Consumer Complaint: I have reported this to the XXXX and they suggested I follow up with the CFPB.. I don't know what else to call this other than this company is a complete fraud and should be treated as such for how they treat their customers. I have been working with a Crypto Currency company called Coinbase. I have many questions and concerns and there is no support team whatsoever. Any time I have filed for support their email is no longer operational or I receive automated responses that someone will reach out to me, no one ever does, but I get a " How did we do? '' email from them. I have a lot of money invested in cryptocurrency and for a company to be completely and utterly absent is not only completely wrong but no way to do business. There is 0 explanation, 0 feedback, 0 support... how am I supposed to conduct business and now even remove my business when there's no information or support on how to do so. My hands are tied.

This happened until all my currencies were converted to BTC. I had over {$400000.00} in my account at the time of the hack. A delay was put on a single transaction at XXXX. Then {$2000.00} was withdrawn from my back account. At XXXX they sent XXXX BTC to a wallet ( XXXX ). This was attempted XXXX times from XXXX. I attempted to freeze my account at XXXX, however I didn't get through to Coinbase support for over XXXX minutes, while they drained my account ( originally I was told XXXX minutes ). I was not openly giving out any information with regards to emails or password. Coinbase did not recognize the fraudulent activity. They did not act swiftly to freeze my account for suspicious or unauthorized transactions.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I purchased XXXX XXXX XXXX Coinbase at XXXX per XXXX. A few days later I noticed that Coinbase was locking up purchases and sales of XXXX. Remembering XXXX XXXX theft in XXXX concerning other securities, I decided to record video and picture evidence that my purchases had been made, and that I had received the correct amount of XXXX. I also downloaded a report ( essentially a receipt of transaction ) from Coinbase, which also backs up the purchase I made. Days later the amount of XXXX in my account was reduced to XXXX. I was given no notice of this happening. It was also at this time that I noticed I could not make any sales through my account, but I could still make purchases ( which seems fishy at best, and fraudulent at worse ). I attempted to contact Coinbase, however they did not immediately respond, and so I also filed complaints to multiple regulatory agencies. Recently they did respond to me and tried to claim that it was a display error. This is not true, as I was given a receipt which stated I purchased XXXX XXXX at XXXX per XXXX. A display issue would not have registered in the report. I still am not allowed to make sales through Coinbase, only purchases. What is the point of purchasing XXXX on an exchange when you are then cut off from selling said crypto? This is fraudulent behavior. I have already lost out on multiple profit opportunities due to Coinbase 's fraudulent behavior.

Consumer Complaint: Coinbase Global permitted cryptocurrency, XXXX to be traded on it's platform. It is identified as a stable coin to mirror the exact cost of the XXXX XXXX ( {$0.00} ). However, since it has been on Coinbase, the price of the XXXX coin has fluctuated as normal cryptocoins, and was extremely volatile during the week of XXXX XX/XX/2021 The price of the XXXX coin went up to as high as {$0.00} and above. Coinbase permitted investors to purchase the XXXX coin all throughout its rise up to {$0.00} and above. I personally invested a total of {$11000.00} in XXXX coin at various entry points ( average purchase price was between $ XXXX ). Out of the blue and without warning, Coinbase set the price of the XXXX to {$0.00} and everyone that invested thousands of dollars, lost their investments all of a sudden. It seems like a scheme or a scam deliberately to rob people of their hard earned money. Coinbase has been evasive to thousands of people asking questions about what is going on and whether we are going to get our money back. This is a huge issue and you can find several people discussing this. Please help asap. Coinbase has frozen access to funds, and have not permitted any trading of the XXXX coin nor permitted people to get their money back at all.

Consumer Complaint: I am a COINBASE account holder that has been using their service to buy and sell cryptocurrencies regularly. On XX/XX/2021 an unauthorized transaction occurred on my account without any notification. My entire ETH ( ethereum ) cryptocurrency holdings were sent to a non disclosed location/entity. The total amount of Ethereum lost was XXXX at a value of {$16000.00}. I discovered this on XX/XX/2021 when I logged into my coinbase account and noticed that a large amount of my portfolio was missing. I subsequently spent the next several days on the phone with COINBASE support teams ( which averaged over an hour on hold each time ) who were unable to tell me where my holdings were sent to, why this happened, and whether I'll be reimbursed. They sent me several emails with instructions to change my account password, update my cyber security software, and freeze my account ( all of which I completed ). I was also asked to review my transaction history and contact my local authorities. After reviewing my transaction history it was shown that the funds that I lost were sent to an account titled XXXX XXXX '. I subsequently called coinbase support to ask them what this means and was told that a 'specialist ' is looking into the case. They were unable to provide me with the specialists name or offer any reason to why this happened. After researching on the internet it seems that other users have experienced similar issues to mine around the same timeline. It was advised on a XXXX thread to contact the CFPB and FTC which I am now doing given that I havent received any adequate help from COINBASE

Consumer Complaint: I opened a Coinbase account and purchased several cryptocurrencies. When I sign on to my account I can get no details about the assets I hold. I have tried contacting them but get no response. They give you the run around when trying to request on line help and unilaterally close any case you open with them before your problem is solved. I am unable to get access to my assets held with them. They currently hold approx. {$6000.00} to {$9000.00} of my assets. I was trying to sell some assets but they have since gone down in value and have been losing money as a result of them not giving me access to my account. XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX, I purchased XXXX token from Coinbase during its initial listing. The price per coin was displaying well over XXXX cents despite that fact that the description was listed as a stable coin pegged to the XXXX YEN. The value of the coin continued to increase throughout the day so I made several more purchases to potentially increase my profits. I then received additional tokens from Coinbase which were converted to another token " XXXX '' at XXXX which held even more profit potential. This transaction was completed and a reference code or hash rate of " XXXX '' was assigned. Several hours later, Coinbase halted trading of the XXXX token claiming to be experiencing technical difficulties through an error message listed on the trading tab for XXXX. The XXXX wallet 's Buy/Sell feature was disabled shortly afterwards as well as the ability to Withdraw or Send tokens from customers portfolios. A few days later Coinbase representatives withdrew all remaining XXXX tokens from my wallet. Then less then 24 hours later they returned some of these tokens. All withdrawals and deposits were done without reference codes or accompanying email confirmations as all trades, transfers, deposits and withdrawals do per their own user agreement. On XXXX at XXXX Coinbase representatives withdrew all of the remaining tokens within my portfolio totaling approximately {$1000.00} leaving me with a balance of XXXX. This included tokens which were not XXXX and were purchased with USD through my debit card. I reached out to customer support and received no explanation as to why my account had been drained or my trading capabilities limited. Coinbase representatives also restricted my access to trade, buy, sell or withdraw within my linked Coinbase Pro account which have not been reinstated. After reviewing transactions within my portfolio 's ledger it was also clear to see that XXXX totals had been altered several times. This was even done to my completed token conversion transaction into XXXX which is a direct violation of the customer user agreement. I have several screenshots as proof of the tampering in an effort to force losses onto their customers due to negligence or errors.
