Consumer Complaint: The company coinbase stated I owed them money and that after I pay them {$26.00} I would be able to buy on their platform. I paid them the {$26.00} and they took my money and then stated buys on my account is disabled even though I paid Coinbase the {$26.00} as part of our agreement. To offer to restore a customer account if a customer pays and then after the customer pays disable the customer from buying on the platform immediately after the customer pays is a scam. I was scammed by Coinbase I have photos and other documentation from customer service representatives to prove this. The representatives admitted that Coinbase violated the agreement we had as they stated the restriction my account has is an effect of the previous restriction my account had. Coinbase had me pay them {$26.00} to remove the restriction on my account just to take my money and restrict my account again for no reason. This is a violation of the agreement Coinbase promised me after I paid them {$26.00} my account would be restored just to scam me. My account email is XXXX XXXX

Upon accessing Coinbase account, they sold crypto of value XXXX XXXX XXXX ( I know the exact figure becuase coinbase support provided a transaction report ) and withdrew the resulting funds. I contacted Coinbase almost immediately to report the fraud via phone and email. Over the past 10 months I have provided numerous pieces of evidence including a police report to support my case for compensation. I have been reassured mutliple times by Coinbase operatives on the phone and via email that I will recieve compensation but the last written comms I have from the company was in XXXX and when I call the helpline I am told to wait for email comms. I do not understand how a listed company can have no process for dealing with these things.
