a payment plan without issuing a derogatory mark on my credit report. When I called to today, XXXX XXXX, 2016, to pay the full balance they informed me that they reported that my payments were XXXX days past due. I stated that it has only been XXXX days since they received a payment and I believe that there is 30 days to make a payment since the last payment, so if anything I would be XXXX days past due. I paid the balance in full in an effort to minimize the impact that this account will have on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I have a Volkswagen Jetta XXXX XXXX. When I got the car XX/XX/XXXX the car was having problems with the transmission. I took it to a dealer and they checked to see if I needed oil, or a new transmission. The guy that looked at the car had said the car was n't worth the money that I was going to put into it. I called the place where I got the car from which is XXXX XXXX XXXX. I spoke with the owner, I told him just what was told to me. The owner response was its nothing he could do about it because it was included in my 90 day warranty. My warranty was still active. I called Credit Acceptance and asked them what to do. They told me it 's nothing that they could do. I continued to pay on my car. I still drive the car because that 's the only transportation I have to and from work. It 's been two weeks today XXXX XXXX XXXX since I 've drove my car because it wo n't crank. It wo n't do anything. I had spoke with Credit Acceptance again and they told me that we could work out a way for me to make my car payments. I told them I could I pay on something I ca n't use. It 's been very stressful and just nerve wrecking not being able to work how I 'm supposed to.

Consumer Complaint: Car lot took XXXX of my vehicles in on trade towards XXXX I was purchasing. We had discussed using Credit Acceptance to finance the balance but on the day of delivery, I paid off the balance in cash instead of financing. The car lot never listed my trade in on the contract but did list the cash down payment while still putting the loan into processing to receive that money as well. Now I am being billed for money that I did n't use or borrow. I am attaching a copy of the title that was released to me showing no security interests which would n't have been the case had I financed any money on this BMW.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX I, XXXX XXXX, was co-signer on an auto loan with XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX TN, terms spanning 48 mo., 24 % APR & mo. payments of {$430.00} through Credit Acceptance , Corp. ( CA herein ). First major delinquency was XX/XX/XXXX due to loss of employment & the balance due according to XXXX credit bureaus is {$3600.00}, but balance due as reported by CA {$3500.00}. The XXXX value of the repo 'd SUV for dealer trade in TODAY is {$1200.00} & SUV was repo 'd in XX/XX/XXXX. I did n't receive notice of the sale of the vehicle, but was furnished a copy of what CA claimed to have sent me regarding resale. No deficiency balance ever noted!!! A couple years went by with no correspondence from CA until XXXX/XXXX/XXXX when the sheriff delivered me a final judgment, entered by default as of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Upon receiving this, I called XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( XXXX herein ) who identified themselves as debt collectors for CA saying the balance due as of judgment is now {$6900.00} & to call for payment arrangements. I was confused and skeptical, as I had already paid roughly {$20000.00} on the contract & there was no record of a deficiency balance applied. After researching more on my own, as circumstantially I could not afford legal advisory, on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I sent a request via certified mail usps to XXXX for a complete debt validation to include all info in my file, the original contract & a full accounting of all transactions. In response to my request on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I only received a general response & a copy of the final judgment, no debt validation & no account of the proceeds, deficiency balance or how the sale was processed & there are NO DOCUMENTED PROCEEDS from the deficiency balance towards what is owed, EVER. I was hesitant to make pymnt arrangements in fear of validating the debt, but when I called the courthouse to verify the judgment, it was on file as a legally binding document. As of XX/XX/XXXX, CA has reported the account status with all XXXX credit bureaus with the delinquencies and repossession noted, but never once was a judgment or public notice recorded & said account has been closed as of XX/XX/XXXX, to be scheduled for removal by XX/XX/XXXX. All XXXX credit bureaus reported the same data. Something was n't right & I had read hundreds of complaints via internet regarding unfair & illegal practices by CA. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I hesitantly made the first payment of 9 for the {$75.00} arrangement agreement to XXXX from my XXXX checking and have the records. The most recent payment cleared XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Within that time period, I 've only received XXXX notices from XXXX, the most recent dated XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, stating the amount due was {$7400.00} & that their " client has informed them of a special opportunity to fully satisfy this debt by payment of a significantly reduced amount ''. No other forms of correspondence attempted. Last Thursday, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I went to use my debit card and it was declined even though I had over {$1700.00} in my account & had just deposited my payroll. XXXX bank informed me that my account was levied by CA & without any prior notice from my bank or CA. The telephone # I was given sends me to a TN county clerk & that is all the contact info provided. I still have yet to receive any notice from my bank or XXXX or CA regarding the levy & questioning if all this is legal practice. I 've heard of CA judgments being vacated after entered due to CA filing fraudulent affidavits with the courts. When I calculate the amount due under the terms by CA in the judgment, I get completely different amounts and I think they are suing for interest on attorney fees, other interest charges and there are credits of {$0.00} for deficiency and resale of SUV? I definitely can not afford a lawyer now & thinking this is a fraudulent attempt to collect before the SOL is up because the judgment is fraud. Can they take all of my payroll check deposited just before too? I am asking for help with the legalities of this please

Consumer Complaint: I bought a XXXX Chevrolet at a used car lot. The full sum {$8600.00}. When I drove it off the lot The brake light, the ABS light, the drivers airbag was on constant, the passenger airbag light on constant, The was NO drive/reverse/park, neautral, D1, D2 showing at all to know where I selected. The brake pedal was low and spongy. This vehicle is UNSAFE. I brought it back the next day to be corrected Their mechanic hooked up his OBDll tool and found nothing. I brought back the truck within 48 hours of buying it and told he company it is unsafe for the person in charge I do n't want it. I left the keys with the person in charge. I gave {$1100.00} cash up front. I asked for my money back. They have been ignoring my requests.

Consumer Complaint: I made a change to the withdrawl date of my car payment, last time I had chosen to change the date I had spoken to XXXX that informed me I had the option do so so myself online and make changes without having to call the office. I took it upon myself and followed through online, I came to find out today that there were XXXX withdrawls on my account which are not authorized. I called the financial institution and was told XXXX XXXX that I had set up XXXX accounts, the rep cancelled the 2nd withdrawl but informed me that it was my fault therefore there was no refund to be made.She apologized for the miscommunication but that is not what I had been told.

Consumer Complaint: I have a loan out with credit acceptation and I 'm being harass at XXXX to XXXX to XXXX at night i work XXXX and my boss told them she can not have personal phone calls unless their family issues .so the call any ways so he wrote them and had me signed it but we did n't make copies we just mail it off that no phone calls at work.now my loan is XXXX i been paying XXXX now a month came and i call to tell a manager i would be short i had XXXX he applied you have been in good status so theirs nothing he can do unless I 'm behind so i went paid the XXXX and i have all receipt so i stop paying XXXX and went back paying XXXX and now they telling me I 'm behind and adding late charges like no torrmow and calling all through the morning evening nights at work in bed in the shower I 'm getting a lady calling me threating me i got on a plan where i told them i will pay but i got laid off but i will pay them on the XXXX each month for {$410.00} and they get mad and angry so XXXX continue maying {$410.00} and this month on the XXXX i paid {$500.00} again and the bug me and bug me with private numbers and personal numbers and block numbers all times of mornings and evening and nights and recent today twice yesterday twice. Please help I 'm still paying just hard some time but I 'm still paying and now i have been ignore all calls but i pay faithful thanks, and on time i walk in all the time and i have all paper work.

Consumer Complaint: I would like to obtain help with understanding how my finance company is calculating payments and the amount of time a payment is late. in XXXX I was {$640.00} behind on my payment. On XXXX XXXX my vehicle was reposessed. On XXXX XXXX I paid {$750.00} to have my car returned. That according to them left me awith a {$100.00} credit. A few days later they were charged a {$250.00} repo fee. That left {$150.00} of repo fee, not payment owed. I then made payment for XXXX on XXXX XXXX. of my standard payment of XXXX. Still leaving the repo fee owed. I am not disputing owing the repo fee, I just dont feel that the fee should be accounted into my days behind on my regular payment as they are XXXX seperate items. Since the company is counting the repo fee as a past due payment, they are claimim=ng that my entire payment is more than 40 days past due, which is not the case. My standard payment of XXXX was due on XXXX XXXX when I paid XXXX payment but because they are counting repo fee as part of my payment, they are unwilling to offer an extention for my standard payment.
